We are nearing the end of this volume, next week will be the next one in fact.
I haven’t read ahead into the next volume yet so I actually have no idea what to expect, I have seen the cover art though.
Speaking of art, it seems we’ve finally reached the end of the string of artworks we had in the previous chapters…
Well, as long as you don’t count the upcoming cover art?
I attended my interview this morning.
I survived…
I survived, but in my attempt to be friendly I think I accidentally undermined myself with excess honesty.
In other news, I finally caught up on ReZero.
I forgot how great this arc of the novel was… Also Subaru’s awesome epic speech is coming up in a few episodes.
I’m really looking forward to that one.
I think when you read this I should be just getting home from my job interview.
I wonder how it went.
I am a bundle of anxiety right now over it honestly.
Hurray for social anxiety and autism am I right?
Here is your part 2!
Sadly I am busy preparing for a job interview so I didn’t really have time to think of many pre-chapter rambles.
You’ll have to make do with this.
So, today I finally finished the long term event on Project Neural Cloud.
It was a long grind, but finally, after six months, I have cleared all the rewards!
I wonder if the event will vanish from my event tab now?
It is a permanent event designed to drip feed you rewards as you play, but I don’t know if they hide it once you clear it all…
Would be weird to leave it there, but gacha games aren’t always the most logically coded you know?
I’ve been watching the Planet Coaster 2 pre-release content and I have to say that it looks nice.
Aside from the fact the UI looks built for consoles, and that makes it so hard to navigate on PC.
There are some weird design choices overall, but every game has weird annoying design choices these days.
The woes of investor requirements.
Well, I’m not going to play it anyway, I enjoy watching other people build stuff in those sorts of games.
My mental state has taken a dive recently and my usual routine of ignoring reality until it becomes inescapable isn’t working properly.
Why did I have to have the double hit of employment stress and social stress?
If I want to focus on dealing with the employment stress then an important friendship of mine will fall apart.
But I don’t even know how to deal with that friendship issue so focusing on it might not achieve anything at the expense of the employment issue…
Ah.
The woes of my life.
Okay, self pity time is over, one of these problems is my own doing anyway so I just need to resolve it, I’m stressing over something I created.
I’m short sighted like that.
Why did I even create this situation in the first place? Who knows. Ask past me.
I always like chapter numbers like this, they feel nice.
Chapter 111, 222, 333… etc
It feels even more significant when you get into the 1111 range of course, but that’s mostly reserved for chinese novels.
I wonder why that is?
You know the other day I checked out the Arifureta web novel again out of nostalgia, and for some reason I remembered it being way longer than it actually was!
Well, it is really long now because of all the epilogue nonsense chapters (I love them don’t get me wrong) that have eclipsed the original novel in size.
I somehow got involved in watching Reincarnated as a Slime again.
Amusingly I got a tweet notification that started with [Notice] and my brain autoprocessed it into the way Great Sage says it in my head.
But that’s not the main thing I wanted to talk about, just an amusing anecdote.
I was mostly impressed by how the anime is still going for Slime.
I think the only other anime I’ve seen go for completion like this that isn’t for a generic shounen is Strike the Blood.
Well, there’s still room for Slime to end up unfinished, and Danmachi might achieve that goal first.
We’ll see, who will achieve goalhood!
Comicon was less fun than hoped, but I knew that going in…
After all, I was attending to serve as a guide to four young teens and two of their mothers.
We only saw half the con in the end, and I had to do so much walking.
They also managed to spend half an hour using the toilet at one point…
I am honestly not sure how that is even possible.
The timezone changes tonight, we go from the legendary British Summer Time back to normie time.
Alas, this is great suffering for me, for it means my schedule desyncs from my gacha games.
On the plus side I guess since I will be at comicon my schedule is already ruined in regards to those games…
So it’s only one problem combined instead of two different ones?
Although I will need to adjust my sleeping pattern after… hahaha… I’m such a loser-.
We’ve spent a whole 11 chapters on this section now!
I’m starting to question the author, anyone else feeling like this is getting dragged out a bit?
Maybe it’s because we’re reading at a weekly pace it feels even longer?
I’m not sure what the original release rate was for these chapters, that might be something worth factoring in actually.
If my understanding of life the universe and everything is correct, at the time you are reading this I should be at comicon in London.
Sadly I will be running chaperone instead of fully enjoying it myself, but such is the way of life.
I look forward to spending the day there though.
Hopefully I will come back with some merch, though since it’s the final day I don’t hold that much hope…
I’ll prioritise going to artist alley first though, you never know with that place.
Might even run into someone I have commissioned once before… that would be wild.
