“Guess that’s all done.”
“Thank you for helping.”
Afterwards, we ate lunch, then quickly tidied things up, and now Rir’s room was in a good state. Though saying that, I didn’t know whether this was another blessing from the other world, but everything went smoothly. We got it done in a short time span.
How should I put it, Rir’s room was very much like her. In one word, it was simple. While they were some cute accessories, they didn’t stand out. You couldn’t call it anything but modest.
“Hm~. Shuu, I’d like to see your room,” Rir said after taking a glance at her own room.
“Huh? You sure?”
“I’m a bit curious. Though we don’t need to.”
“Nah… I don’t see the harm in showin’ you.”
It was true. I did have a po̲rn mag that normally couldn’t be bought by those under 18, which I got through an intermediary at school1.
Ayumu found out about it, though. But he had some of those, too. Still… Mika then apparently found out about his. But with her abnormal intuition, that probably was only a question of time2.
To not repeat Ayumu’s mistake, I hid mine very thoroughly. Rir shouldn’t be able find it.
“This is my room.”
“…Sorry for the intrusion.”
My room was opposite Rir’s. I opened the door, and she went inside.
I also used the room for strength training, so there were light training tools and a smallish mat. I usually kept my window open for ventilation, so it wouldn’t smell too much of sweat. For that reason, it was quite a bit bigger than Ayumu’s room.
But other than Mika, no girls had ever come here. Mika didn’t have any particular comments when she saw it. How would Rir view my room? I made sure to properly keep it tidy, so it shouldn’t appear dirty.
“*Sniff*… hah…”
I could hear her exhaling. The next moment, Rir was moving through my room while sniffing, as if she was following a scent.
“Yes, that’s your smell, Shuu. This is probably the place where it’s strongest among those I’ve been so far.”
Wh-What the…
“Ah, it’s not smelling of sweat, right?”
“Hm? Well, I can definitely make out a slight note of sweat. But I think normal people wouldn’t notice. For me, it’s the scent of the one I love, so I can pick it up easily.”
It looked like her sense of smell was still going strong, even in this world.
“From my knowledge, it seems rather clean for a boy’s… hm? Hmm?” While commenting about my room, she suddenly inclined her head with a frown.
What got her so curious now…?
“Rir, somethin’ wrong?”
“Mh… no, I just picked up the tiniest scent that belongs to you but is different from the others. It’s neither sweat nor body odor.”
“What do you mean…?”
“Uhm, how should I put it… right, it’s the scent you give off when we have intercourse while naked. That’s the one.”
…Not good. This is bad in so many ways.
It didn’t predict her nose to pick that up. If she keeps goin’…
“…Woof? It’s not coming from you, Shuu. I thought you were in such a mood right now, but… seems I was wrong,” she concluded while looking disappointed.
She wandered through the room while sniffing, until she came to a stop in front of the hiding place of the previously mentioned magazine.
“Shuu… you don’t want me to search here, do you?”
“Yep, I don’t.”
“Alright, then I won’t.
She took some distance from where she had been standing.
…Phew. She’s a nice person. That saved my hide.
“Even so, I know what you have there,” she said, as she returned to my side and clung to my arm.
I immediately broke into cold sweat.
“I-I-Is that so…?”
“Yeah. But from now on, please leave that to me instead of such a book. Though only if you are up for it and Mama and Papa aren’t around,” she replied with a smile.
Should I be happy ’bout that? Relieved?
“S-Sorry, Shuu. I got carried away a bit.”
“Eh… well, it’s fine.”
How did my face look right now? She seemed extremely apologetic, as she said that after peerin’ at me.
“A-Are you sure?”
“Yep, I don’t mind, so you don’t worry either.”
“…Alright.”
I somehow managed to smile as I caressed her head. I mussed up her slightly curly hair which felt somewhat off, since her wolf ears were missing. She looked at me in apparent bliss.
That seems to have fixed the weird atmosphere… so let’s move on to the main topic.
For some time now… or rather for those three weeks until Rir came here, I’d been preparing something. I wanted to give it to her now.
“Rir, I have a present for you.”
“Woof? What might it be?”
I took a paper bag from a shelf and brought out a red hood from it.
“Here you go.”
“…A red hood!”
“Yep, they don’t sell those here, so I tried that Sewing skill I picked up in Anazumu. In other words, I made it myself. The size should be just right.”
Rir looked between me and the red hood. I could guess what she was about to ask, so I nodded. She took the hood and put it on. Her face turned slightly red.
“Sh-Shuu. I-It must look…”
“It’s very cute.”
“Y-You think so? Eh-heh-heh… I guess this is female nature. Could you tell me if it suits me?”
The answer to that was clear. She herself must’ve thought the hood suited her, since she always wore it whenever we went outside in the other world. I also thought it did, that’s why I made her this present.
“It suits you very well.”
“I-I see! Thank you, Shuu.”
She hugged me again.

- Why go through that much trouble, is this a world without the internet?
