The forerunner group going through the event dungeon was stationed in front of a boss room. There were only two days of the event left, so a large group had gathered to get through everything before it ended. Crim’s guild, Lua Cheia, had also joined them.

“Oh, I see Lan Canglong is also going to join us today.”
“Yes. That damn tuna(?) beat us up good, and we have to reclaim our honor.”

Shao said that with a lighthearted tone as he shook Crim’s hand. Then, Crim went to greet Sorleon, who was leading the whole group.

“I do apologize for mine tardiness, yet we of Lua Cheia shall likewise lend thee our aid in battle.”
“Ah, I appreciate your help, and…”

Sorleon let out a sigh and began massaging his temples like he was holding back a headache, and then pointed behind Crim.

“So…well, what is that cute thing that keeps absorbing attention?”
“Ahh…”

Sorleon pointed at something while staring intently at it…

✦✧✦✧✦

“Th-That’s so adorable. It’s a fairy! Rouge, just how much do you intend to seduce me…?!”
“Huh? Ah…umm…I’m sorry…?”

Ernesta from Nord Glacier looked with feverish eyes at the 30cm tall figure flying around with small translucent wings. Behind her, many of the other female participants were in a similar situation.

Rouge had used her morphing abilities to shrink down into that form to avoid getting in the view of everyone during the fight.

In front of her were Hina and Lyco, who were in their usual primordial form, wagging their stubby limbs trying to push the crowd away before Rouge felt too overwhelmed.

Also…the only reason why there were no males in that crowd was because they were watching from a distance, as Crim had warned them, “Dare not lay so much as a single finger upon mine sister, else shall I rend thee asunder!”

“I feel like you’re less numerous than usual though, Lua Cheia, are you really ready?”
“Yes…regrettably some of our members are working adults and couldn’t make it, but they left a large number of potions for us.”

Sara and Jade had been on vacation until recently, but they had to go back to work that day and could not play. So instead, they had left a large number of powerful potions in the base camp’s shared item box, together with a note saying, “Sorry everyone, feel free to take all the potions. We really wish we could’ve played with all of you.”

Those two had been gathering materials while Crim and the rest were offline to prepare all of that, so Crim sent them a note thanking them and gladly shared the potions with the rest of the group.

“Well then… we’re all gathered now. Everyone, we’ll do one last check to confirm each of our assignments.” When Sorleon addressed everyone there, all the players began moving.

Seeing that, Rouge flew around Crim’s shoulder and nervously raised her voice.

“Ummm…Good luck everyone!” Rouge clenched her fists in front of her chests to muster all the courage she could to cheer on the players. Next to her, Hina and Lyco also acted like cheerleaders.

Those two might not like changing shape too much, but they’re oddly skilled in other ways…!

Crim was impressed by the growth of the two Doppelgangers, which were developing in a different way from Rouge, but the players who were getting ready for battle…

“…Did you hear that everyone? The adorable fairy is cheering for us!!”
“ “ “YEAHHH!!” ” ”
“Can we really call ourselves men if we disappoint her?!”
“ “ “NOO!!!” ” ”
“Then what are we going to do with all the enemies standing in our way?!”
“ “ “We’ll kill them! We’ll kill them!! We’ll kill themm!!!” ” ”

The war cries of the players became much louder in an instant, filled with a newfound vigor. All of that noise frightened Rouge, who quickly slipped into Crim’s chest pocket to hide.

“Hiee…”
“At…at least they’re on our side…right?”
“Ahahahah, I mean, this is actually really cool.”

Even Crim and Sorleon felt taken aback by that reaction, but Shao seemed to be on board with all of that. The members of the guilds led by the three Demon Lords were the only ones who remained composed, while all other players continued getting hyped up.

✦✧✦✧✦

And so, invigorated by the cheering of a cute fairy, the players became determined to plow through the dungeon and that momentum continued until the final boss’ arena was in front of them.

The trigger of it all, Rouge, was dubbed the Goddess (Fairy) of Victory…but that was a story for another time.

Afterword:
