I know they’re good grammar, they’re not bad, in fact I used to like them a lot.
But now whenever I see them I just go “Oh, this was done using AI wasn’t it?”
It’s instinctive at this point, no escape. I am sorry to all you good writers out there using them authentically.
Actually I want to test it now, I want to go read a book from ten or twenty years ago written by an author that uses em dashes and seeing if my brain flags the content.

I was doing some more of my work on my DnD supplement material for Lantan and I made the discovery that Lantan almost fits inside the English Channel.
You have to do quite a lot of rotating to get all the parts to slot in separately though. Lantan’s widest point is just a bit wider than the widest point of the channel.
Would never have guessed how small it was.
However that revelation did let me put an undersea train tunnel connecting to the two main islands of Lantan, so way to go gnomes!

Weird. This entire week has felt out of sync to me actually, I kept thinking it was the wrong day the entire time.
I’m not sure if there is a proper reason, but I wasn’t the only one in the house to make that mistake this week, so I am probably not going insane.

As I work on my completely homebrew Lantan lore, that’s as original lore accurate as possible, I have run into a major roadblock.
Namely – oh god every single map of this place that exists is different.
The mountains are moved. The islands are resized. The coast changes terrain.
What am I even supposed to do with this? Make something up? Choose my favourite? Mix-and-match bits from all of them?
I was not prepared for this!

It’s not as nice… it’s my first time getting the alternative version but wow. I didn’t realise you could make a cheap drink taste even cheaper.

But it includes a Trilobite inspired player race…?
School of Taxonomy for Wizard sounds hilarious though, I wanna know what’s going on there because the fights must get heated. Have you seen the constant back and forth of taxonomy updates?
They have one book out called Dr Dhrolin’s Dictionary of Dinosaurs but the kickstarter with the Trilobite race and a few others is called Professor Primula’s Portfolio of Palaeontology.

I was venting about how the 5e setting books contain barely any lore and accidentally got signed up by proxy to a campaign I am entirely unprepared for.
They just fully ran with my potential interest as a 100% guarantee so yeah…
I have no idea what the campaign is, or the setting, I know what system they’re using at least but… I really need to figure everything out if I am going to play.
I might back out because this is very sudden.
I also need to prep for whatever my friends want me to run in 5e.
