After a long wait, it was finally time for the archduke to give his speech.

Heather clutched tightly onto the rabbit in her embrace. She slowly glanced over at Archduke Nilson.

“First of all, thank you to everyone for coming. A warm welcome to everyone attending my birthday party. As the archduke of the Masa Dukedom, I truly thank everyone for their blessings.”

At this moment, just about everyone attending the party had arrived. Everyone in attendance was standing in the center of the main hallway as they focused on listening to his speech.

“Back when the Masa Dukedom was first established, we were a sparsely populated country. We are located on this special trade channel between two countries, and that helped us to develop to our current extent. Of course, it’s also thanks to everyone’s support that our economy could develop to what it is today. As the archduke, I thank you all again at this birthday party of mine…”

Heather’s eyes were filled with a serious expression as she stared at Archduke Nilson.

“Princess, shall we lock down all the exits now?”
“Yes, lock down the exits. Also, act according to our original plan…”

Macy walked over to the door as her eyes instantly became blood-red. Vines immediately sealed off all the entrances and exits.

Additionally, Macy’s vines had powerful soundproofing capabilities – anyone outside wouldn’t be able to hear what was happening inside, and vice versa.

Many soldiers drew their sharp swords and started slicing the vines that had sealed the doors. However, the sealed doors had actually become as solid as steel, blocking the sharp swords that hit them.

Norris followed the plan and killed all the soldiers outside, using the power of his thralls to drag all the soldiers underground and suffocate them to death, not letting them utter a sound. Nobody would find out what had happened.

Since the soldiers were being dragged and trapped underground, they were unable to move their bodies or even struggle.

These thralls could only be used when there were shadows caused by sunlight. Of course, these thralls weren’t limited to only targeting the living, they could also use a building’s shadow.

It had to be said that this was a very vampire-like thrall technique.

Heather also stood up from her chair and walked right up to the door and stretched out her hand –

Two blinding beams of light in her hand transformed into javelins which shot directly at the bodyguards standing around Archduke Nilson.

The javelins were incredibly fast, the bodyguards didn’t even notice the javelin before they died. Still, Nilson saw that the javelins came from the girl who had been standing at the door and realized that she was the culprit behind everything.

As the two bodyguards collapsed on the ground –

The party guests’ faces were all filled with fear. Some people even began to scream.

“Ahhhhhh…!!!!”

The party guests panicked and started running for the exits. However, the problem was that the exits were all sealed off by vines.

“F… fireball!”

Someone tried using a fireball spell to burn the vines. The fireball burned away the vines –

“T… that’s what you get!”

Just as the male mage exclaimed with delight and condescension – the vine around the door regenerated and sealed the door again with incredible speed.

“Damn it, fireball!”

Someone used another fireball spell. However, the same spell didn’t work a second time. The fireball completely vanished right when it came into contact with the vines. No, more accurately speaking, the vines had devoured the magic energy powering the fireball.

“Albert, Norris, and Griffin, you guys should act now. Turn everyone here into a blood slave-”

Heather issued a command to the three vampires.

The three vampires acted like wild horses who had broken free of their reins after receiving her command. They all began to find their own prey. They started drinking the blood of the types they preferred first, followed by those they didn’t prefer.

Heather moved towards Archduke Nilson after issuing the command.

“Princess Hars, why are you doing this? Aren’t you afraid of us taking revenge?”
“That’s right, that’s right, I’m absolutely going to report this to my emperor, so that your country will be annihilated!”
“We won’t let you go, either! How dare you treat a diplomat like this!”

However, Heather smiled victoriously.
