After quickly finishing the simple breakfast Nancy made, Jenna, with half a piece of bread in her mouth, immediately stepped on the gas.

The Roland High School that the sisters attend adopts a Western education system, unlike the intense competition Nancy remembers from domestic high schools. Students are required to arrive before 8 a.m. and classes start at 8:30 a.m., without the purely tormenting morning exercises and reading sessions.

Given Jenna’s driving speed, Nancy and her group arrived at an underground parking lot near the school right at 7:40 a.m. Since Jenna doesn’t have a driver’s license, they had to park the car there and then walk to school.

This city always wakes up too early.

The dust from last night had yet to settle, and the streetlights, having just dimmed, seemed to still emit a faint yellow glow, unnoticed by many. Young white-collar workers wrapped in trench coats wait for the shuttle at the curb, as hover cars1 zoom past one after another, carrying the city’s slightly affluent but still hustling middle class. At this hour, the “upper class” is usually not seen. More common are mothers leading their children, company employees running frantically fearing they might be late, uncles on small hoverboards heading out for errands, and other minor characters. Breakfast shops along the street are always overcrowded, with calls and shouts overlapping, thankfully the proprietress has developed a remarkable memory. Where isn’t overcrowded? Drone stations, subways, supermarkets. Various transportation routes cover every corner of the city like a spiderweb. Everyone is bustling, struggling with the life they’ve grown accustomed to, day in and day out.

Observing this bustling city, Nancy momentarily felt a bit dazed.

This place is different from the downtrodden and backward lower district where Nancy was before. Here, in the main urban area of Tianzhou City, a truly developed region, you can feel the breath of the era and technology. Here, you don’t smell decay and conservatism; the fast-paced life and innovative living styles constantly push you forward, yet upon reflection, it can feel somewhat suffocating.

The reason for Nancy’s melancholy was that the atmosphere of Tianzhou City in front of her was all too familiar, making her involuntarily overlap this city with one from her past life.

“This year’s Global Ability Winter Tournament will be held in Tianzhou City in three days, and Smiths Academy has issued an enrollment notice…”

“Shenhuan successfully mastered controlled nuclear technology, and the Coronet Royal Family has made a statement on this…”

“Tianzhou City will launch a new round of ability support programs in two months, which will be conducted in conjunction with the ability practice assessments of various primary and secondary schools…”

In the sky above Tianzhou City, floating holographic projections continuously broadcast recent political and current events.

Nancy, dragging her little sidekick Jenna by the hand, followed by Nina with her head down trailing behind them.

She looked up at the various drones in the sky, and the prominent holographic projection, feeling a gradual calm within.

This is a world completely different from her past life, but life must go on, so she might as well make the best of it.

It’s necessary to mention the overall structure of Tianzhou City here. Tianzhou City is an “floating city” built on the sea after the comprehensive war between the Eastern Shenhuan Empire and the Western Alliance Westlake, according to the “Dragon Capital Treaty”.

Tianzhou is called so because more than two-thirds of its city base is built on a massive airship. This airship, decommissioned of its armaments according to the treaty, was the flagship of Westlake’s first fleet, the “Modoria”. Sixteen artificial islands surround Tianzhou City, with the city cluster on the “Modoria” forming the Tianzhou City district. The sixteen supernatural ability academies, supported by major powers and their affiliated living areas, are distributed across these islands.

The main district where Roland High School is located is on Island No. 6. The place Nancy and the others had hurriedly walked to early in the morning is at the end of the sky bridge connecting to Island No. 6 in Tianzhou City district, which was already crowded with people.

Fortunately, most people here were early-rising office workers and students not from Roland High School, so Nancy and the others easily arrived at the east entrance of Roland High School, where members of the discipline committee were already checking students entering the school.

When Nancy, Jenna, and Nina appeared at the entrance of Roland High School, they immediately attracted the attention of many students. Jenna faced everything with her head held high and chest out, Nina blushed slightly, while Nancy looked indifferent.

Honestly, the original work only briefly mentioned Nancy as a throwaway villainess, but after crossing over, Nancy discovered that the original owner’s appearance was actually quite good, even beautiful! Especially that head of snow-colored long hair, which elevated Nancy’s overall attractiveness even further.

But now it seems… indeed, coming to school bare-faced today was a mistake.

“Damn, is she from our school? When did our school have such a hot girl?”
“Idiot, can’t you see the uniform? She seems to be a senior from our school!”
“I know the one with orange hair, Jenna, right? The ‘Thorn Rose’ of senior year, but those two next to her are…”
“Look at that girl with snow-colored hair! If I could get her WhatsApp2 number, I’d die happy!”
“Stop drooling, man, we’re going to be late!”

……

Nancy, listening to the unabashed conversations of the students nearby, felt a bit nostalgic. Wasn’t it the same when she was in high school? Except, back then, she was just a spectator.

When Nancy and the two others arrived at the school gate for inspection, almost all the boys in line stepped aside, only a few girls stubbornly finished scanning their campus cards and entered the school gate, then looked back at Nancy and the others with scrutinizing eyes.

“Uh… hello, senior, your campus card…” The discipline committee on duty today consisted of sophomores, and the young boy with glasses in front of Nancy, seeing the beautiful girl in a senior uniform, spoke excitedly.

“……” Nancy opted to remain silent as much as possible, took out her campus card, swiped it twice, and pushed Jenna and Nina next to her into the school gate as well.

The young boy sneaked a peek: Class 27 of the second year… Nancy?

Is she a senior from the liberal arts class? Why does this name sound so familiar? Wasn’t it specially announced by the principal a few days ago?

But then the boy became even more puzzled because he noticed that this senior named Nancy, after pushing the two equally attractive girls beside her into the school, did not enter herself.

In fact, after sending those two into the school, the senior actually turned and left directly?3
