Eru. A sweet, agreeable, yet gentle girl, was met with fervor in her birthday banquet. A few boys that I think are handsome turned as red as tomato when Eru approached and strike up a conversation with them. The head families of these boys naturally was glad to see this happen. Even if you ignore the capital the Chitanda family own, Eru herself was a textbook example of a good wife.

“Eru, Eru, someone said that your cape and dress don’t go together.”

“You are the reason I put on the cape in the first place!”

After finally breaking out of the crowd, the sisters sat down and chat in whispers. The embarrassed Eru stealthily extended her hands to Kana’s waist. Eru hated to use force anyway, so Kana was tickled instead.

In the makeup room, Eru had saw her sister’s wretched face. She gave her an inch, and Kana instead took a mile. Kana suckled on Eru’s collarbone and didn’t let go for a long time. Eru had no choice but to conceal the lip mark on her shoulder.

‘I have made my mark in a place you can’t even see!’ Kana thought as she looked at the blokes that failed to court Eru. In her head, a certain fantasy was playing.

“I will go look for Grandfather for a second. Would you like to go with me?” Eru pointed at where our grandfather were at in the venue.

Kana shook her head, “No, you can go alone.”

Their grandfather’s name is Chitanda Kousuke. He has already retired from Chitanda’s family business empire, and is not a part of the board anymore. Now, he is retired and live in Nagoya city. Although she called him Grandfather, Kana was very unfamiliar with him. This wasn’t odd, as the main reason was the sparse interaction between Kousuke with Yukihiko, her father, that he almost never visit him. Since he was as good as a stranger, Kana naturally didn’t have the desire to meet him.

Eru understood Kana’s way of thinking, so without effort, after fetching Kana some snacks and drink, and a place to settle down, she went alone to Kousuke’s spot.

While Kana was lost in thought, her butt was suddenly slapped very hard.

“C̲u̲n̲t̲, what were you thinking about?”

Kana nodded along, “Renting it was definitely very cheap.”

“You already rented it out?”

“Yes.”

“Then why come to me!”

Ako held Kana’s chin with her index finger, “I just want to know if C̲u̲n̲t̲ have a better way to solve it.”

“Idiot,” Kana harshly removed her hand.

Ako giggled, not perturbed in the slightest, “Now, the plan should be advancing to its stage two. Walk with me a little,” Ako pulled Kana along with her.

Baffled, Kana was brought to a small guest room outside of the venue. Inside, a few girls are chatting, amongst them, Kana recognized the oldest woman in the room with grizzled hair. She is Eru’s piano teacher, Takimoto Kiyoko. Kana scrutinize the other girls’ outfit, and figured that they looked like office lady, but Kana also have never seen anything like them before.

Seeing that Ako have arrived, the giggles in the room fell silent, and each of them call out to Kana.

“Madam Chitanda.”

“Mrs. Chitanda.¹”

“……”

“Nice to meet you, Takimoto-sensei,” Kana bowed slightly.

Kana called her such because she had studied the piano with Eru under her tutelage when she was in elementary school. Although, Kana only studied for a few days, having not a shred of talent in music, so Kana isn’t considered a good student.

“This one here is Takimoto-sensei’s granddaughter, Takimoto Hifumi. Takimoto-san is a character designer for the Eagle Jump video game company.”

“And this one is Eagle Jump’s game director, Shizuku Hazuki.”

“And this one is Eagle Jump’s Assistant Director, Toyama Rin.²”

Ako introduced them one by one, and while she was doing that, Kana figured out Ako’s intention. This is about Kamigaito Mountain Range tourism plan’s second stage, about cultural theme.

When Kana was touring China in her previous life, Kana felt like making fun of the fact that there will always be a statue of fishing Jiang Taigong³ if there’s water in any scenic area. Well, whether Jiang Taigong really love fishing is a cultural debate for another day.

So, for the peach mountain⁴ and the Arakusu shrine, she have chosen a theme, which is “Touhou Project”⁵.

Disney Entertainment is at the pinnacle of companies that can wield its IP to the utmost extend. Not only animation, it is a set of companies that also make Disney wristwatch, Disney accessories, Disney princess dress for little girls, Disney bag, Disney house furniture, Disney plushy, Disney electronics, so on and so forth, and we haven’t mention the most acclaimed Disneyland.

However, compared to Disney, Shanghai Alice is a sore loser in this aspect. Touhou, despite being a name as big as it is, doesn’t even have a theme park of its own⁶.

“Madam, our company is very confident that we can create Touhou-themed game. The popularity of our previous work, “Fairies Story”, are indisputable among character design nor music enthusiasts…” Shizuku Hazuki sincerely trying to sell themselves. She had to, since Eagle Jump’s business is currently sluggish. “Touhou Project”, despite being a series of games, it isn’t too hard to produce. The Chitanda family is flush with cash, and it is simply a place to make quick money so easily that it should be illegal. If Eagle Jump make itself stand out, then there are a lot of other companies willing to take the deal.

“No,” Kana suddenly said, “Touhou and Fairies Story are different.”

Shizuku Hazuki was cut off. She thought that she was going to negotiate with Ako, so she didn’t pay too much attention to Kana’s presence. After blanking for a moment, she then amicably and confidently explained, “Fairies Story’s production difficulty must be higher than Touhou series’.”

Fairies Story is a standard Japanese-style RPG, with a lot of characters, complex terrain, and on top of that, 3D. Compared to that, in the plan that Ako is executing, Touhou series is merely a 2D bullet hell shoot ’em up video game. Maybe there needs to be some attention towards the character design and music production.

“That’s not what I meant,” Kana shook her head, “Touhou series is a mobile game.”

“Mobile game?”

“Yes, mobile game is the future.”
