“Now, about the next round,” I announced after Lilo and Myuri had finished their rest. “It’s about who will fight from now on. At this point, all of you should be able to do a round on your own.”
“Hrm. How should we do this, then?” Ruin wondered.
“From this point on, the crux will be to keep your MP consumption down, so you can do rounds with as little breaks as possible. That’s it, pretty much.”

“Just nine rounds!?”

In fact, it will be closer to eight and a half rounds. That so little is enough to get to the cap, is truly insane.

“Haaaaaaaaa!!” Lilo cast her magic.

Right after the four robots had emerged from the walls, they were swallowed up by a firestorm. All that remained were their magic cores.

The wall slid upwards, and a treasure chest emerged from within. Without anyone asking her to, Karua closed in on the chest and opened it. It went without saying that there was a key box inside.

The skill was called “Power of Bonds”. Although the name sounded like an SK2 skill, it was SK1.

From what it said, by spending half of you max MP, your stats would be increased by 50% for a limited time for each person above a certain affection within a specific range. On that note, this was for the skill at the first stage. At higher levels, all of that would apparently increase.

Huh, what the hell… isn’t that crazy strong? It might be better than low-end SS-Rank skills.

If I used it, for instance… I would get an increase for Mika, Shuu, Kanata… and probably Sakura. This would multiply my stats by three². Incredible…!

I hurriedly relayed that to the others.

“I agree,” Orgo added.
“I think so, too,” Tuhl jumped on the bandwagon.
“I also think you should learn it, Dear Brother!”

Ruin seemed exasperated, as he let out a listless “seriously?”. Mika and I went to rub salt in his wounds.

“Come on, everyone likes you, so it can only be you, Mr. Ruin,” I told him.
“She’s right, you know~,” Mika agreed. “I also think you are the best to draw out the full potential of this power!”

“Huh… wha-? You really want me to take it?”

Everyone nodded.

“I-I guess I’ll learn it, then.”
“Here you go, learn it right away,” I said, as I gave him the card.
“Right.”

He put it against his forehead and acquired the skill.

“I-I learned it…” he announced, while scratching his cheek in both embarrassment and joy.

1. The original is A-Rank. I assume that’s a typo.
2. The original is “multiplied by two”. But it’s an increase of 50% per person, so four people would mean an increase of 200%, bringing the total to 300%, which is 100% multiplied by three. Math is hard.
3. Either that means you can’t get it by synthesis or there are sources other than dungeons for skill cards.
4. The original is “Forced Contract”. However, he received that from a god and not from a dungeon, so I assume this is supposed to be his Smoke Magic, which is from a dungeon. Also, there was a typo in the name Mephistophales.
