“W-Woof…” In a rare case for her, Rir glared at me scornfully.

B-But it really is just normal stuff! All I can do is act like the people in such scenes in manga.

“Oh, well. In any case, what should I do? Would it be better to stop my advances?”
“Are you fine with that?”
“Woof… I love Shuu, so I desire his warmth, but it seems there is no other way. If pushing doesn’t work, I might as well try putting off.”
“It’s ‘if pushing doesn’t work, I might as well try pulling¹‘, Rir…”
“Woof! I’ll make sure to remember that.”

If pushing doesn’t work… huh? That actually might be a good idea in her case. Maybe Shuu will apologize to her if he thinks she’s giving him the cold shoulder².

The problem here was whether Rir could endure that. I couldn’t say that out loud, since she was right in front of me, but she seemed rather voracious in matters sex… Though I wasn’t much better.

“In any case, I wonder how Shuu thinks about me.”
“…Doesn’t he tell you regularly that he loves you?”
“He does, quite often at that. But I’m still worried.”

True enough, Shuu wasn’t as easy to understand as Ayumu, who was always sticking to me, and Kanata, who jealously watched over Sakura.

“Woof, what does he think of my body, and this verbal tick of mine.”

He clearly had feelings for her, at least, so I couldn’t imagine him not being happy to be embraced by a girl with such a nice body.

“Woof~… I want to ask him what he really thinks. But if I keep pestering him, he might no longer want to spend time with me and-”
“I think you should ask him when you get home. You could whisper it to him while you hug him. With his personality, I’m sure he’ll give you a reply.”
“You might be right…”

I wonder if this will really be enough to solve the issue.

Geez… she’s way too much in the springtime of her life! That certainly doesn’t make it easier for Shuu to understand her feelings. But I’ve known him since we were little, so I know how he ticks. Once he has romantic feelings for a girl, he’ll love her as long as she stays with him. So, all her worries should be resolved already.

After all, just like it won’t happen with Ayumu and me, and Kanata and Sakura, there’s no way Rir will ever stop having feelings for Shuu⁴.

“-I love Rir!!”

“Woof?”

We could hear Shuu’s voice from the neighboring building. If he was saying that, he was probably talking with Ayumu. There was something before and after, so it probably wasn’t intentional, but the timing was perfect.

“Rir, I’m pretty sure Shuu is talking with Ayumu right now, and we heard some of that.”
“W-Woof… he said, he loves me…”
“I’m confident they didn’t hear our talk, so this must be his true feelings!”

Even Sakura who’d been whimpering and trembling was back with us. Rir’s eyes were moist, and she seemed quite happy.

“Awoo… I love you too, Shuu…”

With all that considered, Rir’s plan was bound to succeed. Though it was still possible Shuu would refuse if he was too embarrassed. But I had the feeling she’d get there, if she took him by surprise and pushed through.

“Once you get home, hug him while you tell him that you heard it.”
“Woof, I’ll do that…”

Her eyes were those of a maiden in love.

I’m getting jealous, what do I do? I also want to make out with Ayumu! I’ll go to his room later.
…Oh, and I’ll also try that stuff Rir mumbled about doing with Shuu at home.

“Did that clear up your worries?”
“Woof, it did!”
“That’s good to hear! Then let’s enjoy the rest of the day. It’s not just our girls’ meeting, the best part of going to someone’s home is to have fun and play games!”
“Awoo!”

1. In the original, Rir confuses ドン引き (“being put off (by someone’s words, behavior, etc.)”) with 引く (“to pull”). I’m not happy with that localization, but I couldn’t think of anything better.
2. The verb in the original is 愛想を突かれた (“affection being poked/stabbed”). This sounds weird, and there’s a similar verb 愛想を尽かす, meaning “fall out of love”, which would make more sense here. Not sure if that’s correct, though.
3. I’m genuinely surprised it was even brought up.
4. That sounds overly optimistic.
