“Alright!” The three men readied their swords and stepped in front of Lilo to protect her.

Then, once again: “Fire Emission!!”

She cast three Emissions at the biggest size she was likely capable of. In a flash, the fire beams going in a straight line brought down the Wood Golem, severely injured the two Mud Hands, and managed to wound the Child Dragon. She wavered due to using too much MP, but Myuri and Karua went to support her.

“Raaaaaah!”

Not even a moment later, the three swordsmen charged at their foes.

Tuhl went after the most wounded Mud Hand. Ruin clad his sword in light and attacked the second Mud Hand. Orgo wrapped his weapon in an earth aura and targeted the Child Dragon.

They each slashed at their targets. They swung their swords again and again. Within a few seconds, the D-Rank magic beast group was decimated. Only some materials that might be usable and the magic cores remained.

“Woo-hoo~!” Lilo cheered.

Tuhl, Ruin, and Orgo each sheathed their swords before returning to us with expressions of relief.

“Well… we made it,” Orgo mused.
“We did. Until now, when we subjugated multiple enemies, we had to split them up into groups of two at most before we could bring them down,” Ruin recalled.
“Ah-ha-ha… To be honest, this was the first D-Rank magic beast I killed,” Tuhl commented.

They each gave their impressions.

“Then, let’s leave the dungeon for now and take a break,” I cut into their talk.
“”””Wha~~!?””””

The combined voices of several confused people formed something close to a scream. After all, it was that shocking to them. When Shuu had told Rir something along these lines… she had found it suspicious, but, seeing she adored him even back then, had likely accepted it obediently.

“Even… even though we made it this far!?”
“Sh-She’s right, y’know? Normally, you take breaks in the dungeon, don’t you?”

Myuri and Orgo asked in bafflement.

“That is true, as far as I am aware, but… you have some sort of plan, do you not, Alim?” Karua guessed.
“Yep, I sure do. Heh-heh-heh… for now, shall we get out of here?”

We went back into the magic room. When we got there, I created the specific rooms as discussed earlier, and, after showing everyone where theirs would be, we all gathered in a wide section resembling a living room.

“So… what will we do from now on?” Ruin asked.
“Erm, first we should talk about point allocation… but before that, Miss Lilo.”
“Hm? What is it?” She looked confused when I called her name.
“As a matter of fact, if you hit them in the right place, you can take out a D-Rank magic beast with a single Emission spell, you see. I think your dexterity might be the issue.”

For example, if you rammed it into its brain like… oops, I can’t use that kind of language with a girl. If you were to imagine your spell piercing your target’s cranium, you should be able to defeat it.

“Ah-ha-ha… well, you’re not wrong. So, you think I should also increase my dexterity a bit?”
“No, at this point that won’t be necessary.”

Myuri also nodded in agreement.
In that case, I won’t hold back.

“Alright, then, this time, please use half of your STP for MP, and split up what remains equally into spellpower, quickness, and dexterity.
“U-Understood.”

Lilo closed her eyes. It looked like she was allocating her stat points.

“I went up another level. I invested them as you told me. So, what should I do next?”
“Next would be… to use all the magic cores we got earlier to evolve your Fire Magic to the True stage¹. And please raise that skill to the first level.”
“Huh… hang on, what about the others’ share…?”
“I’ll get to that.”
“A-Alright.”

It looked like she did what I had asked her to.
Great, it’s starting to look more and more like when I first started out…!

Likely since she had gotten her hands on high level magic, she looked a bit happy.

Next, I talked with everyone about the fights earlier. Plus, that they shouldn’t allocate any stats for some time and that the next magic cores they obtained would be for Myuri. Tuhl meticulously wrote down what I spoke about.

“Hrm… so, what will we do now?” Ruin asked. “I’m not sure what your plan is, but for the time being, I believe there’s meaning behind it, and we will follow your training regimen, Alim, but… while our HP is full, Myuri and Lilo probably don’t have enough MP left.”
“Ah-ha-ha, then let’s take a nap first! Although eating would also work. It’s still a bit early, so let’s nap for about an hour before having lunch!” I suggested.

Likely since people from this world had sufficient knowledge about how automatic MP restoration worked, they all accepted my proposal without any complaints and left for their rooms.

1. I’m pretty sure none of the standard spells ever cost magic cores to evolve before. Or at least it was never mentioned.
