“Please come in, Alim, Mika!”

Karua welcomed us with a smile. It was the day before the planned start of the training. We were going to have a sleepover in advance, so just Mika and I had come to the castle. Shuu and the others were in the mansion, preparing for leveling up from tomorrow on.

“Heh-heh-heh, tomorrow will finally be the promised day~,” I exclaimed. “We have lots to discuss today.”
“Of course!” Karua replied with another radiant smile.

Is she that happy about it…? Well, that makes me glad, too!

“Then, I shall give you some details about the training!”

In the room where I had told them previously that I wasn’t an inhabitant of this world, the four members of Seinforce, Karua, Tuhl, and finally the king and the other parents had gathered. For the time being, I continued talking.

“Let’s see, first things first, before we get to the training itself, there are some things to prepare, but… that doesn’t go for everyone! If anything, Ruin and the others from Seinforce should be fine if they get ready like they would for work. Oh, I’ll also… need someone to make a record!”

They all seemed confused by that request.

“Why would you need someone to take notes?” the king asked.
“Well, you might call the training we’ll be doing my personal secret method… In any case, it’s a method that… probably… doesn’t exist in this world. Because of that, if someone made a record of it, you could still use it even hundreds of years from now, at least that’s my thinking.”

Gah, that was an awful way to put it… For stuff like this, you’d need someone reliable like Kanata.

“…Hrm then, what about this method?”
“Ah-ha-ha… I’m not going into detail yet, but… even if willpower and determination is all you’re starting from… well, you should manage to become an SSS-Ranker within three to five days.”
“…WHAT!?”

The king, a former SSS-Ranker, raised his voice in bafflement. The others also looked shocked. They didn’t believe my sudden claim. It couldn’t be helped, that was how crazy it sounded.

Among all the perplexed faces, the knight commander spoke up.

“…The fastest to reach SSS-Rank at the current point is Alim. After all, she ended up becoming one in less than seven months1. She certainly showed us glimpses of her power well before that… so if she had that strength even before becoming SSS-Rank, her words would be true.”

Wow, that was beautifully summarized!

On that note, the fastest SSS-Ranker before I’d come along had been Gilmars at two and a half years. Next were Uruto and Parasuna, who took three years. It looked like the elite had gathered in this country even before I arrived, seeing how other SSS-Rankers took at least six years. On first glance, three years… or even six years… might seem fairly short, but it was normal for people to take more than 12 years to reach A-Rank.

“Oh, I’ll take that duty, then,” Tuhl said, as he raised his hand.

…I see, he does have the amazing power of seeing other people’s status screens.

All those from great royal bloodlines like Mephilad had such powers. The late king of the country that asked… or rather, demanded help from Kanata and the others, also held such powers, if I remember correctly. Although he had been the last member of his family, so it ceased to exist2.

Next there was Mephilad… and finally the lineage of one other country. Children born from these three families possessed special powers.

“Then… could I ask you to do that? Oh, also, what weapons would you like to use, Mr. Tuhl, Karua?”
“I’ll go with a sword.”
“I-I am the same! Seeing my Swordsmanship skill has already reached level five.”
“Huh…!!”

Wh-What did she just say? I had no idea…
Well, I knew that the knight commander taught her the sword for self-defense, but to think she had come that far. I guess there are lots of things we never told each other.

“Alright… swords it is. I will prepare the equipment for you.”
“…Please do,” Tuhl replied.

After that, although I had talked about it before, I told them which dungeon we’d mainly be using, and such stuff.

“…That should do for now. Well, Alim, my apologies for leaving everything to you.”
“Eh-heh-heh, not at all, Your Majesty.”
“In that case, this concludes the strategy meeting. Dismissed.”

When did our talk turn into something as grand as a strategy meeting?

Everyone – especially the adults – returned to their posts after giving me a few words. Ruin and his friends closed in on me.

“We’ll be in your care,” Ruin said.
“We’re counting on you, Alim, Mika!” Lilo added.
“To think there’d come a time when the little girl from back then would teach us…”
“Orgo, have you not said that many times before?” Myuri chided him.

Those four were at what could be called the border between teens and adults.
I wonder, hasn’t the way they act towards each other changed recently…? Could it be that they confessed on the day of the meteor shower?

As I thought about how annoying Shuu was when it came to such things with Mika and me, I noticed Karua peering at my face.

“Please take good care of me, Alim, Mika!”
“Yep, you can count on us.”
“I’ll… entrust everything to Alim,” Mika added.
“Will you be sleeping in my room tonight?” Karua asked.
“”Of course!””

Footnotes:

  1. It was only 65 days after coming to Anazumu that Alim became SSS-Rank, which would be less than three months. Maybe the author meant to say “less than 70 days” or its another case of not keeping track of time.
  2. I’m sure there are remains of some other members of that lineage that Alim could use to bring someone back, if really needed.
