Lullus suddenly spoke to me, as we were sitting quietly in an empty inn, “By the way, Master Finis, you’re trying to blend in with the human world, right?”
“That’s right. Despite how I look now, I was originally a human. So I’m quite good at blending in.”
“I can confirm. Just by looking at you, I’d never be able to figure out you weren’t human, Master Finis.”

I couldn’t help but wonder what made Lullus ask that. Maybe I’d played with her ears too much, causing her to get angry. I was left wondering whether I’d done something odd for her to be pointing something like that out.

“Let me rephrase my questions. Is it correct to say that you don’t want to stand out, Master Finis?”
“Of course.”
“Then I think you should behave more like a woman.”
“Why do you say that? Do I act odd in some way?”

I looked like a young woman, wore women’s clothing, and spoke in a polite manner, so I didn’t think I missed any cues.

In this world, speech patterns were automatically translated to match the speaker’s gender, though the actual differences between them were minimal. I felt that the most distinguishing feature between a man and a woman was the softness of their tone.

However, that didn’t seem to be the case, as Lullus merely pointed to my legs. Following her gaze, to my surprise, I saw that I was sitting on the bed cross-legged. I had done so completely unconsciously.

“Women do not sit like that.” Lullus pointed out.
“So you were talking about how I carry myself… Still, I’m an adventurer, you know? Wouldn’t a bit of crudeness suit my character better?”
“Normally, yes. But in your case, Master Finis, you don’t look like a normal person. I believe it’d be better for you to act more feminine.”
“That’s…”

I responded, barely masking my irritation, but Lullus just shook her head, exasperated. It was starting to feel like Lullus was becoming my teacher. She almost resembled a class president. Just like Ichinari and Tsukihara.

However, it was even worse because those two had never gone to such lengths to try and correct me.

Lullus let out a loud sigh, perhaps to express her growing dismay, then continued with a serious tone. “Of course, I won’t force you. But given that you can change your appearance, Master Finis, I believe it would be beneficial for you to learn the proper ways to behave regardless of what age or gender you take.”

“And you want me to start with acting more feminine?”

“Yes. If you maintain a refined appearance and manners, Master Finis, you might even connect with the upper class. You seem like you’d want to incorporate more than just forcing your way with brute force, so I believe the more skills you have, the better.”
“You have a point. I guess I’ll practice for a bit. Please teach me everything you know.”
“Understood. We’ll also adjust the way you speak. While it’s not as noticeable as your gestures, certain parts still come across as rather masculine.”
“Okay. I’m in your hands!”

To my surprise, Lullus’ ladies’ lesson only took about an hour. It was impressive given that she’d learned all this just by hearing about them.

The All Powerful skill also came in handy. Thanks to it, I managed to pick up most of the intricacies in just a few tries. I felt confident I could pull off a refined, feminine act now.

“Demigods really do learn at different speeds.” Lullus remarked.
“Rather, I’m surprised that you know so much about this Lullus, given that you’ve only heard it from word of mouth.”
“I just had way too many chances to hear about it. But come to think of it, Master Finis, when you first introduced yourself in that awkward manner, you were speaking and moving in a reasonably feminine manner.”
“It wasn’t awkward. I was seriously putting a lot of thought behind it.”
“You really do think in strange ways, Master Finis.”

Well, that was a given; I was trying to make an impact back then. Though it was likely that no one from this world would get it. I wasn’t even sure if the people from Earth would get it.

“By the way, what are your plans for this town, Master Finis?”
“I wonder. I’m thinking of working as an adventurer for a while and gathering information. Is there something you’d like to do, Lullus?”
“No, nothing in particular.”
“How is adjusting the world going?”
“I’m working on it as we speak. It’s going fine.”

I wasn’t surprised by her answer, as she’d already told me that it was a natural process. Regardless, I didn’t want to do anything else today, so I decided to act starting tomorrow.

It was already evening, and if I went to the Collegium now, they probably wouldn’t let me take a request anyway. And because of my youthful appearance, people would always tell me to put off taking requests.

It had been the same when I’d first tried working in that border town in Fraus. Although it was somewhat useful looking like a child, it more often than not proved to be quite inconvenient.

Looking like a child was generally more annoying, both here and on Earth.

“I know I was the one who put you up to this, but are you really okay with acting more feminine, Master Finis?”
“Of course. I still need to get used to it, but everything is coming along nicely. Besides, if I looked like a man, I wouldn’t be able to play with your ears.”
“You really want to touch my ears that badly?”
“Of course!”

I grinned. One day, I’d definitely get my chance to enjoy that fluffy softness, so I had no trouble with enduring this for that.

After all, reincarnating into another world and even changing genders were scenarios I was quite familiar with. I’d never had a strong urge to change my gender, but I also didn’t have any strong attachment to being a man.

“Come to think of it, Lullus, can you turn into a man?”
“I can’t. This is my standard form. I can adjust small features, like my Elf ears. If needed, I could even turn to look more like a Beastman.”
“I see. That’s some good info right there.”
“Now I really wish that I didn’t tell you about it¹.”

With the new info, I even felt like going to a Beastman town next. I could easily transform into one, and Lullus could create a rabbit’s tail and ears to mimic them. Even if she decided to have them standing up or drooping down, I’d still love them.

Although cats were the standard when it came to these things, I was more of a rabbit fan.

“Master Finis… I can see that you’re having bad thoughts again.”
“You can read my mind, Lullus? Did God give you the Mind Reading skill?”
“No. It’s just written all over your face, Master Finis. You aren’t even trying to hide it, are you?”
“Busted. Though I don’t feel that bothered by it.”
“Your ears are also twitching wildly.”
“My ears?”

I reached up to touch them since Lullus had mentioned them, but they seemed normal. But that was a given, since they’d only moved when I was lost in my mischievous thoughts.

In any case, now I really wanted to grab hold of Lullus’ ears while they were moving!
