Belial swung a thorny whip at Crim, wanting to stop whatever she was trying to do, but she was intercepted by the bullets from Lycoris and her doppelganger, which gave them twice the firepower. And then Hinagiku, also together with her doppelganger, rushed in and cut it as their blades were shrouded in Blue Fire, reducing the whip to ashes.

Both doppelgangers seemed to harbor a deep resentment against Belial, completely shutting down her attempts and making her seem desperate.

“…What do you think you’re doing! You’re nothing but mere defensive systems!”
“I…won’t..!”

Suzaku’s sword had not fully absorbed all of the thorny mark on Rouge’s body, but she was able to brace herself and do her best to resist Belial’s orders, making sweat build up on her forehead in the process.

“Shut up girl, and in case you haven’t noticed, anything you say against me will come right back to you!!”

The young Da’at Criferd’s face poked from behind Lueger’s back and said something, which infuriated Belial even more.

Everyone worked together to hold back Belial while Rouge continued to resist her control.

She was still shooting red blades at everyone around her, while Belial tried to push them away, but Frey and Shao’s fire magic burned it all away, with the support of Lueger, Ernesta, Freya, and Kasumi.

Thanks to the efforts of everyone working together, the area around Crim became safe amidst the chaos, giving her the perfect opportunity.

No time for hesitation.

The impulse to save the girl in front of her was stronger than Crim’s childhood trauma, making her hug the girl tightly once more, and whisper into her ear.

“Sorry, it might hurt a little…but there’s no other choice!”
“Huh… Ah?!”

A moment later, Crim forced her stiff body to move, pushing past the effects of her trauma to push her fangs into Rouge’s neck.

She could feel Rouge’s small body twitch in reaction to the pain. But Crim hugged her more tightly to keep her still, sipping out the mana that sustained Rouge’s body instead of blood, and the curse of Belial along with it.

“Ah…hah…”

While Crim gulped and swallowed continuously, Rouge’s body twitched as well, but eventually, Rouge stopped resisting, almost like she was entrusting herself to Crim.

After a moment, Crim released Rouge’s neck. Following a brief chant, she sank her fangs into her own wrist, allowing the blood that spurted forth to flow over the wound on Rouge’s neck.

That blood went into the wound, turning into concentrated mana to replenish Rouge’s, as hers was about to run out.

“…This is a Hemomancy healing spell, Life Essence. Is that okay?”
“Y-Yes…it’s just…”

Rouge’s whole body had gone weak from losing so much mana, but then her cheeks reddened as she felt like everything became warm from the sudden influx of mana that followed. She was in no state to fight, but she still tried to give a proper reply. Crim nodded with a smile hearing that, and then…

“I see… Then, once more, okay?”
“Huh…ah, wait..?!”

Rouge was not expecting to be bit on the same spot again, so her body jolted when Crim went in. It was almost like Crim was sucking away all the filth left by Belial, overwriting it with her own power.

That repeated for around three times, and by the end of it, Rouge’s eyes looked unfocused and drool dangled from her half open mouth. Her body was also limp, resting fully on Crim.

Her skin that was not covered by her dress looked clean, showing the thorny mark was completely gone.

“…Hm?”

But then, Crim noticed something was off and she raised her head. Somehow, the entire battlefield was dead silent. Both her allies, Belial, and even the two Doppelgangers had stopped everything, watching intently at Crim and Rouge.

“C-Could you be any more shameless than that?! Who does such a thing on a battlefield?!!”

The first one to react again was Belial, who was boiling with anger. Her face was beet red, and she was covering her eyes with her hands, glaring at them through the gaps between her fingers.

Seeing that, Crim grinned smugly at her.

“I don’t quite understand what hath gotten thee in such a state… but I’ve absorbed all of thy curse, and Rouge will no longer heed thy orders.”
“…Urgh.”

Rouge’s body seemed human at first sight, but it had been created through mana. The curse binding her was also attached to that mana, so Crim had reasoned that by switching out Rouge’s mana, the curse’s effects would also thin out, even if it would take a lot of work.

Belial looked genuinely offended as she glared at Rouge and Crim, her face flushed red, and after a moment…

“…I’ll remember this!”
With that cliche line, she teleported away.

Once she was gone, Crim let out a heavy sigh as relief washed over her, and she looked at the girl in her arms.

“Rouge, it’s all over now. Let’s go home.”

Now that Belial was gone, the blindfold on Rouge came loose and Crim could take it off. Then Crim patted Rouge’s back, trying to shake her awake.

Rouge was still trying to catch her breath, and the lack of mana had made her regress to a younger appearance, but at least she opened her eyes, which were drowsy as she slowly looked up at Crim and slowly opened her lips.

“…Yes…Big…Sis~”

She pressed her body against Crim as she spoke with an overly sweet voice. Noticing that, Crim felt her body freeze.

“Ummm…big…sis?”
“Yes… Big Sis!”

Crim could almost see hearts trailing behind those words as Rouge buried her face in Crim’s chest, but Crim felt a cold sweat run down her spine.

Did I accidentally awaken something dangerous within her..?!

She could only scream in her mind…

By the way…all the equipment Rouge was wearing was also transferred to Crim alongside Rouge.
