“Mh… huh?”

Right after we had been swallowed by the dazzling light, I had lost consciousness. It felt like some time had passed since then.

“Let me see, where are we?”

I raised my body and looked around. In place of the frozen hellscape, I could see ocean and burned ground.
I see, we must’ve left Ragnarök’s world of the end. Other than that… right, there’s Mika clinging to my feet.

It looked like she was still asleep. Kanata and Sakura lay side by side, holding each other’s hands, they seemed to get along well. Finally, Shuu… he had collapsed, his upper body still naked. Right next to him was Grand Gungnir stabbed into the ground.

“Mika, wake up.”

I peeled her off my feet, picked her up, and kissed her. That was just like usual.

“Mmh…? Eh-heh-heh-heh-heh… huh!? What…” The moment she woke up, Mika surveyed our surroundings. “Did it go back to as it was?”
“Yup, both the island and Shuu.”
“Gotcha…”

After she had checked on Shuu’s appearance, she let out a sigh of relief.

“We should wake Sakura and Kanata,” she commented, so we both went to them.

From how it looked, none of us other than Shuu had been injured. Mika brought her hand to Sakura’s ear and whispered something to wake her up.

“(Kanata is calling for you…)”
“…Wha-!? Kanata!? Where is he?”

Sakura shot up with incredible vigor. Mika gave a mischievous grin at that. When Sakura surveyed her surroundings the exact same way Mika had done, she seemed to notice Kanata next to her and went to wake him up.

“Kanata, come on, wake up already!”
“Mmh…? It’s still… only noon.”
“That’s true, but right now isn’t the time for a nap!”
“Mmh… huh? Aah!? You’re right, what happened to Gungnir? And Shuu?”

Yep, that was probably the normal reaction. The fact no one reacted that way until now… might have been because they weren’t woken up normally. I always gave Mika priority, so it couldn’t be helped.

“Great, we managed to seal the Black God,” Kanata commented as he patted his own nonexistent chest in relief.

Hang on, he never had a chest to begin with, I keep forgetting that since he looks just as much like girl as I do.

“Now… what do we do from here on?” Mika wondered. “Should we heal Shuu, first?”
“Yep… let’s start with that.”

I went to Shuu’s side.

Damn you, Shuu! You caused trouble for everyone… well, from what I heard, it was pretty much just the four of us, but still!

I forced him to drink an Amrita as he lay there.

“*Cough*… *hack*… *hack*… *cough*!”

Alright, he swallowed it properly. He’ll probably wake up in a few minutes.

…In any case, he really has some bulging muscles. It feels like he’s bulked up since I last saw him. Damn… I’ll get muscles like this and then have Mika compliment them!
When I later discussed that with her, she was desperate to stop me.

Also… Shuu’s hair had turned white.
A crew cut with white hair… Well, whatever. I can fix it with an item, so if he wants that, he can just say so¹.

“Big Bro, how’s Shuu’s situation?” Kanata, who’d come to stand next to me unnoticed, asked.
“He’ll probably sleep for a bit longer.”

With this, everything should be over.
When I thought that, a voice called out to us.

All of us, including Mika and Sakura who’d joined us too, turned to where the voice was coming from.

“Huh? Surprised? That’s something I can do! If I‘m not asleep, that is. Don’t worry, I won’t get out of this spear for several hundreds of years.”

Well, that’s how I made the weapon. Nevertheless, Surtr is able to talk, even when he’s sealed… that’s amazing.

“Surtr…!” Kanata intensely glared at Grand Gungnir.
“Oops, sorry, this won’t take long,” the Black God started explaining, seemingly in a fluster. “The seal is just too strong. That said, give ME a little, just a little, of your time, will you?”
“…You… you killed Rir and Loukis… The king was one thing, but Rir…” Kanata intensified his glare.

Surtr gave a sigh and then continued speaking in a tone not much different from before he was sealed.

“You can bring this guy’s girlfriend back to life. You have Amritas, don’t you? If you use those, everything will work out… I mean, wasn’t that fool king the worst? Well, he was stupid enough to get taken advantage of by ME. You can’t bring that moron back to life. Everything, everything has been burned to ash… even before MY seal broke².”

…For what reason?
Everything was turned to ash, same as the way the king was killed? It sounds like he did horrible things to Kanata, Sakura, Shuu, and Rir, so I wouldn’t bring him back to life, even if they asked me to.

I should try to ask for more details.

“Why did you do that?”
“Hm? Well, that nitwit was MY primary target. Or rather, I should say… his lineage.”

1. It’s weird the Amrita didn’t restore his hair color. It’s supposed to restore the whole body to its proper form.
2. I guess Dace did that, since I doubt Surtr can move and cast spells without a host. That also means Amritas don’t work with ash. It’s honestly surprising these things have some actual limitations.
