A day passed after they welcomed the blonde ninja girl Setsuna as a new guild member.

“Well then…are you sure about this, Frey?”
“Yes, please start the stream, Ryunosuke.”

With that confirmation, a Magius Orb took off next to Ryunosuke, and once in position, a small red light turned on. Then, taking a deep breath to reassure himself, Frey stepped into frame.

“Adyyja. You thought Crim would greet you? Too bad, it’s me this time.”

Comment: Adyy…wait, where is she?

Comment: F off he-elf!

Comment: Wait who’s that blonde girl? I’ve never seen her before

Comment: boooo, get out!

Comment: A ninja?! How?!

The viewers were considerably miffed at being greeted by someone contrary to their expectations. But it did not take long for them to take notice of the kunoichi dashing around in the background.

Frey remained unfazed to the torrent of derisive comments, readjusting the position of his glasses before raising his voice again.

“Hmph, you think I didn’t know you’d react this way? But tough luck, our Guild Master is completely useless right now, so I had no choice but to step in.”

He turned around, pointing to a hectic scene behind him. And there…

“That’s it! I’m doneeee! I want to go back to Castle Seyfert!!”
“C-Calm down Crim, that was just the first wave, can you try for a bit longer?”
“No! I’ve had it with these rotting bodies and skeletons! Just get them out of my sighttt!!”

Someone was crying loudly, making a huge scene ravaged with destruction, while zombies that could only muster guttural groans and whimpers clamored in pain.

The camera panned that way, revealing a multitude of figures piled up, with streaks of blood spraying everywhere. That was the only sign that Crim was there, surrounded by undead enemies and bawling her eyes out while frantically fighting them off.

Comment: Aw man, she’s really crying this time lol

Comment: Finally I can hear her scream

Comment: I guess she really doesn’t like anything horror related…

Comment: But wait, isn’t she supposed to be a vampire?

Comment: And it’s the enemies that are actually suffering lol

As soon as the viewers noticed Crim’s state, they regressed to their usual antics. Frey nodded to himself seeing that things were back on track, and he returned to the frontlines in Galardia Bridge.

◇◇◇

The remote southwest of the continent was a rugged region dominated by towering mountains. At its heart lay Lake Galardia, a nearly perfect circular crater now filled with water, serving as the only viable route through the area.

Spanning the lake was Galardia Bridge, an enormous stone structure stretching from the northeastern shore to the southwestern edge. Garland Citadel stood at the midpoint of the bridge, a once-formidable stronghold.

Currently, Frey and the rest of Lua Cheia were on the northeastern side of the bridge.

The mountains surrounding them were covered in a blanket of white snow, and the lake’s surface was calm like a mirror reflecting the azure sky above, creating a scene filled with natural beauty…except for the enormous bridge built by the ancient empire, spanning across the lake, being around 100 meters wide, and 20 kilometers long.

It was also a double decker bridge, with the top lane once meant to be an uninterrupted long stretch for carriages to go through, but after so many ages of disrepair, there were plenty of cave-ins and it was difficult to get through it without falling down.

That was why Frey and the others were forced to march through the lower deck, a cramped passage lined with living quarters built into the bridge itself. Many of those rooms had fallen into ruin, and rubble from the upper deck was scattered throughout the path.

But that also meant…

“aaGHHAAAHHhhhggg….”
“hum…ANs…ghhaaahhhh…”

…That there were ghastly moans echoing from everywhere as the zombies that now inhabited those buildings came out to attack the living.

“…As you can see, we’re currently moving into the southwestern region that has remained unclaimed for so long. But as Crim doesn’t have the mental fortitude for this, you’ll have to compromise and accept me as your main host.”

Comment: Okayyy

Comment: So it’s actually happening…and it looks so beautiful there

Comment: If you don’t count the zombies creeping out everywhere

Comment: It reminds me of the very first Resident Evil from way back when

Comment: But I like that we can hear the Ditzy Lord’s screams so much

Frey tried to explain the current situation to the viewers, and he let out a sigh of relief seeing that they seemed to understand for the most part.

“Having said that… We don’t really have anything to do…”
“Ahaha…yeahh, Crim just blindly slaughters anything that moves around here.”

Frey and Lycoris chatted as they walked ahead, while Kasumi followed behind, spinning her weapon in boredom since there was nothing threatening the rear guard.

This was just a regular overworld area, so the enemies felt rather easy to defeat, especially when compared to the unbalanced hell that R’lyeh had been. On top of that, Lua Cheia had delayed visiting that area for so long that all the members had essentially become overleveled for the area.

But that was not the only reason why Frey and the rest could sit back and take things easy…

“kill…me…end this…”
“Shut up and never come bacckkkK!!”
“What…what did we ever do…”
“I don’t give a damn, just get out of my sightt!!”

Even as the undead seemed completely dispirited as they stepped forward, Crim continued screaming amidst tears at them, cutting off their heads as soon as she could.

Crim’s friends, and the viewers, watched in shock as Crim mowed down the enemies, though in her mind, she was at the end of her rope.

“Incredible, she turned her aversion to zombies into motivation to kill them on sight.”
“Yeah, I’m just glad she got the motivation to move forward, considering how much she delayed coming here, now we just need to…hm?”

The rear guard was talking carelessly as they followed the rest forward, when Crim’s cries suddenly stopped. She had just used a spell to lift a zombie up in the air, not wanting to touch it herself, and then…

“Ahh, now I get it…I just noticed. I just need to kill and slaughter everything here, then I won’t have to be afraid of anything… Isn’t that right?”
“Ah…Crim? Are you okay?”

Muttering that, her eyes devoid of emotion or sanity, she reached toward the zombie restrained by Hanging Wing. A sickening crack of bones echoed through the air, followed by a black bar censoring the zombie’s face, too grotesque to show, before its body collapsed limply to the ground.

“Hehh…ahahah, AHAHAHAHAH!!”
“Crim? Everything alright ma’am?”

The zombie’s body turned to ash and vanished as Crim watched it like a pig in a slaughterhouse, before breaking into an eerie cackling that made her shoulders shake.

Frey was so taken aback that he stammered, with more respect than usual, trying to appease her.

“Heheheh, I knew it… Violence! That’s the solution to all my problems!!”
“Ah, wait, Crim!”

Making a full one eighty from her previous behavior, Crim grinned maniacally as she began cutting down the zombies and kicking the skeletons all over the bridge, and the rest of the guild had to run after her.

Comment: She actually snapped lmao

Comment: I guess her sanity got too low lol

Comment: I don’t think she even knows what she’s doing!

The viewers were enjoying that very much, laughing heartily. Meanwhile, Crim was no longer thinking rationally, and the undead could only succumb to their gory fate that day.
