“So, those injuries all came from getting beaten up by Lei Laohu’s gang?”

Xiao Haitang crossed her arms, tilting her head in annoyance. A faint golden aura of fury seemed to flicker around her, as if she was on the verge of going Super Saiyan.

The vibration of Zhao Zhao’s phone had been caused by a message from Xiao Haitang.

She had come to our school with Tangerine, originally planning to head to the nearby shopping district for some fun to celebrate the start of the summer break.

And that’s how, right outside the school gate, the two of us got caught red-handed by the two JCs still in uniform.

When Haitang noticed Zhao Zhao’s obvious injuries, she pressed us for answers, and we ended up spilling the story about Lei Laohu and his gang ambushing us.

Hearing this, her anger skyrocketed to the point where dark energy practically radiated from her face.

Even as we walked down the street, she kept scolding us.

“You seriously didn’t tell me about this the moment it happened? Aren’t we supposed to be best friends?”

She was more upset about us keeping it from her than about Lei Laohu’s actions.

“Come on, don’t be mad. We already reported it to the police. We just didn’t want you to go off and do something reckless.”

“That mother[bleep]er! He actually dared to hit Onii-chan in the face?! If I don’t break three of his legs, I’ll stop using the name Chang!”

Tangerine was practically hissing in rage, her fur standing on end. She even swore out loud, which was rare for her. Though, technically, she wasn’t even named “Chang” anymore—she was “Chen” now.

“You see?” Haitang gestured at Tangerine. “Even she thinks this can’t just be let go. Since you got hurt because of me, it’s my responsibility to make sure you get payback.”

“Lei Laohu is pretty strong. The guy can punch through concrete walls. If he goes all out, he’s definitely not just some paper tiger,” Zhao Zhao added, though his attempt at persuasion felt more like adding fuel to the fire. Given Haitang’s naturally combative nature, he was only making her more eager to take him on.

Neither of us wanted her to get involved. Even though she could fight, no one was invincible—there was always the chance of getting caught off guard.

So, I tried taking a different approach to dissuade her.

“But the police have been trying to track them down for a whole week and still haven’t caught them. Where are you even going to find them?”

“Then let’s just start investigating now. You might have underestimated me, but I have my own intelligence division.”

“Intelligence division?” I felt like I had just heard something outrageous.

“At the very least, I’m the student council president of Biyang Girls’ Academy’s middle school division. Having an intelligence division under me isn’t strange, is it?”

“No, even if you say it so matter-of-factly, the idea of a middle school student council having an intelligence division is absolutely bizarre!”

Come on, this wasn’t some ridiculous world where teenagers had to save the day because all the adults were useless.

Though, to be fair, having a “God of Bishoujo” as the one-and-only deity was already pretty messed up.

“Then do you need our help?”

“No need. The girls in the student council are all female, and they’d instinctively feel disgusted at the sight of a perverted beast like you.”

Zhao Zhao offered out of kindness, but Haitang hit him with a brutal gut punch—metaphorically.

“GUH!” Zhao Zhao let out a strangled cry, his soul seemingly leaving his body. He was out cold.

“You two just go home and get some rest. I’ll handle those thugs.”

“I have my own information network, too! If I take some dried fish to the alley cats, their leaders will help out!” Tangerine boasted, her tail flicking with excitement.

“Perfect! You’re on the team, Tangerine!”

As long as the name “Lei Kelie” remains in my notebook, it’s impossible for Haitang—or even Lei Laohu’s own father Lei Luo to be able to find him.

Realizing this, I gave up trying to convince her otherwise. If she couldn’t find him, she’d eventually have to let it go, right?

“Fine. Just be careful. And if anything happens, call the police first.”

At a fork in the road near the girls’ school, Haitang and Tangerine went off first, ready to begin their hunt for Lei Laohu.

People with strong initiative never hesitate once they’ve made up their minds. That kind of determination was exactly why Haitang had the ability to be a role model for Tangerine.

——Time Skip——

At Wan○ Plaza, I was trailing behind Xiao Lei, my arms full of shopping bags—at least four or five of them—while she carried three more of her own.

She had ditched her slightly warm hoodie in favor of a breezier white off-shoulder top. She had also swapped her longer shorts for denim hotpants.

It was obvious that, as an “ero master,” Zhao Zhao knew exactly how to highlight a girl’s charm.

The off-shoulder design drew attention away from her flat chest, instead emphasizing the smooth curves of her shoulders. The short shorts, on the other hand, accentuated her long, black-stockinged legs. Combined with black Martin boots, her look was a guaranteed head-turner.

Aside from the clothes she was wearing, the bags in our hands contained even more outfits and underwear.

And, well, this kind of shopping spree wasn’t cheap… Zhao Zhao’s wallet was bleeding out.

“Stop right there, Xiao Lei! At this rate, you’ll be eating dirt all summer!”

I tried to appeal to her with the bleak but undeniable truth. Unfortunately, her shopping frenzy had made her immune to reason.

