The week passed in a flash, and it became Sunday.

On Monday, we’d immediately return to Anazumu, where I’d start to seriously prepare for Uruto and Parasuna’s wedding. Still, I made a lot of progress with my plans since I had a whole week of classes to consider things. As a matter of fact, all that was left was to create everything.

…I was able to think about that instead of focusing on studying since we used all kinds of doping to prepare for the lessons in Anazumu. I promise, I wasn’t slacking off. Learning everything you needed to graduate from high school plus passing the entry exam for university wasn’t something you could do on Earth in a few days.

That might’ve been unfair, but… heh-heh… I had to die once to get access to that privilege. Thanks to that, I could also play video games and spend time with Mika to my heart’s content.

And there was more! The number of love letters Mika and I got went down by a lot. The total we got was probably half of what each of us received before we started dating. Some people still hadn’t given up, which was honestly surprising, but it looked like almost everyone had accepted that fact that we were a couple.

Shuu and Rir being an item had become rather well-known, too, and I recently often heard that many boys and girls on our school were jealous of my friend. Evidence of that was how his new nickname, Harem King, had spread throughout the school.

“Ayumu… are you ready?” Mika peeked in from the neighboring room.

Today, the two of us were going on a date. It was our first date on Earth since we started our relationship. It was long overdue, and we had decided on this Sunday quite some time ago, since this would be a day when we’d be fine to go out somewhere.

On that note, Kanata, Shuu, and their respective partners were also having their dates today. They had left before us. Maybe we would run into them during the day… Well, I didn’t expect that to happen. We had different destinations.

Incidentally, Mika dressed up fancier for our date on Earth than she usually did. She wore a pink hairpin that stood out on her black hair, and she had applied just a bit natural make-up on her face which would’ve looked good even without that. Even if I wanted to look anywhere else, my eyes were automatically drawn to her.

Her clothes were chosen around a green skirt, and you could see that she spent a great deal of time to coordinate everything. Summing it up, she looked too cute to put into words.

Even though I saw her and spent time with her daily, for her to look this charming-

“Oh, Ayumu! You have that thousand-yard stare!”
“Wha-!!”

She had extended her hand through the window and lightly touched my face.
Oops, I was completely spellbound.

“Is something wrong? Are you unwell?”
“No, I was just captivated by you.”
“Th-That was a bit much for ‘just being captivated’. Eh-heh-heh, do I look pretty?”
“That doesn’t even begin to describe you.”
“Th-Thank you.”

She seemed both embarrassed and happy. Even though she should’ve been used to be called cute by everyone, she still reacted like this. She was cute, so it was unavoidable.

“You also look… handsome today, Ayumu.”
“Heh-heh, I guess that’s true.”

I chose one of the few masculine and cool-looking outfits I owned and used hair dressing tools to change my hair into a form that wouldn’t make me look like a girl. To be honest, I was also rather enthusiastic.

“Are you done getting ready, then?”
“Yeah, I think it’s perfect.”

We planned to go to the amusement park. It was fall, so it was somewhat chilly, but… it should work out. I also had enough money. Even if I treated Mika, it should be enough.
I have everything else I need, too! I’ll be fine!

“Shall we go, then?”
“Yeah!”

We nodded at each other… and went to leave the house. I hurriedly went from my room on the second floor to the front door.

On the way…

“To see you this dressed up…”
“M-Mom…!”
“Keep at it! Hang on, that’s a weird thing to say on that occasion, isn’t it? Enjoy yourself!”
“I will!”

While replying to Mom, I put on my best pair of shoes, opened the front door, and rushed outside. The same moment, I heard the sound of something opening. Mika apparently left her home the same moment I did.

“…Y-You do look good today, after all! Eh-heh-heh, somehow it feels different from usual…!”
“You too, Mika, you’re different from normal… cuter… no, that’s really not enough to describe it…”

After taking in her whole appearance once more, there was a big difference, after all. She was more than just cute, that was the only way I could put it.

“Th-Thank you… mh!”

She rushed to my side, hugged my arm, and kissed me on my cheek. It probably wasn’t my imagination that the number of both envious and cordial gazes leveled on us rose by a ton.

“Then, once more… let’s go!”
“Let’s!”

I held out my hand to her. She took it. Then, she gripped it tightly.

…Are we this affectionate since we reunited in Anazumu… or would we have ended up like this too, if we started dating on Earth? Probably the latter.

TL notes:
I hope you like reading about dates. The next 14 (!) chapters will be about the three couples enjoying their time on said dates. Now, I still haven’t had the time to read ahead, so there is a faint hope of these chapters containing something meaningful rather than the usual nonstop flirting, but I won’t be holding my breath. We’ll see, I guess.
