“My… it’s marvelous,” Archbishop Chris, Myuri’s father, who’d do the ceremony, commented.

Today was the day of Uruto and Parasuna’s wedding. Since the day before yesterday, I had continuously prepared without sleeping (at least that was how it probably looked, but in reality, I had slept in the magic room) and finally finished last evening.

With my own and the bride and groom’s sensibilities in mind, I kept the decorations simple but gorgeous. I wanted people to marvel the moment the stepped into the church, like Chris right now. Though I hadn’t used any special enchantments.

It was also designed so people would gradually get used to it mentally. That was to prevent them from just admiring the decorations and not paying any attention to the bride and groom, who were supposed to be the stars.

As for who would be at the wedding venue… it was mainly close friends of Uruto and Parasuna and colleagues from work. Then, there were dozens of dignitaries from other countries and adventurers at SS-Rank or higher.

Adventurers at S-Rank and lower, who had no personal connection to the bride and groom and didn’t get a direct invitation, wouldn’t attend the ceremony. They could only see them in the afternoon when there’d be a parade around the city. It wasn’t Uruto and Parasuna who came up with that idea but the king and his close aides. It would surely be crowded with people.

Also, due to the events the other day, my younger brother and the other three now fulfilled the requirements to attend the wedding, so they’d be there, too. They just barely made it on the guest list.

Quite the lavish lunch was planned for the wedding. Well, I cooked it, so that part was obvious. I came up with recipes to get rid of more than 10% of my stock of cooking ingredients, and since they had been harvested from dungeon monsters, they were commonly seen as high-class ingredients. I was lucky in that regard.

Also, I prepared the whole program of what would be featured during the wedding. As their friend, Gilmars would hold a speech at some point. Then, there would be special events using pictures and fireworks.

To be honest, I had a lot of concerns at the start, but as “Alim Nariwei” going all out, I couldn’t let anyone leave unsatisfied.

“I would love such wonderful decorations at my daughter’s wedding, too.”
“You mean when Miss Myuri and Mr. Orgo get married?”
“Indeed… As archbishop, I have attended many weddings, but the decorations here are by far the best. I suppose this was to be expected with you holding Item Master.”
“Eh-heh-heh.”

Hearing him say that tells me that it is good enough. Great, this should calm my anxiety a bit.

“Hey! Alim!”
“Oh, Mr. Gilmars!”

Although it was still rather early, Gilmars had come, wearing a stylish suit. It was still two hours before the bride and groom would arrive at the church.

On that note, it was currently 6 am. At 8 am, Uruto and Parasuna would arrive, and from 9 am on the guests. The ceremony itself would begin at 10 am.

“Isn’t it still a bit early?”
“Well, you’re not wrong. Look, I’m going to hold a speech in front of everyone, right? I mean, I memorized it a bit. Or rather, I should know it by heart now, but I never did that in front of so many people.”
“I’m surprised that would happen to someone as experienced as you, Mr. Gilmars.”
“It happens. I’m only human. Besides, there will be tons of people attending.”

So, even someone who was seen as supreme commander among SSS-Rankers (not including those who acted in special roles, like me as the hero) could get this nervous? Well, from how he talked earlier, he didn’t seem that tense, so maybe he simply decided to come early.

“Well, I’m sure Uruto and Parasuna will also arrive early,” he mused.
“You might be right.”

No matter how you looked at it, most top rankers had intense personalities.

“Hey there, Alim!”
“Oh, Mr. Bacchus!”

The winemaker had also come. As representative of the bride and groom’s mutual friends, his job would apparently be to tell anecdotes. Also, all the alcohol that would be served came from his company. That part was a foregone conclusion.

“Wow… it looks super fancy… but also calming.”
“Eh-heh-heh, thank you for saying that!”
“Yep, with all this, I’m sure those two will never forget this day,” Bacchus, who was likely the one who knew the bride and groom best, commented earnestly. “I know just how hard those two worked… this makes me as happy as if it was my own wedding.”

“I see.”
“Yes, they really had to go through a lot of hardship. And they’re only 22,” he said with a laugh.

It felt like he was truly happy about their marriage.

“In any case, we gotta make this the best wedding possible.”
“We will!”

Still, right now, we could only wait until it started.
…Four more hours until the ceremony.
