The two of them kept running in the pitch-black forest.

More accurately speaking, Kirsten was running agilely between the treetops.

Although Kirsten was really curious, she still listened to Mirabelle and jumped towards the direction the latter pointed at, even though she knew that this wasn’t the way towards their home.

Kirsten and Mirabelle soon returned to their home on the tall mountain. Right when they returned to the mountaintop, Kirsten went inside to look through her luggage. She had properly organized what her parents left behind for her in the luggage before coming here.

Meanwhile, Mirabelle was outside drawing something on the ground with a tree branch. She drew three small pentagrams which formed a large triangle in the soft dirt. She then stood right at the center of the triangle.

Mirabelle injected her mana into the large triangular magic formation and activated it.

‘Okay, everything is ready now.’

Mirabelle only needed Kirsten’s elven ore. If it really was the size of her hand and completely unused, then it wouldn’t be a problem to maintain a barrier for one or even two years.

But, would the two of them still be able to stay here close to the elven town for one to two years?

The answer was obviously no. The two of them wouldn’t possibly stay for so long.

“Mirabelle, I brought it!”

Kirsten swiftly ran out to Mirabelle’s side after she found the magic ore.

“Ohh…”

Mirabelle felt the familiar sensation of elven ore as she looked at its faint green glow.

She had previously been a princess who always had three or four pieces of elven ore. However, she hadn’t expected that the slave merchant who captured her would steal away all of her elven ore.

This island was a bit larger than the town Kirsten lived in before, so running all the way to the other side would take some effort.

Mirabelle waited for quite a long while before she heard the sound of a rock smashing into the barrier. This was followed by the sound of the rock being easily evaporated by the barrier’s electricity.

Kirsten then ran right over to Mirabelle.

“Mirabelle, you’re so amazing. The barrier actually affects such an incredibly large area…”
