But even so, it was a truly outrageous amount, precisely enough to reincarnate another 350 times.
Well, that’s what happens when you kill tens of thousands of magic beasts and demons.

“What should we do? Use it for Reincarnation?”
“Not much else to use it on… For now, let’s use everything that’s accumulated.”
“Alright…”

Mika and I single mindedly used Reincarnation again and again. And even though it had been just after noon when we started, it was already high time to get started on cooking dinner when we were finally done.

Once we finished the long and arduous task, we checked our status screens. We both had 6.65 million STP and something around 7 million SKP.
With that much SKP, I doubt we’ll manage to use it up, even if we try… I wonder, does it have an upper limit?

“Hm~, this is crazy,” Mika mused.
“For now, let’s just allocate our… no, first things first, let’s eat dinner. We can decide afterwards.”
“You’re right.”

For our meal, we had salt grilled mackerel pike and chestnut rice. Fitting for fall.
Japanese people tend to stick to Japanese food, after all.

“Now that we’ve eaten, shall we get to allocate that STP?”
“Yeah, let’s…!”

Immediately after we were done with dinner, Mika and I started investing points on the status screen.
Now, how to go about this… what allocation would be best?

In the recent battles, I had learned that almost every stat except for HP and D was important. Well, D was also important, but it paled compared to S.
Right… For now, I’ll allocate just 500’000 points to S as an experiment.

Thus, I tried to put that plan into practice. However, I was unable to allocate all the points. Indeed, to make it short…

Mika looked at me with a troubled expression.

“You too, Mika?
“Yeah. Looks like we already reached the limit, didn’t we…?”
“True. For it to be over this quickly…”

Mika told me that she had tried to put 2 million points into W. However, once the display on the stat screen reached 999’999, she apparently couldn’t allocate any further STP. In other words, our stats capped out at 999’999.

No, to be more correct, it looked like we could allocate 999’999 STP per stat. On my stat screen, the S stat was now displayed at “999’999 + α”.

This alpha… I guess that’s the stat increases from level-ups and skills.

Furthermore, the STP display had changed to MAX.
This is unexpected, I didn’t think we’d reach a limit! I mean, it’s an absolute cap!

I consulted with Mika.

“What should we do?” she wondered.
“What indeed…? How about maxing out every stat for now?”
“Let’s do that…”

With our 6.65 million STP, we were able to max out every stat except for HP and MP. That left us with about 4 million points.

I put 1.5 million of that remainder into HP and every else into MP. Those two stats apparently weren’t limited to 999’999.
…I explained that to Mika. Our stats at the end were nothing but insane.

Yep, this is crazy.

I wonder, what’s this exalting feeling…? Seeing all these nines is awesome, after all!
I didn’t expect it to be limited to six digits, but when I look at these numbers lined up, it makes my heart jump…!

Mika apparently sensed my excitement.

“Ayumu, you do love videogames. Right now, I’m sure you’re incredibly hyped up, deep down.”
“Ah-ha-ha-ha, you know me well! Don’t you think this is… marvelous, fantastic, and wonderful!?
“Ah… w-well, I guess.”

Oops, looks like I brought my face too close to her, so she pulled back.

“You really love games, don’t you? Maybe more than me?”

She shrugged, as if to say, “Oh, dear”. But she looked slightly sad…

“Of course I don’t!” I immediately replied.

Mika’s expression gradually lit up.

“Eh-heh-heh, thank you. I know that…”

All of a sudden, she was in high spirits again. It was probably the brightest smile she’d shown me in quite some time.

Exhausted from our stat management, we then decided to take a bath together in the large bathroom and get ample rest that night. This didn’t seem to satisfy Mika, so she showered me in kisses and did… lots of other things, when I was trying to fall asleep.

TL notes:
Another attempt to break the system governing Anazumu by causing an overflow is thwarted by solid programming! Still, you can apparently get past this limit with equipment modifiers, and since there seems to be no equipment slots keeping you from loading up on stat boosting accessories, I’m sure it’s only a matter of time until Alim does something that breaks the world.

There were some more of the usual calculation errors, but with this, there won’t be any further status screens (partial or complete).
