In a gazebo within Castle Seyfert, under the pale light of a beautiful full moon…

“I see…so she decided to change her name and did that…”
“I’m sorry. I was too concerned with the safety of Rouge and the other two Doppelgangers that I wasn’t able to pursue her further.”
“No, I understand. I’m just glad that everyone is safe.”

After Crim told her everything that had happened, Da’at Seyfert gave a comforting response, though her eyes concealed a sorrowful look.

Crim and the rest had momentarily left the event dungeon, as they wanted to bring Rouge and the Doppelgangers somewhere safe, namely, their main base in Castle Seyfert.

On the other hand, the situation with Rouge had prompted everyone to band together and bulldoze through the dungeon and advance at an extremely accelerated pace, but now that their goal had been met, progress had stagnated once again.

All other guilds were retracing their steps to pick up any minor materials and items they had overlooked to get there, but considering the size of the floor, it would take a couple of days to do that.

“If I had to explain it somehow, I’d say that the Da’at Criferd that’s following the Hero is her conscience and morality she abandoned.”
“Hmm… That sounds right.”

Crim agreed with Da’at’s assessment. The druid girl following the Hero Suzaku everywhere had an excessively positive attitude, almost like there was no trace of malice in her.

“But tell me this, Da’at. Why did Da’at Criferd, or rather Belial, act in such a scheming and underhanded manner? I thought both of ye once shared the duty of serving the Red Lion Emperor?”
“That’s…”

The instant Crim asked that, Da’at Seyfert looked oddly panicked.

“Erm…she’s always…how do I put it…had a distaste for extremely girly or maiden-like…or…”
“Ummm..?”

That reply was not something Crim had expected at all, so she looked shocked and confused.

Meanwhile, Da’at Seyfert’s face went beet red as she seemed to struggle to find the right words to explain what she meant. Sadly, she would not be granted enough time to finish.

“Um…umm…sister…”

A tiny voice like a small mouse called to Crim. Hearing that, Crim quickly turned around to see…

“Hm… Ohh, Rouge, looking pretty cute now, huh?”
“Is…is that so? I’ve never worn something like this before…”

It was a young girl nervously gripping the hem of her skirt. It was Rouge, who currently looked roughly like an 8 year old. Her comment reminded Crim that so far, Rouge had only worn a swimsuit, and an almost lascivious dress.

Also, that dress and all the other restraining accessories on Rouge had come together with her when Crim tamed her. Their properties were actually good, mainly focused on enhancing the abilities of tamed monsters, making them unexpectedly useful items.

The only issue was that they couldn’t bring themselves to make Rouge wear items like that. Part of the hesitation came from the fact that using items to forcibly control a tamed monster felt far too harsh a treatment for someone like Rouge.

But more importantly, seeing someone of her appearance being tied up by such items felt borderline illegal. Because of all that, Lua Cheia as a whole had chosen to hide away those items so they would never be used, keeping them in a secure location.

Now, Rouge was wearing a cutesy long skirt maid uniform, adorned with plenty of frills and lace.

Her hair was cut slightly shorter than Crim’s, reaching around her armpits, and her bangs were arranged neatly. Parts on both sides were also tied up with ribbons, into what’s commonly called a two side up hairstyle.

Overall, everything accentuated her cuteness, which coupled with her more introverted nature made her seem quite different from Crim now.

Behind her were the other two Doppelgangers of Lycoris and Hinagiku, who had also shrunk a little compared to the originals, looking like they were about eight years old, and also wore cute maid uniforms.

“Heheh, what do you think? They’re cute, aren’t they?”
“Yes, ’tis a task well done, Freya!”

Freya had been in charge of dressing them up, and she looked rather pleased with her own work. Crim also thought the same, giving her a thumbs up.

After that Da’at Seyfert went to prepare some herbal tea. Then Adonis entered the room with snacks she had prepared, beaming a smile as she was also excited to start teaching her cute trainees.

That prompted them to call Hinagiku and the rest of the guild to gather for a tea party, and by then, no one remembered the sentence Da’at had not finished.

After the fight with Belial, Hinagiku and Lycoris had also tamed their respective Doppelgangers.

They also gave them names, Hina and Lyco. While Rouge seemed to appreciate her human appearance, the other two did not seem as comfortable, and almost out of embarrassment, they turned back into shadow puppets, and then hopped to sit on Rouge’s shoulders.

“…Hngh?!”
“B-Big Sis?!”

Crim could not bear it any longer and she covered her mouth as her legs gave in, and Rouge rushed to her side.

Why are they so damn adorable?

Crim grumbled to herself.

The Doppelganger’s true bodies, which at first had looked like eerie shadows, actually resembled soft plushies when seen more carefully, and the way they quickly wiggled their tiny limbs to communicate was also endearing.

When coupled with Rouge’s breathtaking looks, there was no way they would ever not look adorable.

Everyone watched with warm gazes at the three Doppelgangers, and when Rouge noticed that, she trotted to hide behind a tree, embarrassed from all the attention. After that, everyone had to kindly tell her that there was nothing wrong so she would come back out.

With that, their night carried on with a late tea party under the moonlight.

“…By the way, what are you doing there, sister?”

Crim was holding a cup on one hand, while her other hand was busy writing down notes on a window she had opened. Rouge had also been holding a cup with both her hands, slowly sipping the hot tea, but she got curious about what Crim was doing.

Hina and Lyco were sitting on the table in front of them, and they also tilted their heads in unison, which was incredibly cute to watch, and Crim struggled to stay calm as she replied.

“Remember how everyone helped rescue all of thee? I promised them to fulfill various requests in a stream as a token of gratitude, so I was looking at the best ones… but there be too many of them.”

Crim stared baffled at the stacks on top of stacks of messages she had received on the anonymous message box app Marshmallow.

“Yeah…when they heard they could request something from the Ditzy Lord, they went crazy in the forums, they kept celebrating like it was some festival…”
“I even had to step in and set a time limit for the requests, but they kept coming until the very last second.”
“Eugh…I really have to learn to pick my words more wisely…”

Kasumi and Frey were also helping out, scouring the forums for the requests left there, and Crim’s shoulders slumped in defeat. But a moment later, she rose again and shouted in anger.

“And more importantly, why do so many of them involve me and Freya specifically?!”

She almost wanted to ask who they thought they were, believing they had a right to watch Crim and Freya be all flirty with each other. Some were straight out asking them to kiss, wear wedding dresses, or get into other sketchy positions.

“I don’t mind doing anything in the slightest!”
“Ah, sure…”

She was breathing rapidly and seemed almost excited to do it, which made Crim look away as her cheeks reddened with embarrassment. But that was merely the start of her troubles. She really needed to weed out the requests, otherwise the stream would never end.

“I guess we could start with the ASMR voice recording, since that will take time to prepare. Lycoris, could Ryunosuke maybe write a script for me?”
“Sure, I’ll tell Papa.”

Hearing Lycoris’ response, Crim nodded and happily crossed off one item on her to-do list. That also placed some of the workload on Ryunosuke, who had a lot more experience with things like that.

In the past, making such recordings required a lot of work, involving specialized microphones and other equipment. But now, everything could be done with an NLD. It was a good time for such things, as anyone could start doing that if they wanted.

“Sister…can I also help somehow?”
“Well… Yes, together with Hina and Lyco, just say thanks during the stream, got it?”
“Got it!”

The three Doppelgangers formed a circle holding hands and hopped around chanting, “Together, together…” Just watching that alone made everyone feel like saving them had been worth it.
