After completing the interrogation, everyone gathered in the palace’s meeting room. They needed to discuss what to do next.
There had also been an interrogation of Eagle after Garroba, but he did not know nearly as much as Garroba, so it was not very fruitful.
All they learned was that Garroba was his master, that Jorg was his fellow pupil, and that there were other pupils like him.

“Okay, what should we do then?”

Alma started the meeting.
They had just obtained a large amount of information, so they needed to move in strides.
First they needed to capture the remaining leaders, Ignaz and August, as well as fully exposing all of Ira Muerte to the public.
That would likely become a similar incident to Chimera Clauzen, given their size and reach.
But before that, there was something more important.
That mysterious boss who stood above all four leaders.

“For now I guess the best method would be to capture the other two leaders.”

If everything Garroba said was true, then that main base, used by Ira Muerte’s boss, was located on some island in the ocean.
Its exact position was still a mystery.
Still, there was more to go off, as further questioning revealed some possibilities.

As it turned out, Garroba and the other leaders did not trust their boss very much.
Since the boss never said much of anything, and seemed to have a different goal for the organization, the four leaders became distrustful.
So they hatched a plan to storm the hideout of their boss.

In secret, they began developing a device that would track the boss’ calls, pinpointing where they came from.
But since they did not want the boss to find out, or to stop one of the leaders from becoming rash and going there ahead of time, they built it in four parts, which needed to be used at the same time.
In other words, all four leaders had to be in accord to reach their boss.

“I think so too. Once we have them, Kagura’s spell will make them tell us where the devices are hidden.”
“Yes, that sounds like the best option.”

Noin and Esmeralda agreed with Mira’s plan.
They really wanted to know more about that boss, but nothing in their hands helped with that.
Just searching for it was impossible too, considering the vast size of the ocean, and they had no heading at all.
All they could do was hope Garroba’s device would point in the right direction.

“Well, I guess that’s our only option either way.”

Kagura also nodded in agreement. That device was the final key to fully conquer all of Ira Muerte.
With all of them on the same page, they moved onto the next topic.

“We also need to discuss how we’ll retrieve Garroba and Duke Trulli’s devices.”

First they had to obtain the keys to unlock Ira Muerte’s main base, the four devices. Especially those from the leaders that had already been captured.
Garroba’s was easy enough. He had told them where to search during the interrogation.

“I can easily go pick that one up. It’ll take no time if I send Piisuke.”

Kagura volunteered to get Garroba’s.
His main base was located in an archipelago to the east of Nirvana. They had the precise location, and with Piisuke’s speed it would take less than a day to get there.

“Thank you, Kagura. We’ll let you handle that then.”

They quickly settled on a plan.
Next came Duke Trulli’s device, which would be more complicated.
He knew its hiding place, but he was in prison. And because of that, all of his property and belongings had been seized by Grimdart.
That made it far more complicated than just sending Piisuke and retrieving it.

“They’re a very stubborn country…but I’ll see if I can manage something.”

Alma decided she would try negotiating something with them, but sighed just thinking about it.
There was a good reason for that reaction. She basically would be asking a foreign country to hand over the possessions of their duke, possessions with ties to the criminal organization Ira Muerte.

The response to such a request was obvious to Alma. There was even a possibility they had already destroyed all of it, as it would gloss over the extent of their duke’s crimes.

It would be better to deal with them as soon as possible, but Alma could not get herself to promise a positive outcome, merely saying she would do her best to handle it.

“As for the remaining two, capturing them comes first.”

The next topic were the other two leaders, Ignaz and August, who needed to be captured first.
Ignaz was especially problematic.

“They have enough members to be an army, so it won’t be as easy as crushing a bandit band. How should we deal with them…”

Noin frowned as he thought about that, realizing how complicated of an issue it was.
Hunting down a large bandit band with thousands of members required a sizable army, and plenty of preparations to stop any remnants from running away.

With numbers like those, if some evaded capture and scattered to neighboring areas, they would be even more difficult to deal with, even if Ignaz fell captive.
Mira’s specialty were numbers, and with Noin there they could likely break through and grab Ignaz. But a complete takeover would still require more firepower.
