Kishana wrote down multiple easy recipes on a piece of paper and gave it to Sareenea.
“There’s still a lot of dried seaweed and miso left, so if you play around with the ingredients, you can get make different types of miso soup.”
“Though I feel like the food prepared by someone else is always tastier than my own.”
“I know that feeling. I like Schenna’s cooking more than my own after all.”
“So you really think that way! The food prepared by that dark elf mistress and the female knight is…how should I put it, it’s warm and filled with familial love.”
Kishana and Sareenea seemed to have found something in common and their conversation was starting to get intense.
Though Schenna also felt that Kishana’s cooking was better than her own.
Whenever Schenna cooked something, she would always do it hoping someone else would enjoy eating it, and she was happy that Sareenea had noticed that. And Schenna was sure that Kishana had thought something similar when she cooked.
“But your own cooking is important as well. I think that cooking and alchemy are almost the same in that you have to get certain ingredients and prepare something new with them. So considering how smart you are, I’m sure you can prepare tasty food too. So do your best without grumbling!”
“Well…if you say all that I have no choice then. Come whenever you want to check my cooking then. I’ll try to improve by hearing others’ feedback on it.”
“I’ll gladly come to do that then.”
That she was starting to feel like trying was one step in the right direction for Schenna.
When they had eaten as much as they wanted, the three of them began cleaning everything up, and then Sareenea took the other two to the room inside.
It was a large room, with a wall covered in bookshelves and collections of multiple volumes.
It almost looked like a library.
“That’s a lot of books. Are they all about alchemy?”
“No, they’re all manga.”
“What?! You mean all of these?!”
“It includes all the stuff I drew since I was small, so all combined make up all of this. I bring my regular customers here to check what they like. Also, all my alchemy books are upstairs, I don’t want to mix them together.”
She used to borrow another flat in the residential area and kept her whole collection there until the underground facility was complete.
The shelves were divided into different sections, manga for children, shonen, shoujo, seinen, josei, and some more obscure ones.
“Is there any manga you want to read?”
“Hmm…do you have any fantasy manga?”
“Of course. There’s many of those in the shonen and seinen sections, feel free to take any you want.”
She was talking just like a librarian.
Sareenea guided Schenna to the bookshelves with the manga she was interested in, and then Kishana also made a request.
Schenna took a random volume from the shelf, it’s title was ‘The Hero’s Solo Fight against the Demon King’.
She started reading it while standing, her mind quickly wandering into the story, taken in by the well-drawn scenery and characters.
