Ruin and Orgo, who’d personally attended the wedding between two fellow SSS-Rankers, where talking about that day.

“It turned out like that since Alim took care of it.”
“You’re right… Say, Orgo. Should we just marry our partners already?”

“True…” Ruin nodded.

However, Orgo had a grim look on his face.

The two of them thought back over the past few months. Deep down, they were assailed by feelings of inadequacy.

The following was the panicked conclusion the two of them arrived at.

They’d obviously take the girls on a date. Thus, they started making plans. Naturally, that was while consulting the romance guidebooks. And what they finally settled on was to:

Split up in two groups and each visit a date spot. The ultimate goal of this first date is to share a hug with the respective partner.

They had to strike while the iron was hot. They decided to ask their respective partners to go on a date right away.

Ruin had come to Lilo’s room. He’d been there to chat often since they started dating. Still, most of those times, it had been all four of them.

“What brings you here today?”
“Uhm, how about we go out somewhere next Sunday?”
“The four of us?”
“No, just the two of us… as in, on a date.”

She gave him a blank look. After going over what he had said in her mind, she gradually started to smile.

“Really?”
“Yes, sorry for never asking until now. I couldn’t come up with anything.”
“You finally~ asked. Eh-heh-heh, I’ve been waiting all that time, you know?”

The prince took a sigh of relief when she didn’t turn down his invitation to a first date and instead showed an expression of delight.

“I was afraid you’d get angry and turn me down after it took me so long.”
“I’d never do that. It made me super happy! Did you already decide on a place?”
“If there’s somewhere you’d like to go, we can pick that, otherwise I’ll look for a good place.”
“Alright! Ruin, I love you, you know?”

His ears turned slightly red as he heard that. The one who said it also blushed as she smiled.

“Yes, I love you, too,” he replied.

“H-Hey, uhm, are you there, Myuri?”
“I am, please come in.”

Orgo was visiting Myuri’s room. The boy, shyer than his appearance would indicate, didn’t come to her room as often as Ruin to Lilo’s. It was at best once per week.

“What a nice surprise! What brings you here, Orgo? Did you come to chat?”
“Well, there is something I want to talk about.”

As she saw his thoughtful, serious expression, she was gripped by unease.

“Wh-What might that be…? Was it something I did? I barely changed how I acted since we started our relationship, so maybe-”
“Th-That ain’t it! You’re jumping to conclusions.”

Orgo, in a rare case for him being able to sense where she was going with this, interrupted her. She wiped her moist eyes and smiled at him.

“I am happy to hear that. I was afraid I was inadequate as your girlfriend…”
“I never thought that. It’s more that I’m the problem. I’m really sorry… The reason I came here today is to get out of this stalemate.”
“Get out of this stalemate…?” Myuri inclined her head in confusion.

Orgo took a deep breath and then awkwardly continued.

“…Wh-Why don’t we go on a date? Just the two of us.”
“Go on… a date?”
“Exactly. A date.”

She forcefully got up from where she was sitting. Then, she jumped at him with an overjoyed expression.

“I would love to…! No matter what, let us go on a date!”
“…Sure, let’s do that!”

While somewhat perplexed that he had managed to reach the ultimate goal before the date had even started, Orgo gently returned Myuri’s embrace. Unused to it, even though they were childhood friends, his face turned bright red.

TL notes:
This will be an ongoing side story through the rest of the volume. I assume this is to sate the author’s craving for chapters with people flirting, since it looks like the rest of the volume will be more plot-centric, though that’s only judging from the chapter titles.
