Lua Cheia successfully drove away the wyvern attack.

“Hmm, my feet don’t feel really steady anymore…”
“Crim, I can’t believe that just happened!”
“Honestly at this rate I won’t even be surprised no matter what you do.”

With the wyverns gone, Crim landed and took a few steps, looking a bit confused about the solid ground beneath her. Meanwhile Haru and Suzaku rejoined the group, praising her performance.
Da’at still kept her distance, glaring intensely at Crim… Knowing her she was probably thinking something along the lines of “She’s stealing Suzaku’s thunder again,” or something like that.

“Well Crim, I think it’s a good time to take a break?”
“Oh…when did it get this late already?”

Frey’s comment made everyone check the time, and Crim raised her voice in shock. The sun had already set in-game, but in real life they had logged in at nine in the morning, and three hours had passed since.
In other words…it was already noon.

“Alright, time to use the Camp Kit then!”
“Yes, we’ll rest right here. Bring it out, Freya.”

Crim agreed with the idea, so Freya brought out an item from her bag and chucked it up into the air.
After separating, it deployed various tents and a lit campfire right in front of them.

The Camp Kit was a paid consumable item, which allowed the creation of a camp within wild areas, bundled with various benefits.
Crim and the rest did not like using paid items like that too often, but they came prepared with a few of them, knowing that their trip could end up being a lengthy one.

Everyone gathered around the campfire and shared some food.
That reminded them again that it was almost lunch time, making them aware of their real bodies’ hunger.

“I’m guessing we’ll all be leaving to get lunch then?”

Crim asked the rest, and Ryunosuke was the first to reply.

“Oh right… I’ll go prepare something right now.”
“Thank you papa, I’ll be looking forward to it.”
“Aww thank you, but are you sure you want to do it?”

Lycoris seemed really happy to hear that, but Sara did not want to trouble her husband too much, so he gave both of them a reassuring nod.

“What kind of man would I be if I didn’t spoil my wife and daughter once in a while? Do you want to join us too, Jade?”
“Yes, of course! I’ll bring the wine then! Should I pick white or red?!”
“Hmm…I’ll probably make seafood, so white better.”
“Sure thing!”

A moment later an AFK symbol appeared in front of Ryunosuke as his avatar fell asleep. Then the same happened to Jade, whose tail wagged happily right until she fell asleep.
That did not mean they were actually asleep, but that their avatars remained in place while their consciousness returned to the real world. If anything, Ryunosuke would be hard at work over there.
Usually going AFK in the wilderness like that was risky, as their avatars would be completely defenseless. But inside a camp there were plenty of protection systems in place to guarantee their safety.
Crim put that to the test, attempting to poke Ryunosuke’s body, only to be stopped by an impregnable barrier coupled with a [Impregnable Territory] notification, showing nothing could touch him.

“Ryunosuke knows how to cook?”
“Yes, he’s especially good at making pasta or grilling meat.”

Frey had not been expecting that, and Lycoris replied, full of pride for her father. A bit further back Crim thought “Somehow that seems so stereotypical for a man…” but decided it was best to keep it to herself.

“Aww, he sounds like a good dad.”
“Mhm…he really is. Thank you, Freya.”

It was uncommon for Sara to blush, but hearing her husband be complimented did it. Soon she and her daughter fell asleep hugging each other too, as they followed Ryunosuke.

“My mother just sent me a message so I’ll be heading out too!”
“I… Well, my parents are out for the day, so I’ll just order something. See you later!”
“Okay, I’ll also leave for now then!”

The next ones to go were Hinagiku, Kasumi, and Setsuna.
At some point Haru and Suzaku had left together with Da’at too…and the only ones left awake around the fire were Crim and the two twins.

“So what are you two going to do? Do you want to come over and eat with me?”
“Ah, won’t that be too much trouble? We’re fine.”
“I’m sure you must be tired too, so we wouldn’t want to impose too much…”

The two tried to politely turn down the offer, but as they had known each other for so long, Crim had already planned for that response.

“Just so you know, I’m making chicken curry for lunch today, and I already finished prepping everything this morning.”
*”And the rice just finished cooking!”*

With Crim’s added information, and Rouge’s call as she monitored the house appliances…the two looked defeated and decided to give in. They could not resist the temptation of curry.

“So you were planning that from the start…”
“Ahahah… Well, I guess we’ll accept the invitation then. We’ll head there right now.”

Saying that, the twins leaned back next to the campfire and fell asleep. The only one left was…

“Say, what will you do?”
*”Huh, me?”*

With a sharp movement and eyes going round in shock…Fia, the fairy girl who had not expected to be addressed like that, and was sitting on Crim’s shoulder together with Rouge, looked at Crim.

“Yes, as we’re all going to be leaving for the time being…”

Rouge would also return to Crim’s home server, so Crim was worried about leaving Fia alone waiting for everyone to return.

*”Hmmm, I guess I’ll go home for a bit and take a nap for a bit? Don’t worry, I promised to guide you, so I’ll definitely be back to hang out when everyone returns.”*

That response eased Crim’s worries.
It was not time to say goodbye to the fairy yet, as Crim had gotten quite attached to the little fairy girl.

“I see… Then we’ll be counting on you again later.”
*”Yuuup, take care until then!!”*

Fia flew away after that, her insect wings leaving a trail of glowing dust. Crim watched her for a bit before closing her eyes, entering an AFK state and returning to the real world.

“”Winter break plans?””

After everyone received their plate of curry and were ready to eat… Subaru’s sudden question made Kou and Hijiri freeze in place, a spoon with curry halfway to their mouths.

“Yeah, it starts next week after all. I figured we could plan a trip somewhere or something like that.”
“I want to go skiing!”
“Hot springs for me!”

After a bit more clarification, Kou and Hijiri immediately knew what they wanted.

“Skiing and hot springs… I feel like we could do both somewhere.”
“I think there’s ski and hot spring places near the mountain shrine where Hinagiku lives, right? Maybe we could ask her about it?”
“Now that you mention it, I think she did say that. Yeah, let’s ask her when she comes back.”

They continued discussing their plans as they enjoyed their curry.

…At this time they were still blissfully unaware of the packed schedule they would have for New Years…something they did not picture even in their wildest dreams

Afterword:
Also Crim might have gotten a bit more used to eating chicken by now.
