“Big Sis…”
“Sakura…!”

The two girls spoke while embracing each other. They always had been close, ever since they were little.

“…Big Sis, it really is you?”
“That’s right, you see? Though my hair is green, my eyes blue, and my height and the size of my chest have been reduced to how they were when I was in middle school.”
“I see… huh! Then, could it be that Alim over there is…”

Still hugging her sister, Sakura turned her head my way. I lieu of a reply, I simply waved at her with a smile.

“Ayu-nii…!?”
“Yep, that’s me!”

In her surprise, she opened her already wide eyes even more.

“Ayu… Ayu-nii…? That can’t be true! Although Ayu-nii had the face and atmosphere of a girl and often wore female clothes, I am positive that he was listed as ‘male’ in the family register…”

Maybe since she had calmed down a bit after hugging Mika and crying, Sakura didn’t react that surprised.

Well, back then, I was always together with Mika, so it’s unavoidable for her to think of us as a set. At any rate that “family register” comment was unnecessary, if you ask me. As I am now, I would be listed as female even in the family register, but I used to be a proper boy back on Earth.

…At least I’m pretty sure.

Whenever I took a walk together with Mika, people would try to hit on the both of us… during the school trip I was the only one who had to use an individual bathroom… and I was often forced to wear girl clothes at home… but I was male… I must’ve been.

I’ve been Alim ever since coming to this world, so I might lose even more of myself. Well, all I’ve done is because I wanted to, so it’s fine.

“I’ve heard stories of some ‘incredibly beautiful girl with red hair’… So, Ayu-nii… are you a girl now?”
“I sure am. Well, I’ll tell you the details some other time.”

Indeed, there was an evil god on the loose right now. Celebrating our reunion had to come later.

“Oh… you’re right! C-Currently, things have gotten rather bad! Kanata and Shuu are… erm… there’s a lot I have to tell you… but for now I’ll limit it to what happened earlier.”

Sakura likely would’ve preferred to be indulged more by her sister and ask us how we ended up here, but she judged that this was more important. As expected of the girl who started studying like crazy just before entering middle school.

“True enough. What are Kanata and that idiot Shuu doing right now?” Mika asked.
“Where to start-”

Sakura told us what happened. The events that led to the Black God’s appearance.

The king of this country had apparently summoned them to oppose the Black God, once it showed itself. Various events took place, and on the day before the supposed resurrection of the evil god – in other words today – they had received a summons to gather at the castle, but at that time, Kanata, who had his suspicions about the king from the beginning, bombarded the latter with questions.

Thanks to that, they learned the king had been planning to use the evil god for some nefarious purpose. However, another person involved in this plan had then brought out a strange sword and destroyed that spear, in which the evil god had been sealed, bringing it back to life.

“Then, the Black God possessed Mr. Loukis… the king.”
“Hrm, so…?
“What happened then?”

Sakura continued her account. The sealing spear had been destroyed, but a girl called Rir, who seemed to be Shuu’s companion, managed to seal the evil god’s movements with magic and Sakura repaired the spear with her magic, but the moment they brought back the fixed spear, Rir was killed, the evil god escaped from his restraints, and then-

“The Black God possessed Shuu, so Kanata is now fighting him somewhere by himself to separate him from Shuu…¹”

Sakura looked awfully frustrated.

Well, Kanata might manage to pull that off. She said he can use teleportation, right? Seriously, I keep getting shocked by how all-powerful the skills in this world are, but if Kanata can use something like that, then it’s only natural for him to try to keep Sakura out of harm’s way.

Anyhow, like me having feelings for Mika, looks like it’s the same for my brother and Sakura. It sounded like she was trying to hide it, but I noticed.

Still, Sakura didn’t know where they went… I could probably find it easily enough by using some tool, but… would that be fast enough?
I’m worried. We need to find the place on the double.

“I get the gist of it. We can talk about all the other stuff later, let’s head there for now… You didn’t ask Kanata where he was planning to go, right?”

Sakura shook her head. She was at a loss…

“Can’t you contact him via message?”
“No, it looks like he turned them off from his side².”

Then… that leaves no other option except for crafting a tool that picks up large amounts of magic power.

“…Let’s leave already, then. I should manage somehow.”
“A-Are you sure?”
“Absolutely. At any rate, I am Alim, Anazumu’s top idol!”
“That doesn’t have anything to do with this!” Mika quipped.

That moment, there suddenly was an unnatural light shining through the window. It was impossibly bright.

“W-What is this?”
“I-I don’t know.”
“Ah… could it be…”

Sakura, who seemed to know something, went to the window and looked outside. We followed her and did the same.

There were 13 suns in the sky.

Sounds like Surtr is having fun with Shuu’s skills.

With everyone being caught up and Surtr being nice enough to provide a location marker, it might finally be time for Alim and Mika to join the fight.

Sakura calls Ayumu あゆむ兄 (“Big Brother Ayumu”, “Ayumu-nii”) in this chapter. Since she later mostly uses “Ayu-nii”, I decided to keep to that version for consistency.

1. Did we really need another recap? For how concise Japanese can be, they sure use redundancy in the weirdest of places.
2. The original is 向こうからシャットアウトしてるみたい (“looks like did shutout from other side”). So, it’s also possible he is specifically blocking Sakura’s messages.
