“Welcome back. How was it?” Mika asked me, after I had come back out.
“Well, it’s not good for doing it repeatedly. I think another dungeon would be better for you, Rir.”
“Woof, understood.”

Following that, I told them my plans of clearing the dungeon at some point. When you cleared a dungeon, all the people present would gain a title, so I was thinking of also inviting Rose, Karua, and so on, when we went to clear it. For that reason, it would be some time until we did that.

“I ain’t got no clue when it comes to dungeons, so I think we should follow Alim’s lead here.”
“I think so, too. Well, if there are any issues, don’t hesitate to tell us.”

The two boys on your team agreed.

Hm, I might do that in the future. Also… we should talk about our plans.

“Then, about what we do from now on; Five days from now, Mika and I will help Karua and the others level up… or rather, train them, so we won’t be able to level together with Rir. It might be a good idea if you all used that time to level up.”
“Woof.”

Rir and Shuu nodded.

“And, though that’s just my own opinion, I think it would be best if you level up together with Rir. So you can max out your stats other than HP and MP like Mika and I did.”
“I thought so, too. Rir, will you let us do that?”

Kanata seemed on board with my suggestion and turned to Rir. She gave a vigorous nod in reply.

“Good… in that case, I’ll leave the Jizou statue in your care.”
“Huh? Why do that?” Shuu wondered.
“Well, as a matter of fact-”

A while back, during our shopping spree, I had added an experience multiplier function that I got by coincidence. I explained how it worked, and my plans to have them use it. I had already made it so everyone could access it. They could activate it by paying two Reincarnation points.

“Huh… so it’s like that. We’ll use that, then. Shuu would probably be the most suited to take care of the statue,” Kanata proposed.
“Sure,” Shuu agreed.

He carefully took the Jizou statue from me and immediately stored it away in his magic bag.

“As for the dungeons, as long as you don’t clear them, you can use them however you want… Oh, we’ll be using the “Joy” dungeon in the Tria Erial Mountains, so don’t pick that one.”

In my opinion, this was the simplest type of dungeon. Either way, I didn’t expect there to be a dungeon in those mountains. The ore-veins had been exhausted almost completely, and every nook and cranny of the area should’ve been explored1.

“Then… five days from now, we’ll go level up, and you’ll leave for your training with the royals?” Kanata tried to confirm.
“That’s right. There’s nothing left to do, so should we go home?”

For the sake of managing the five dungeons, we had left items that made them invisible to other people, installed devices that checked for permission at the entrance, and furnished them with machines that would automatically intercept magic beasts. The three dungeons we didn’t use should be fine thanks to that.

In our mansion.

I was pondering what to do for those five days, when Mika came to me. On that note, it was currently just her and me in the room. The other four had locked themselves away in their respective rooms.

“Hey, what will you do about the training program? You still haven’t told me any details.”
“Oh, you’re right. I’ll tell you my plan, then.”

In the end, said plan emphasized running the dungeon again, and again, and again. And while doing that, I would explain techniques to level up, something that didn’t exist in this world, so I was thinking of leaving a record. Finally, the participants in the training this time would be Karua, Ruin, Orgo, Lilo, Myuri, and Tuhl, but, other than in critical situations, my plan was just to teach them and observe from the sidelines.

“Ok… Then you won’t defeat any magic beasts, Ayumu?”
“Yep. It’s supposed to be training, after all. It would be way too easy if I helped them, right? They don’t need to grow stronger just stat-wise, but also mentally.”
“Yeah, you got a point. But didn’t you do practically everything when we leveled?”

Yes, that was true. Still.

“Back then, I was leveling up too, and, most of all, the idea this time is to have people from this world level up by themselves without any help. Though things like Rir fighting at Shuu’s side work, too.”
“What about the four members of Seinforce?”
“They are used to battle. But from the one time I saw them fight, they still have a long way to go… though this might sound snobbish. Besides, there’s also Karua. From what she told us, she’s still level 1.”

Well, at under 15 years, this was probably normal. From that perspective, I was incredible… or rather, abnormal.

“Gotcha~. You actually put some thought into this, didn’t you?”
“Of course I did.”
“…Seeing that, you might do well as a father…” Mika commented with a grin.

Hearing her say that… I couldn’t help but feel a bit bashful.

Footnotes:

  1. I remember Samaeyl mentioning she found the (real) Hero’s Sword in those mountains, so maybe a new dungeon spawned for that? Or the kingdom simply camouflaged the dungeon after taking control of it.
