“See you again soon!”
“Yes!”

Was us staying here over the night that much fun?

“S-See you… Karua!”
“W-Woof… good-… goodbye!”

Or was she so happy to have made two new friends?

“I will be waiting!” Karua saw us off with a radiant smile.

Well, we were pretty much neighbors, so seeing us off in such an exaggerated fashion seemed a bit much. We had already planned our next visit and decided on the day for the training.
…While I was thinking about that, we reached our mansion.

Shortly after coming home.

“Woof…! I’m friends with the princess…! Friends with a princess!?” Rir kept muttering as she clung to Shuu’s arm, her excitement and surprise about becoming close to the princess of this country still not having abated.

“In any case, the king here is completely different from that idiot back in Yggdrasil. He listened to us cordially, and, most importantly, doesn’t act overbearing at all. Same goes for the officials around him.”
“Should you really talk like that about a king, even if he’s dead?” Mika asked, when she heard Kanata’s dissatisfaction with Yggdrasil’s ruler, contrasting his rather positive evaluation of King Mephilad.
“Mika-nee, that fool was no respectable king. He made the slavery system there even worse! Moreover, he left all politics to other people! All he did was weird stuff like leaning back arrogantly on his throne! The guy was incompetent, so he foisted everything onto others! King Mephilad is so much better in comparison.”

Well, it isn’t just Kanata who hated the guy and his personality wasn’t the only issue either. I wonder, did he have some aim concerning Sakura? Otherwise, he probably wouldn’t have acted like he did. Kanata is heads over heels1 for her, so it’s easy to understand why he thinks like that.

“Yup, I completely agree with Kanata.”
“You too, Shuu. Huh…”

Even Shuu, who normally never badmouthed people, thought it was fitting.

“Well, that matter has already been settled, hasn’t it?” Kanata mused. “I’ve decided to live in this country while I’m in this world. The public safety here is excellent, and the economic conditions are among the best in Anazumu. Plus, the king and the other royals are good people.”
“Same here. Seems like a great country,” Shuu agreed.

Hearing them say that made me happy, too. This country had become a bit like a second home for me. Though I couldn’t say when I started to feel that way.

Afterwards, we talked about various aspects of this country, and then discussed how it compared to the city we lived in on Earth, when Kanata suddenly tried to confirm something, seemingly having remembered something.

“…Big Sis, we’ll try tomorrow whether we can go home or not, won’t we?”
“Yep, that’s the plan. What about it?”
“Well, all we did was take a look at that Reincarnation Shop, but we never bought anything, right? Erm… I think it would be better to try buying some stuff now, while we still have time. These added functions especially.”

He’s absolutely right. I had forgotten about that, we never did any shopping. We have to give this a try.

“In that case, should we go shopping?”

I brought out the Jizou-shaped teleporter-slash-shop, and placed it on the floor.

“Alright, Big Sis, I’ll give it a try first.”

Kanata let go of Sakura’s hand and placed his own on the head of the Jizou statue. Two minutes passed.

“Oh… my Reincarnation count has gone down…”
“So, the points really were spent. Looks like that shop is the real deal…”

From what Kanata told us, it was exactly like the explanation had said.

I was the next to give it a spin. I selected the World Transfer Privilege and the added options, and bought them. When I returned to the first screen, the World Transfer option was now available. I immediately took my hand off the statue and checked my status screen.

Yep, my own Reincarnation count really has gone down…!

“You try it too, Mika!”

After that, Mika, Sakura, and Shuu all did buy things in the Reincarnation Shop. Rir hadn’t used Reincarnation often enough to buy the World Transfer Privilege, but she said that she’d work hard to save up Reincarnation points to go to our world. Well, that was only natural.

“Are you all done?”
“Hm? We are. Is something wrong, Ali-nee?”
“No, I just thought I’d do a bit more shopping.”

Adding new functions, for example. Or buying a 5-star skill. I wanted to do that before we went home. The new functions especially might add something useful to World Transfer.

“Hm~? You were the one to create this thing, weren’t you, Big Sis? Can’t you use it as much as you want?”
“That’s true. I’ll get to that, then.”
“You always were stingy, so I’m sure there’s no need to worry, but try not waste your Reincarnation points.”

With this piece of unwelcome advice, I accessed the Reincarnation Shop again.