“I’ll just get a part-time job! With my youthful charm, there’s gotta be demand for a cute JK like me!”

No way! I won’t allow you to sell your body for money! If you must, at least let me be the one paying for it!

“Wake up! You’re a DK, not a JK! You’re spending your summer in remedial classes!”

That snapped her out of it. Her shopping excitement plummeted, and she clutched her head in despair.

“Ahh, remedial classes… My head hurts… Why’d you have to remind me?! I wanna go back to Blackrock Depths!”

As for why we had come all the way to Wan○ Plaza for shopping in the first place, let’s rewind to half an hour ago.

——Time Rewind——

Back at my house, Dad was still at work. Zhao Zhao wasted no time in switching into Zhao Lei.

“Ahh… It feels so good when all the pain just disappears in an instant.”

Our original plan for the afternoon was to have Xiao Lei, as the God of Bishoujo’s divine emissary, go “preach” to Old Feng.

Whether Old Feng believed it or not wasn’t important—what mattered was preparing his mind so that he wouldn’t completely lose it after transforming.

Xiao Lei changed clothes and came downstairs, looking slightly troubled.

“Commander, I think I need more clothes. Wearing the same thing every day is just too cruel for a girl.”

Even Zhao Zhao wouldn’t wear the same outfit every single day, so it made sense that Xiao Lei couldn’t accept it either.

“Alright. Let’s hit Wan○ Plaza first, then swing by Lao Feng’s place later. I also need a new pair of glasses.”

Due to the unbearable summer heat,Old Feng’s food stall only operated at night. We wouldn’t see him in the village until at least 4 PM, which left us plenty of time.

We went to Wan○ Plaza, had some limited-edition pineapple burgers, bought glasses, shopped for clothes and shoes, played arcade games, and even took some pictures in a photobooth.

Wait.

Something wasn’t right.

I froze mid-step, suddenly realizing a horrifying truth.

Had we just… gone on a date?

Was my first date really with Xiao Lei?!

If I didn’t do something to stop this, we might actually hit the “Commander, I don’t wanna be Zhao Zhao anymore!” event flag.

This is basically a beginner-level galgame route—way too easy!

No! I have to do something to disrupt this DATE before it gets any further!

“I’ll just leave my clothes at your place from now on, okay?”

Taking all these girl’s clothes back home would only get Zhao Zhao beaten to a pulp by his mom with a full-power Capoeira combo.

But leaving them all at my place? Wouldn’t that basically make us look like a live-in couple?

“I refuse!”

“Thanks… huh? What? I can’t?” she widened her eyes at me, clearly not expecting my rejection.

“If my dad finds all these girl’s clothes, I’m done for!” Of course, that was just an excuse.

My dad never enters my room because it’s protected by a defensive barrier of anime girl figures and posters—effective only against him.

“Huh? Then what am I supposed to do with my clothes? Is it too late for a refund?”

“Just store them where you kept those two girls’ school uniforms before.”

“That won’t work… I, uh, left them at…”

“What?” She mumbled something, but I didn’t catch it.

“At a manga kissa. You know, the big one over at the Tianping shopping district. You can read manga and have some coffee there. I get along well with the owner, so he lets me store my personal collection there…”

On the surface, her explanation seemed normal. But I happened to know about this place—it was quite famous among the guys.

Why, you ask? Officially, it was just a manga café, just like she said. But the reality was that women weren’t allowed inside.

For regular male customers, it was just a cozy place to read manga. But for those who upgraded to a premium membership through repeated visits, a hidden world was revealed.

The veteran store owner would grant them access to a secret section filled with adult material—manga, figures, videos, the usual stuff.

But that wasn’t all. They also had high-end dolls, rentable cosplay outfits, and top-tier “space cups.” There were even private cubicles, designed to provide customers with the ultimate experience.

“So… you’re saying you’re a premium member there?”

Damn. I envy him. I want in.

Avalon, Eutopia, Gensokyo, many words were passed down by word of mouth among male high schoolers just to describe that legendary paradise.

But I never imagined that someone who had actually reached this fabled land was standing right beside me.

If I remember correctly, the spending requirements to become a premium member were pretty high. Zhao Zhao, you absolute legend.

Not only did he make the cut, but he even became buddies with the owner. I guess the masters of degeneracy really do recognize their own kind.

Seeing that I was also in the know, her expression became even more awkward.

“So you do know about it, Commander? Ugh, I really don’t want to be talking about this right now!”

With deep reverence, I humbly offered her my house key. Refusing this master’s request was nothing short of a crime against heaven.

“Oh, exalted Zhao Zhao-sama! Master of Eros! Grandmaster of the Forbidden Arts! Please, I beg of you, take me to the promised land! Let me become a premium member as well! In return, my home shall be yours to use freely!”

I dropped to one knee and slid forward in a dramatic kneel, trying to hug onto her leg—only for her to swiftly dodge me using her basketball footwork.

“STOP calling me that! Take your key back! And get off the floor!”

The Triple Dere Shout.
