Microsoft taking security so seriously it actually backfires was not on my list of expectations today, but here we are…
According to this email I have, someone is trying to replace the security info on a microsoft account that’s associated with my email.
The problem is… I do not recognise the username of this account from the two letters they provide me with…
So, in order to stop someone stealing what is probably a super old account of mine I have to log in, but I can’t… the obvious solution is to recover my username right?
So I jump through all the hoops and microsoft sends me an email with my username…
“We’ve hidden part of the username(s) for security reasons.”
THATS THE PROBLEM IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!
So my only option now is watch someone steal my account in 30 days…
