“Eh-heh-heh, that was fun!”
“Yep! It absolutely was!”

The roller coaster had been a blast. Mika and I were the type to enjoy a roller coaster ride while smiling instead of screaming. We didn’t make any fuss.

“Once we’re getting close to the time of going home, let’s ride it again.”
“Alright! Then as discussed earlier, let’s have a quick lunch next.”
“Hm!”

We made our way to the amusement park’s food court. It was the quintessential eating area you found in any amusement park. They sold everything from Ramen, Soba, and Udon, to Takoyaki, Karaage, Yakitori, and French Fries.

“What should we take?”

After arriving at the court, we were about to pick what we wanted to eat from the menu displayed at the shop’s counter.

“I’m going with… Hot Dog and French Fries, I guess…” Mika decided.
“Hm, I’ll take the same, then.”
“So, we’re taking the same! Let’s order that, then.”

What Mika was pointing at was a pile of French Fries titled as “Couples-Only Fries”. If you were wondering what made this a dish for couples, it was simply a portion for two served on a heart-shaped plate. It was the same as two normal servings.

“…Then, let’s go with that.”
“Eh-heh-heh! In that case I’ll take a melon soda to drink.”
“A melon soda, huh? I guess I’m going with… the…”

My words ended up petering off. I had caught sight of something described as “Couple-sized beverage. Forked straw optional.”

“How about… that one?”
“Huh? Oh, the couple-sized one… shall we take that?”
“Let’s.”

This food court worked with ticket machines. We used a machine to buy a ticket for two Hot Dogs, French Fries for Couples, and a Couple-Sized Drink (melon soda), and then showed it at the counter.

After getting our number slip, we went to sit on the terrace in a spot for two people. About ten minutes later, our number was called, so I went to get our food, and we finally had lunch.

“”Thank you for the meal.””

Maybe since we were thinking the same, we both first ate the Hot Dogs. We ended up eating a bit hastily. Then, while drinking water we had brought with us (we did have melon soda, but that wasn’t for appeasing our thirst) we finished eating the Hot Dogs quicker than normal.

Now, the actual show would start.

“The fries, right?”
“Right.”

Mika picked up a single French Fry. Rather than bringing it to her own mouth, she was aiming for mine.

“Here you go, say ‘aah’.”
“Aah.”

She threw the fry into my mouth, which I had opened in advance.
Mh… Stuff I made by myself is better… not. For some reason, it’s sweet and salty, less in taste than feeling. I wonder is it because I’m embarrassed?

“Me too, Ayumu!”
“Alright.”

I picked up a fry and brought it to her mouth. Before I could throw it in there, she snatched it with her mouth. Her lips touched my finger.

Well, that was no longer the case, but if that had happened before we were dating, I’d probably have been so excited for the rest of the day, I wouldn’t have been able to sleep. Not that we fed each other before we started dating.

“Then… this thing.”
“Shall we try it?”

Next, we started on the melon soda. At the time we were together in the bath, we also shared a glass of that soda using a forked straw. Back then, it was just the two of us on a rooftop, so it went smoothly, but now… there were tons of people. Especially since the two of us had a tendency to attract the attention of others.

It was embarrassing… but my love for her outweighed my shame.

“L-Let’s drink it.”
“Hm.”

The fork at the center of the straw was heart shaped. We both took our ends into the mouth at the same time and then sucked up the soda at the same time, too.

I wasn’t looking at the glass, but at Mika’s face. Likely since she was embarrassed, she turned slightly red. It looked adorable.

“Phew. Eh-heh-heh.”
“Eh-heh-heh… Sweet, right?”

From an outside perspective we likely looked like one of these sickeningly sweet couples. Well, I barely cared about that.

“One more fry… say ‘aah’.”
“Aah.”

She had taken another fry and brought it to my mouth. I imitated what Mika had done before and snapped at the fry… My lips touched Mika’s fingers-

Well, that went on and we flirted all meal long. This would make the normal way to eat fries boring, but I decided not to let that bother me. We firmly drank all the melon soda together.

“I’m full! What should we ride next?” Mika asked while rubbing her belly.
“Hm~… something that’s not too hard on the stomach would be best. How about Go-Karts?”
“I assume you’ll be driving?”
“Yep.”

Although I said that, I wasn’t that great at driving Go-Karts… though there would probably be a time in the future when I’d drive around with Mika.

Thus, we made our way to the next ride.
