“Sakura, what is that?” I asked her, since she acted as if she knew something.
“Ah, that’s Shuu’s magic… It’s a kind of spell that can wipe out thousands of people in one shot…”

Shuu… so, he did learn such magic…
It really looks like there’s 13 suns in the sky, this probably is a highly powerful spell. I guess he farmed a dungeon just like we did.

“Erm… Shuu is currently possessed by the Black God, so the latter is shooting off that magic, right?”
“Y-Yeah.”
“Hah… If he shoots that at full power, he might end up destroying a continent… Shuu got fairly strong, didn’t he?”

The Black God launched that spell. In other words, I could create a machine to search for the origin of that magic, which should lead us there.

An instant after I had that thought, 12 of the suns disappeared.

“…Huh?”
“Oh… that was teleportation…!” Sakura explained. “Kanata must’ve moved the suns somewhere.”
“Kanata has also gotten strong,” Mika mused.

Well, even if the suns are gone, it shouldn’t be an issue.

“I found a way to locate Kanata and Shuu, so we should depart soon,” I told them. “Get ready.”
“Understood!”
“H-How will we find them?”
“Watch and see, Sakura. This is my power.”

Though by saying it like that, I ended up putting more pressure on myself… As usual, I instantly made full use of Dark Matter to create a search device. It went without saying that it was legend grade.

“Huh? When did you…?”
“I crafted it just now. Time to push the button.”

The device I had made now located the place of the highest MP and magic power usage in the world at the time the 13 suns had appeared. It instantly found a match. I wasn’t sure, but it seemed to be an uninhabited island.

I had also given the device a navigation function. So…

“Alright, let’s go, then!”
“Are we good to leave already?”
“Yep! Uhm… We need to tell someone that we’re off… that old man from earlier should work.”

When I called out to the elderly gentleman through the door, he opened it and then, both politely and speedily, entered the room.

“Do you have need of me?”
“Yes, from now on, we shall leave to stop the Black God. Could you inform the others about where Mika, Sakura, and I have gone? Including those on the other side.”
“I shall do as you ask, Lady Alim,” he gentlemanly bowed his head.

I turned back to the Magarigi sisters and called out to them.

“Let’s go, then. We can leave through the window, right?”
“Yeah, that should work.”
“Huh, through the window…?”

I made a display of snapping my fingers, though the gesture didn’t have any meaning. That instant, a vehicle looking like an airplane seating three people appeared close to the window. While it used a different principle to stay airborne, it looked like a plane.

“Huh~!? Ayu-nii, did you summon that with magic?”
“No, I used something else. I’ll tell you everything about it once this mess is over,” I explained as I jumped from the window onto the plane. “For the time being, get on board!”

Mika followed behind me, pulling along Sakura by her hand.

“We’re off, then.”
“Where will you-… please be careful,” the old man told us and bowed his head once more.

I only saw it for an instant behind us.

“Then, let’s depart,” I announced to the sisters who followed me into the vehicle, which was more spacious than it looked from the outside, and then pressed the one and only button the machine had.

Just by pressing it, the large plane would fly us automatically to its destination. Without even a moment’s delay, the vehicle departed.

Going back in time for a bit.
One boy and one evil god found themselves on an uninhabited island, not far from Yggdrasil, country of the holy tree.

“Oh-ho… So, this is where ME and you will fight…?”
“You got it.”

The two of them stood at a distance where conversation was just barely possible.

Kanata, anxious about when the fight would start, stared at the Black God. It was a battle he absolutely couldn’t lose. Sakura was front and center in his thoughts.

“Those trees and mountains… they’re in the way, right?” the Black God suddenly commented with a grin.
“Huh?”

While the uninhabited island certainly was rather small, it did have mountains and vegetation.

“Let ME level the ground!”

As soon as Surtr said that, a giant red magic circle covered the whole island. Weaved together with Shuu’s magic power, Kanata could feel unpleasant magic, which he had never felt before, from said circle.

“Gah-ha-ha-ha!”

When Surtr gave a short laugh, the magic circle erupted in a sky-high fire pillar. Supposing he’d invoked a magic circle of the same scale and radius in a city, it was easy to imagine it leveling the whole place.

Kanata avoided the blast and the scorching winds by using his Stýra Rúm skill the instant the attack went off. Dirt and sand were blown up, making it hard to see.

“Hah, this is awesome!” Surtr cheered.

Once the small airborne particles settled, visibility improved again. What could be seen was devastation. The island, which previously teemed with life, had become barren and the ground was burned.

“Great, that should do it. Then… let’s get to it!!”

TL notes:
As usual, Alim’s Item Master is completely broken in what it can do. Instantly make an airplane with a built-in autopilot that can seamlessly interface with whatever other gadget he just made? No problem.

Also, this chapter is mislabeled as chapter 371 on Syosetsu (though it is in the right position thankfully). Mostly mentioning this in case someone wants to check the raws and wonders why there’s no chapter 361.
