“The two of you were slated to arrive about an hour from now. Will you be putting on the dress and suit already?” I asked Uruto and Parasuna, while shooting a glance at the church’s clock.
“Right, I guess it’s about time.”
“We’ll be in your care, Alim.”
Incidentally, I’d be the one to help Parasuna in the dress and apply her makeup. As for if it was fine for a boy to do that… I didn’t let that question bother me. In the end, I was a girl in this world.
Also, Bacchus would apparently help Uruto put on the suit, so I left that part to him.
“We’ll call you once we’re done putting on the dress.”
“That will be the first time I’m seeing Parasuna in her wedding dress. Alright.”
Parasuna and I moved to a room specifically for putting on the wedding dress (the so-called bride’s room). I closed the door.
“Then… if you would,” she said.
“Of course.”
I took out the dress from my magic bag. It was an article into I had put all my diligence into. This one dress would likely sell for as much as two legend grade weapons.
“First, please change into these bridal undergarments. I will leave the room during that time, so call me once you’re done.”
“Bridal undergarments…? You mean underwear made to go with the dress? Alright.”
I left the room. Even as a girl, it wouldn’t fly to see her naked. That only worked in a relationship like the one Mika and I had.
A few minutes later, she called me back in.
“I’ll be starting to put on the dress, then.”
“Please do.”
First, I had to make sure the interior and exterior were proper. After doing that, I asked her to stand over it.
“That’ll take just a moment.”
“Hm.”
I raised the inner dress (a pannier that would cause the skirt to billow out), which was worn like a normal pair of pants, and secured it to her waist with a button on the back.
…She has quite the good figure. She said she’s 22, right? That would be too young to be called a “mature woman” on Earth, but that’s the atmosphere she’s giving off. That obviously doesn’t mean she looks old.
“Next will be this part.”
I raised the outer dress (The one with a long hem called a train. The part that was usually held up by children during weddings, so it wouldn’t get dirty) until it covered her chest. On that note, dresses in this world for women with voluptuous breasts had distinct cleavages. This wasn’t seen as bold.
Once I secured it at the back with buttons and string, I’d be done. Though it would take some time to do that.
“Yeah… the dress is as wonderful as expected,” Parasuna commented as I was affixing things.
“Eh-heh-heh, thank you for saying that.”
It was something I had put my all into (though I kept it at legend grade), so I was genuinely happy to receive praise for it.
And I was done.
“Next will be make-up.”
“Yes.”
I asked her to sit in a chair and went to work. I had learned a lot about make-up used for weddings when I studied up on it. Maybe one day I could put it on use with Mika, too.
Well… my girlfriend looked fine with natural make-up, or none at all. She would probably only use it on such an occasion. For the same reason, I didn’t seem to need to put on much make-up myself in this world.
Oh, self-praise is no praise at all… whatever.
“I’ll also be fixing your hair a bit.”
“Alright.”
Applying make-up, which usually would have taken quite a bit of time, was done rather fast due to my quickness stat. Next, I put her hair into a bob, which would make wearing the veil easier. It also served to make sure her rabbit ears wouldn’t look unnatural.
“Once you’ve put on the shoes and gloves, we’re mostly done. We’ll be affixing the veil later.”
“Yeah, thank you,” she replied while putting on the shoes.
Maybe I did have some talent for working at weddings.
“What do you think?”
“This is me?”
“Yes, it is.”
Parasuna kept looking into the mirror as she stood up. She was incredibly pretty. So pretty, Mika would likely say something like “let’s get married soon, too” once she saw her. With this, the attention should be on the bride, rather than the venue decorations.
“So pretty… Thank you, Alim.”
“You’re welcome.”
“For a former slave like me to wear such a thing1… I wonder what Uruto will say when he sees it… Heh-heh-heh-heh.”
She’s a former slave!? I mean, I shouldn’t be that surprised, with Rir living with us. Something probably happened a long time ago with Mr. Uruto.
“I’ll be calling Mr. Uruto, then. He should be done putting on the suit.”
“Right.”
On that note, I had also properly designed said tuxedo and made it by hand. I mean, it was part of the request.
I sent Bacchus a message, telling him that Parasuna was done putting on the dress, so he should bring the groom here.
Footnotes:
- I guess this makes it probable that she was the slave that caused Uruto to start his crusade against the underworld slave trade in Mephilad.
