“That’s it, thank you so much!”
“”You’re welcome!””
After the portraits for the new posters were done, Mika and I stopped striking our poses. The current setting was me sitting in a chair with Mika hugging me from behind. The posters based on that would apparently be used for the announcement of a line of children’s clothing from a big store.
“Well, the two of you sure look adorable today, too.”
“”Thank you for saying that!””
If someone called you cute, you had to thank them frankly. I currently wasn’t a boy, so I wouldn’t be miffed by being called cute. Rather, it gave me genuine happiness.
“Let’s see… when was the next gig again?” I asked.
“Three days from now. Next time will be leaflets for women’s clothing.”
“Understood!”
“Then I’ll be counting on you next time, too. Thanks to you two, Alim, Mika, we’re making a killing.”
“Heh-heh… alright!”
After hearing what the next job was about, Mika and I left what would be called a photo studio in Anazumu while holding hands. On our way home from said studio, we were guarded by someone from the Medial Merchant Association, the company responsible for marketing the earlier mentioned line of children’s’ clothing. A crowd had gathered, hoping to catch a glimpse of Mika and me.
Well, we could’ve gone in disguise, plus our escort was weaker than us, so there was no need, but said escort had let slip that they were extremely excited about guarding us, so we let them do their job.
…Though saying it like that sounds kinda snobbish.
That was usually the work we did; things similar to a photoshoot with Mika and me acting like idols. At this point, it wasn’t just this city… or even just this country. Advertisements with usually either Mika, me, or both of us pictured had even spread to other countries. You could probably call us world-known top idols now. Well, we didn’t just work in that role.
Oh, although I keep going on about idols this and idols that, that actually wasn’t a thing in Anazumu, we were simply famous adventurers.
“”We’re home~!”” we yelled as we entered the mansion, after being seen off by our escort and fans.
Well, this usually got us a response from the other inhabitants. Via message, that is.
Recently, it looked like Shuu and Rir did strength training and other activities by the two of them, and my younger brother and (future) sister-in-law apparently stopped obsessing about studying and were mainly planning their date. Obviously, they all acted like lovebirds.
Mika and I entered our room, changed into loungewear, and sat down next to each other on the sofa.
As for our most recent topic…
“Have you settled on a design for the wedding dress?”
Indeed, the preparation for Uruto’s and Parasuna’s wedding. I’d focused on it for the last three days. Especially on the wedding dress. As for the result of three days and nights studying the teaching materials from a school specifically for clothes design and consulting wedding dress catalogues from Earth…
“Heh-heh-heh, I’ve decided on one.”
“I knew you could do it! Can I see it?”
“Here you go.” I took out the paper with the design on it from my magic bag and showed it to her.
“Wow… it’s so pretty.”
“Right? It looks wonderful!”
“Yeah, the two of them will absolutely love it! When are you going to tell them?”
“Tomorrow, I guess. Though I was planning to give them an update every week. I didn’t think I’d finish it this quickly.”
Well, the quicker I finished preparing, the better. Especially since they seemed to plan to make this a big event in the country.
“At any rate, you worked hard! Makes it feel as if you never complained about being bored a few days ago.”
“True. There’s still a lot more to do, so I won’t have much free time for the foreseeable future.”
To be honest, there was no real need for us to do work. We did it mostly because it was fun.
“But you won’t do any more work today, right?”
“No, I won’t.”
“In that case… kiss me!”
That was how it went. If we had nothing to do, we flirted and made out, which was one constant in our life.
“Mh… hold me close…”
“I’m already doing that.”
“It’s true… eh-heh-heh.”
She spoiled me to the best of her abilities, so I returned the favor. We couldn’t do that on Earth.
“What will you do next… after the wedding dress?”
“The wedding-cake. And then the decorations and food.”
Mika had asked her question while holding me close. For that reason, I only gave a brief reply.
“Could it be that you already mostly decided on the cake?”
“No. I’ve directed all my mental faculties towards the dress, so I haven’t thought about it yet.”
“I see… Then you’ll move onto the cake once you’ve informed them tomorrow, right?”
Yep, I’ll do that. The next thing I’ll focus on will be the cake.
