When I opened my eyes I was back in the inn room. I was panting heavily. Elenore and Tia were the same as me. They were probably shown the same dream.

“Now you know. My general Bassar helped me become as strong as a God. But because of my own arrogance, I dropped my guard. He found a way to seal my powers and then chained me with those holy shackles. Chains crafted and blessed by the Goddess of light Ariana. He weakened me. Without my full power, even I was useless against them. I suffered badly, but eventually gathered all my remaining strength to break free and escape.”

“Yufi… when did all this happen? How did he manage to seal your powers?”

“It happened 500 years ago in the age of myths. Since then… my name was lost. I escaped roughly 1 week ago. As for how my powers were sealed… I can’t remember.”

I can’t believe what I’m hearing. Elenore and Tia were left speachless as well. For a while, silence floated in the air.

“Onee-chan… I was ready to throw my trust in living creatures away. But then I met you. You were kind to me even though you didn’t know who I was. Even now, you’re not scared of me. But most importantly, you are just like me. I saw your heart. You were betrayed by royalty as well. Onee-chan, I want you to join me. I can tell you are strong, but also want more strength. Walk the path with me. Let’s get stronger together. If I can regain my powers I promise you I will also share it with you.”

“Yufi, it is true that I want power, however… I refuse! I don’t like being ordered around and told what to do. I am my own master. That won’t change.”

“Another thing we have in common. Then how about this? If you don’t want to come with me, then I’ll come with you. I feel like fate brought us together. We both want revenge. How about we help each other? I’ll help you get yours and you help me get mine. We’ll figure the rest out as we go on.”

She’s really fixed on staying with me. I get how she feels. I really do. And after all she’s been through I want to help her. If she’s willing to help me, I don’t see why I would turn her down.

“Okay Yufi. We can do that. If you want to come with us, I’ll let you.”

“Yay!!”

She once again leaped in my arms. I guess she likes snuggling. And to be honest, I also like it. She’s just so adorable. Elenore and Tia giggled behind my back but I didn’t care.

“It’s dark already. Let’s go to bed and we’ll decide what to do tomorrow.”

Easier said than done. Because Yufi was in a child’s body… she sure had the energy of one. So putting her to sleep was a chore. Yufi and Helga slept in one room while me and my party were in another room. All in all this day was interesting.

On the outskirts of the town a woman stood and was analyzing the town. She wasn’t a regular woman. She was a Mazoku. A succubus to be more precise. She had long spikey hair wrapped in a ponytail and mesmerizing ember eyes. A pair of yellow horns came out of her head and were curved straight up. Her clothes were extremely revealing. A black bikini like swimsuit covered her large breasts and her nether regions. She had black fingerless opera like gloves that went all the way to her elbows. She had high heel leather boots that went just above her knees. And of course a tail with a heart tip and a pair of wings. She was leaning against a large scythe.

A Mazoku’s power level was far superior than a human. Above all that, in Astral Storm Online Kaenis was labeled as a raid boss. But in this world, she was a full fledged demon, acting under Bassar’s orders. While Kaenis was staring deeply at the city, a bat approached her. The bat morphed into a grey skin humanoid mazoku. A vampire.

“Lady Kaenis, I have finished scouting. She’s here. Miss Catastrophy is definitely in this town.”

“Fufu! It’s impressive that after all those years she managed to escape. But now her power is mostly depleted so she’s a sitting duck.”

“My lady, pardon my curiosity, but if she truly is harmless, why are you bothering with her?”

“She’s someone that can’t be underestimated. What do you think would happen if we ignore her and she finds a way to get all her powers back? Nono! That simply won’t do. My honey went through a lot of trouble with that b̲i̲t̲c̲h̲. First he used her, made her strong to unify the Demon Realm, and then when he saw that their goals don’t align… she had to disappear.”

“My lady, there’s something you need to know. She found someone… a rather strange human. I couldn’t get close at all… her power was beyond that of a regular Mazoku.”

“A human? Stronger than a Mazoku? Fufu! How amusing. It matters not. After all, I’m not alone.”

Kaenis snapped her fingers. From the forest behind her, various Mazoku appeared and kneeled before her. Unlike the astral monsters, Mazoku were humanoid beings with horns fangs. And her army… all of them were around level 60.

“Bassar told me not to underestimate her. So he gave me these troops. 5000 troops at my command. And this town has such pathetic defense. Our plan is simple. We’ll wipe out the town alongside miss Catastrophy. No prisoners. No survivers.”

Why did Bassar entrust so many troops to her? Because Kaenis was a succubus. She used her charms and body to become Bassar’s lover. Because she stood by his side and always tended to his needs, she quickly gained a great amount of power and respect. But, she still had to obey each and every one of his orders. And that includes taking care of the former queen.

“Let’s go, shall we? It’s time to eradicate this place. The humans won’t even know what hit them.”
