When they were done eating, Schenna returned to the kitchen with Kishana to prepare everything for the next day.

“Today was really rough on both our sides. How did your date go though?”
“…It was fun. I used to imagine dates as something scary, but a lot of girly things happened.”
“Luthors has a really cutesy side to her. Yesterday when we were cooking the pumpkins, she asked me what kind of taste you preferred. She really wants to become fitting for you.”

This was the first time Schenna was experiencing a girl having feelings for her.
Schenna then proposed something to Kishana while they were peeling potatoes.

“Do you want to go to the elves’ forest next holiday? Most of the ingredients here were grown there, so I’m curious to see how that place is. There’s a lot of nature there so maybe it can help with Luthors’ recovery as well.”
“That’s true. I’d like to see all the stuff they grow there, and I’d gladly do it for Luthors as well.”
“Thanks.”

Schenna bowed to her, but Kishana dismissed it telling her to stop acting so reserved.
A week later, they all woke up early in the morning, got on a horse carriage and headed to the elves’ forest.
Reesha had also taken a free day, so she was accompanying them to show them where to go.

“Is it really okay if I don’t use my teleporting magic?”
“It’s not bad to travel normally without magic from time to time.”

Grana was asking Schenna while they traveled in the rocking carriage.
They had relied on Grana’s magic to travel large distances until recently, so this time they decided that they would head there in a carriage.

“Luthors, how are you feeling?”
“I’m okay. If you’re with me I can calm down.”
“If you don’t feel well, don’t force yourself and tell us.”
“Don’t worry, I won’t try to force myself.”

Her complexion looked good, and there were no signs of clouds nearby so they would probably be fine.
And in the worst case, Grana was there to treat her, so they had no reason to worry.

“This almost feels like I’ve become your mother. My motherly instincts are itching.”
“Reesha-san, please don’t make fun of us.”
“Your restaurant is becoming really famous and you seem to be maturing while getting used to living here. I’m sure your parents in your hometown would be proud of you as well.”
“…No, I left without saying anything to them, so they probably think I have no respect for them.”
“I don’t think so. After all, I sent a letter to the king of Hashel and your parents.”
“Huh?”

“Eh, I hadn’t told you? I wrote a letter of goodwill to the king and your family and they consented to you being here. The king said he would take it as lending us a knight and noble to help develop Priden, and your family said they would lend us a lady.”
“Then there…would be no problem if I visited Hashel again?”
“They won’t say anything. And even if there was a problem, you can call me immediately.”

Schenna plopped back on her seat as if the strength had left her legs.
She could go back to her homeland.
And she wanted to apologize to her parents for leaving without saying anything.
She wanted to show them she was doing well.
Tell them about the friends she met in Priden.

Hit with that unexpected news in an unexpected place, Schenna was overwhelmed with different feelings and was unable to hold her tears back.
