“That’s about how it works!”

I had told them about Reincarnation. Just briefly, how you reverted to level 1, but kept your STP, SKP, learned skills, titles, and such.

“There… there was nothing about that, even in books…” Tuhl stammered.

“I think there either weren’t any so far people who used it, or only very few,” I hypothesized. “It’s possible that people born in this world reached this point. But even with the power to defeat SS-Rank monsters, it would be risky to start over from scratch except for the STP and SKP you allocated, so people wouldn’t do that, would they?”

These were my own thoughts on the matter. If you asked me, people really thought that way. In the end, the number of SSS-Rankers could be counted on two hands, so getting there wasn’t exactly easy.

“True enough. I can imagine people would think so,” Tuhl replied.
“Then, would it be better for us to stop at this point, too…?”

That was how Myuri had interpreted my words… but she was wrong. They already knew how to farm exp in a dungeon.

“No, if you want to get stronger, you should use it. Or rather, you should become stronger.”
“…What do you mean?” Ruin asked.
“You already know of a method to level up safely in a dungeon, don’t you? Because of that, you will be fine, even if you go back to level 1. Besides, if you stop now, you might be able to defeat SS-Rank subspecies, but you won’t stand a chance against an evil god.”

Maybe because they had faced off against the demons’ army, everyone’s eyes snapped open.

“True enough… When you fought the demon god, even Father… Gilmars, and Parasuna died…” Ruin thought back. “Then, is this the secret of your power, Alim?”

Well, back then, you’d have died instantly no matter how strong you were, it was unavoidable. On the contrary, it was weird that Uruto survived. If you asked me, that was because of some skill.

“That’s how it is. So… will you use Reincarnation?”
“…You’re right. I think we should do it. And we should properly write down our experiences,” Tuhl commented, holding up the book he used for his notes.
“This is true. We worked hard to get to this point, but…” Karua mused. “I also think we should use Reincarnation like Alim said!”
“In that case… the same goes for us,” Ruin decided.
“You’re right. For the sake of getting stronger,” Lilo agreed.
“Yes!” Myuri joined her.
“Our skills won’t disappear, right? Let’s do it!” Orgo exclaimed.

They all seemed enthusiastic.

With this, there should be a human record detailing leveling methods and Reincarnation. I sincerely hope it won’t be used for evil.
I guess I’ll tamper with Tuhl’s notebook to prevent that later.

“Alright… let’s do it.”

They all closed their eyes and used Reincarnation at the same time. It took one minute for the process to finish each time. This was the reason it took us half a day to use Reincarnation 350 times¹ with all that accumulated exp. It was tough.

A minute later, they all opened their eyes again. To check their own state, they each flexed their hands and rolled their shoulders.

“How does it feel?” I asked them.
“Well… a bit as if I lost all my strength at once…” Ruin replied.
“That can’t be helped.”

This would fade as they used Reincarnation more and more. Though I didn’t how often they were planning to repeat it.

“It’s already late today, so we should do our first dive after Reincarnation tomorrow.”
“You’re right. In any case, thanks to the allocated STP, although we’re back at level 1, our stats are about the same as they were at level 80.”
“Correct. Because of that, I think you should have no issues tomorrow to immediately clear everything up to the B-Rank subspecies. And if you directly allocate the points you get from the level-ups up to that point, you should be able to defeat the deteriorated S-Rank specimen without leaving the dungeon.”

That way, they’d need 11 rounds through the dungeon per Reincarnation from tomorrow on. At their fastest, a round for them would likely take around ten minutes, so… they could probably use Reincarnation between two and three times per day. The king gave us two weeks. Of that, there were ten days left, so, at best, they could use it 30 times.

I relayed the results of my mental calculation to them.

“Wha-… use Reincarnation 30 times? Is that really possible?” Ruin yelled.
“It should be easy-peasy! You’ll be fine, Mika and I used it more than 500 times.”

When I mentioned that, I saw Ruin’s face twitch for a moment.

“F-Five hundred…” Lilo gasped.
“Dang… you managed that many,” Orgo seemed in awe.
“As expected, the strong ones aren’t spared hard work,” Myuri mused.

500 uses of Reincarnation, each of which would require 11 rounds through the dungeon. This was easy to calculate, so they likely assumed I had done the same dungeon 5500 times. However, 350² of those uses were thanks to Mika.

Though it was true that I had gone through the same dungeon close to 4900 times. Since one round there didn’t give 900’000 exp.

“In that case… do your best again tomorrow! You should take it slow for the rest of today.
“Alright,” Ruin accepted my proposal.

Well, normal people get tired. That’s how leveling is.

1. The original is 500 times. They once used it 180 times in a row, and another time 350.
2. The original is 400, but Mika’s rain of death “only” gave then enough exp to do so 350 times. Where do these weird numbers come from? It makes no sense.
