I spent pretty much all of today taking apart the entry system for a dungeons and dragon character sheet builder. Just so I could copy over some of my homebrew stuff into it.
Wasn’t overly difficult, considering the entire thing just uses text files, but it took some digging to find out how certain aspects apply and where.
Even now with I have a few things that aren’t adding up properly, but I managed to copy over the feats, backgrounds and races that I have.
I am actually considering implementing a couple of the popular ones from D&D Beyond too just for full scope.
The fun part will be getting over the spells I have made over time.
Especially Burning Grasp, that meme cantrip of mine where I accidentally mistook burning hands as a fire version of shocking grasp.
They’re not even remotely similar. Nothing is similar about a cone flamethrower and a touch taser.

My friend has been working on their new feycourt lore but it’s been slow going because they’ve been busy.
But I really want them to hurry up and finish it so that I can do adjustments on it because I am curious about what they’re making and the bits I have heard are good enough that I think I could include it in my shared campaign lore.
So I want it for reference.
Hm, well at least I have my own ongoing Lantan project to work on in the meantime. I actually finished the lore portion, I am now just writing an example campaign that uses the lore.

Aside from a couple of neat scenes the whole concept just isn’t appealing.
They’re really milking this franchise, and I know it will work because there are just no other dinosaur franchises…
If you want to see dinosaurs your only option is Jurassic. And that kind of sucks really. But I get why.

One of my favourite things to do when I need to keep some information tabbed off to the side for easy access or quick reference, or just for a few minutes later in general, is to send it to someone as a discord image and say “Here hold this for me please, thank you”. As if I was just handing them an item in person to hold onto for a moment.
No context or anything.
I will just send a screenshot of a paragraph, or a table, or just an entire contextless image etc.
I never explain afterwards either. I will just say thanks and then move on.
It’s great, I love doing it.

I ended up on the weird horror side of youtube.
But not even the scary side.
The literary analysis of horror games side… Which was, strange, but also informative.
It was interesting to see people exploring the narratives and gameplay of a genre I have nothing to do with. I genuinely can’t play horror games.
In fact I did try FNAF once I think really long ago… wondering how it could be hard. But I only did a couple of rounds and uninstalled it. Turns out I have no patience for games that are purely “Here are five buttons now master them.”

So after getting into writing a full adventure module for D&D 5th Ed, I have a new found appreciation for adventure module writers.
There is a great deal of artistry that goes into making a coherent through-line for an adventure while leaving contingency space for contact with players, that isn’t dumping the heavy lifting on the DM.
Anyway, for me, I have been having fun with it overall. The hardest challenge is trying to guesstimate how fast players will resolve certain parts of the problems, if I make too many then it won’t fit a session, but too few and you will have to start padding. It’s a challenge.

One of my favourite parts of Forgotten Realms lore is that there is a nation of paranoid moon people who are completely CONVINCED that all of Toril is plotting to invade the moon, and they live their life in perpetual fear of the coming invasion that must be coming Soon.
The people of Toril have no clue these people are on the moon by the way, there’s a huge illusion around the moon thanks to a certain goddess protecting them.
Their paranoia has zero basis or foundation in reality, they just imagined the entire thing. But what’s great is that they’re completely fine with EVERYONE else. It’s just if you come from Toril they will think you are some forward invasion force or spy which needs immediate elimination.
The reason I bring this up is because I am giving my Lantan gnomes early spacecraft in the lore I have been developing for them, so I am definitely going to write an adventure based on From Earth To The Moon, but it’s gonna be more like “From Toril to Selune”.

Several of the shops where I live are having technical issues as a result of a cyber attack which is preventing them from ordering restocks properly.
Apparently nobody has a way to do this manually anymore, technology has ruined us.
Anyway the result is I have been having to buy substitutes of substitutes for my regular snacks.
It’s the worst case scenario me.
I would not survive an apocalypse, I can barely survive a minor technical malfunction.
