“…Oh, erm… thank you very much for coming here and… and… huh?”

Sakura, who’d had her eyes cast down up to this point, raised her head with a forced smile and came our way.

It’s Sakura…! I haven’t seen her in so long!
Who could’ve imagined her being summoned to this world!

She looked at us in surprise.
Oh, did she notice I’m Ayumu…? Or did she recognize her older sister, Mika?

On that note, Mika’s eyes had started to tear up and she was still holding my hand tightly.

“Uhm… I’ve seen you often on posters…!

Huh, so it’s like that…

This also made Mika switch to a sullen expression.
Well, the color of our hair and eyes, our ages… and for me even the gender, are different, so it was unavoidable, right?

…At any rate, why isn’t Sakura wearing her glasses? Perhaps my prediction was spot on, and they found a way to restore her eyesight. If so, that’s wonderful… I don’t know what else to say.

“E-Erm… could it be that you are almost the same age as I…?”
“It’s fine. We should be around two years younger than you, but, even if we might not look it, we are SSS-Rankers,” Mika explained, still wearing a grumpy expression. “We shall demonstrate that we can do more than even hundreds of adventurers from this region.”

Without a doubt, Mika deliberately said it in a manner that wouldn’t give Sakura much information, so the latter would notice something. Well, if she had given her name first, Sakura likely would’ve realized. That said, her speaking so politely was a bit scary.

I wonder, did she expect her sister to notice immediately? Also, didn’t Sakura assume that we had gotten information about them in advance?

“Erm, at any rate, thank you so much!”
“It’s fine… So, what might be your name?”

Mika cared a lot about her younger sister. She seemed somewhat shocked that she hadn’t been recognized. It looked like she now switched to the method of using names.

So I was told.

“My name is Sakura. I was made one of the sages of this country… Erm, my apologies, I only have little information about you, though I know you are famous…”
“Nah, it’s fine. It feels kinda fresh, y’know, to think there’s still people out there who don’t know us. …I’m Alim Nariwei,” I told her, dropping my usual tomboyish way of talking for the rougher speech I had used in Japan.

I wonder, does she remember hearing the name “Alim”?

“Alim… Alim… where did I…?” she mumbled.

Well, I’ve always used it as my username in games, so Sakura should know it.

“Anyway, that’s me.”
“Ali-… oh, of course.”

I dragged out Mika, who had hidden behind my back unnoticed, so she could introduce herself to her younger sister.

“…I… I-I am…!”

While she had been sullen earlier, it looked like her emotions had gotten the better of her and she was close to tears. Still, she fought them back and introduced herself.

“My name is… Mika Magarigi…!” she declared.
“I see. Nice to… meet… you? Uhm, could you say that name again?”
“It’s Mika Magarigi… Nice to meet you, too.”

While introducing herself for the second time, Mika took a large step forward.
Oh… both Mika and Sakura are the same height…! Originally, there should have been around a seven-centimeter difference.

“Huh… your name is Mika Magarigi… uhm, is that true?”
“What would I gain by lying about my name?”
“Eh… excuse… me? Huh… erm… c-c-c-c-could it be… t-that…”

Likely since she had been bewildered by something earlier and due to all those things piling up, Sakura started stammering like a broken radio.

“It’s… it’s true… I also… know the name Sakura… very… very well, but… *sob*… *sniffle*… that’s… because… Aaah… Sakura~~…”

Mika finally lost her fight against the tears.

It was the same back then with me, wasn’t it…? I might get caught up in that mood… As a matter of fact, I’ve already secretly shed a few tears.

“S-Sis… Big Sis!? It is you, right, Big Sis…!!”

Finally… she finally had noticed…

*Sniffle*

When Sakura finally realized the truth, the tears started to flow like a deluge from her still wide-open eyes.

“Yeah…! It’s me! Your’ older sister! Oh, Sakura!”
“Waaaaaaaah!!! Sis… Sis, Big Sis… aaaaah!”
“Sakura~~~!”

I guess the two of them flew into each other’s arms, with their tears flowing like a waterfall, since they were so happy to meet again. In the end, they both resemble each other, even in the way they cry.

Not good… I need to wipe off my own tears. I can’t see what’s in front of me.
Eh-heh-heh…

TL notes:
That took more effort than expected to make Sakura notice. It’s curious she never learned Alim and Mika’s names, even though their posters are apparently all over Yggdrasil and the sages didn’t have anything to do for the past two weeks. With none of the usual entertainment except for board games available in Anazumu, you’d expect them to buy at least some of the magazines featuring them out of boredom.
