“Ha… ha-ha… ha-ha-ha. T-This is your home!?”

All four of them seemed shocked, and Shuu was the first to find his words.

After arriving in the Mephilad capital in the blink of an eye, we hid ourselves with Illusion Magic so people wouldn’t notice, and went to Mika’s and my love nest.

…On second thought, wasn’t that pretty much a day trip for us? We got rid of the evil god in a single day. Yep, we did rather well.

Well, more importantly, I was waiting for the impressions my mansion had on our four guests.

“What do you think?”
“It’s… like a prefectural office,” Kanata commented.
“No, it’s not that large,” Sakura added. “But it’s clearly a stately mansion.”

I feel like I understand what they wanted to say… I guess? This was probably how it looked from the outside.

“What happened, for my stingy big b-… sister to buy such a mansion?”
“I just bought the plot, I built the house myself.”
“I see, I should’ve known. That’s a relief.”

Kanata, who’d looked worried at first, seemed to regain some peace of mind when he heard that.
Was I really that much of a penny pincher? Well, even now I’m not spending much money.

“Ah… Ali-nee, is it just you and Big Sis living here?”
“Yes, that’s right.”
“I’m sure it’s fine.”
“Y-Yep.”

I wonder, why would Sakura ask about that? Maybe she thinks the house is way too big for just two people.

“Woof… It’s Alim’s and Mika’s home… woof~.”

Rir looked as if she hadn’t come to terms with reality yet. Maybe she wasn’t used to mansions, or she was nervous about entering our house. Probably a bit of both…

“Well, there are lots of things we want to tell you about this house, but for now let’s go in.”

Everyone nodded at my suggestion, and they started following me. I opened the large iron gate leading to the premises, led us through the neatly arranged garden, which, as far as I knew, had never been maintained, and then through the giant front doors into the overly expansive vestibule.

“…It’s so big.”
“Yep, it’s a magic room, so it’s larger than it looks from the outside.”
“I-I see.”
“Also, almost everything in this house is legend grade. It won’t get dirty or break, so you can go wild, if you want to.”
“…Woah, it’s true.”

Shuu and the others opened their eyes widely, likely since they had confirmed it with appraisal.
Contrasting to the other three, who seemed to be in a trance, Rir had started trembling violently.

“Shuu, there’s something wrong with your girlfriend…”
“Oh, right. She ain’t used to expensive things like normal people are, or rather, she has some kind of phobia.”
“I-I’m not scared. I-I’m just… nervous.”
“As she said.”

I see.
Well, after being brought to a place where everything is legend grade, anyone would be nervous. I mostly filled the place with that stuff since it was convenient that it didn’t get dirty, but there was no real meaning behind it.

“Incidentally, Big Sis. Where did you get all those things from?”
“Isn’t that obvious? I crafted everything.”
“Oh, I see…”

Even the toilet paper, for example, was made so it would never run out.

“Let me give you a tour of the rooms first, then. This way.”

Everyone followed me. After just a few steps, I showed them the first room.

“This here is Mika’s and my room. We’re here most of the time.”
“…Hey, Ayu-… Alim. Is it how it sounds?” Shuu, who hadn’t seen us kiss during the battle, wondered as he looked between Mika and me.

How it sounds… In other words, he’s wondering whether we’re dating. Well, if you heard that two people lived in the same room on a daily basis, it was normal to assume they were in a relationship.

And the truth is exactly like that.

“Yep, it is. I’ll tell you all about it once things have settled down.”
“Oh, I see, I see.”

This brought a smile to the face of our friend, who’d teased Mika and me about our relationship on a regular basis. In the past, I found it annoying, but now it felt nostalgic.

“Get married already!”
“How often did you tell us that?”
“Probably… around 5000 times?”

He kept count, did he…?

“Oh, well. Next, I’ll show you the rooms for the four of you.” I shot them a glance. “Do you prefer four single rooms? Or-”
“”Rooms for two!!”” Sakura and Rir yelled at the same time.
“Rooms for two? So, one room for Kanata and Sakura, and one for Shuu and Rir?”
“Woof. If you would.”
“Well, I heard that Shuu and Rir are in a relationship, but…”

Kanata and Sakura avoided my gaze.

“The two of you?”
“…Eh-heh-heh,” Sakura gave an embarrassed laugh.

Kanata reacted by looking downwards. I couldn’t see his face well, since his long hair (for a boy) hid it, but he was likely blushing. He looked cuter than he had any right to.

“I see, so that’s how it is. It finally happened,” Mika commented with apparent satisfaction.

I completely agreed with her.

TL notes:
This marks the end of Volume 13, the first one with every single chapter happening on the same day.

Volume 14 will mainly focus on the aftermath, with the Yggdrasil crew settling in with Alim and co.

Speakers were very hard to identify in this chapter, so some might be wrong.
