“Please come in, Alim, Mika!”

Karua welcomed us with a smile. It was the day before the planned start of the training. We were going to have a sleepover in advance, so just Mika and I had come to the castle. Shuu and the others were in the mansion, preparing for leveling up from tomorrow on.

After that, although I had talked about it before, I told them which dungeon we’d mainly be using, and such stuff.

“…That should do for now. Well, Alim, my apologies for leaving everything to you.”

“In that case, this concludes the strategy meeting. Dismissed.”

When did our talk turn into something as grand as a strategy meeting?

Everyone – especially the adults – returned to their posts after giving me a few words. Ruin and his friends closed in on me.

“We’ll be in your care,” Ruin said.
“We’re counting on you, Alim, Mika!” Lilo added.
“To think there’d come a time when the little girl from back then would teach us…”
“Orgo, have you not said that many times before?” Myuri chided him.

Those four were at what could be called the border between teens and adults.
I wonder, hasn’t the way they act towards each other changed recently…? Could it be that they confessed on the day of the meteor shower?

As I thought about how annoying Shuu was when it came to such things with Mika and me, I noticed Karua peering at my face.

“Please take good care of me, Alim, Mika!”
“Yep, you can count on us.”
“I’ll… entrust everything to Alim,” Mika added.
“Will you be sleeping in my room tonight?” Karua asked.
“”Of course!””

1. It was only 65 days after coming to Anazumu that Alim became SSS-Rank, which would be less than three months. Maybe the author meant to say “less than 70 days” or its another case of not keeping track of time.
2. I’m sure there are remains of some other members of that lineage that Alim could use to bring someone back, if really needed.
