Kanata, Sakura, Shuu, and Rir welcomed Mika and me.

After our talk with the king and the others, they showed us their hospitality. Long story short, that talk happened yesterday. We ended up staying the night, even though we hadn’t planned to.

We explained to the king and the others how Karua and co. got so strong, and made recommendations about how to handle Tuhl’s notes. We also discussed how dungeons would be managed in the future.

When we apologized to Rir for delaying her planned trip to Earth for another day, she was kind enough to wave it away with a “Woof, it’s fine!” and forgive us.

…While we were staying at the castle, I took the chance to ask what would happen to the two prisoners that were taken during the war with the demons. I felt like enough time had passed for Mitsuo to repent, but they hadn’t forgiven him.

Concerning Herrell; even now, he still had the title making him the genuine hero and treating him poorly was out of the question, so they told me that he kept living in the castle under observation. Naturally, together with his sweetheart, the former princess Elle.

Mitsuo, on the contrary, would apparently be executed soon. It seemed like the king and the others had finished extracting all the needed information from him. When I asked for the date of said execution, they told me that it would happen within the next two months.

Once the time came, I’d need to retrieve his body, bring him back to life with an amrita, and then immediately send him back to Japan¹.

After our reunion, having not seen each other for two weeks, I asked Kanata how they had been doing. From what he told me, in those days, all of them had reached the stat cap and used Reincarnation a total of 305 times. They made around 700 rounds through their dungeon.

Being the level-up fiend, I was about to make a snide comment but then changed my mind.
On second thought, it must’ve been hard for them. Sorry.

“So, what we gonna do today?”
“Right. Tomorrow, we’ll return to Earth, won’t we? And we’ll take Rir with us. In that case, let’s use the remainder of today to take it slow,” I replied to Shuu’s question.
“Big Sis, when will we come back here from Earth?” Kanata interjected.
“Hm~, when indeed.”
“I thought about that… I think we have two options.”

He told us about his reasoning for how much time we should spend there before returning. He explained that our time of return would change depending on what situation Rir found herself in, when she traveled to Earth.

The first possibility was her being integrated into our living environment in a natural seeming fashion. That would mean she’d already be living as a Japanese citizen somewhere close to us. In that case, there shouldn’t be any issues, so we would spend a week on Earth.

The second case was that she appeared in an unknown location, like when we had arrived in this world. Maybe since Mika and I were connected by fate, we had coincidentally both appeared relatively close to each other within the same country, but seeing how Kanata, Sakura, and Shuu emerged in another country, Rir might appear in another prefecture… or even outside Japan.

The message function wasn’t available on Earth. In such a case, Kanata recommended that we would return here after spending an hour on Earth, and then get the details from Rir to deal with the situation.

No one was opposed to his proposal. Thus, if Rir appeared in a nearby place, we’d stay there for a week. If she didn’t, we’d return after an hour and hold a strategy meeting.

“It’s decided, then!”
“Woof, I hope it’s a nearby place…”
“Same here.”

Come to think of it, while Rir acts like a spoiled child around Shuu like she usually does, is it just my imagination that something seems different? Oh well, it’s not my place to meddle.

“In that case, let’s split up until dinner! You can all spend your time as you want.”

After announcing that, Mika and I returned to our own room for the first time in two weeks. Although it hadn’t been cleaned all this time, there wasn’t a single speck of dust in our love nest.

And right after returning there…

Mika’s intuition was usually spot on. And, if Karua, who’d gleefully watched us make out before, wanted to witness such a thing, then it wasn’t unthinkable for her extreme luck to create another situation, enabling her to. Indeed… that was certainly something I could see happening.

“I guess you’re right. Well, from now on, we should have ample opportunities for that, both here and on Earth.”
“Eh-heh-heh-heh-heh, I love you.”

Though once we go to Earth, I’ll lose the option of creating a situation where no one else can intrude, so let’s enjoy this time to its fullest.
