When Kou got home, she was once again told by her parents that they would arrive late and to not worry about preparing dinner for them, something that still irked her, and after she had dinner alone…

“I see, so you also got a bunch of messages like that.”
*”Yup, and if we sum the number of players we got, we might not hit the limit but I’m guessing it’ll be enough?”*

…Now she was on a call with Haru, discussing the result of their recruitment post.

Kou had been left bewildered the moment she saw her inbox bursting with messages from players who wanted to take part in the Legion Raid, but had managed to calm down by now, and was counting how many there were together with Haru.

“Still…that result is pretty odd, isn’t it?”
*”Mhmm, I didn’t think there’d be such a stark difference.”*

They mentioned that while they checked where the participating guilds were located.
Despite the staggering number of applicants…there were next to none from the Starting City Wyndham and its surroundings, neither guilds nor solo players.

“I know Jade is investigating what’s happening there, but it’s starting to bother me too.”

There were more issues in the game beyond the fight they were getting ready for.
She sighed, wishing for just a moment that she could go back to being a regular player, a thought that sometimes took over her. But this was the path she had chosen for herself, and there were more important things to do than to wallow in her personal emotions.

“Either way, we should consider ourselves lucky that we’ve gathered so many people already.”

The Legion Raid had a limit of 500 participants, and currently they had gathered around 380 people. The actual number would likely increase or decrease a bit with time, but even in the best case scenario, they would only get to around 80~90% of the limit.

*”Oh well. There’s also the fact that it’s an area of the continent that only became accessible recently. There’s only so many players who can make the trek there, and there isn’t much incentive for them either, so this is still a really good outcome.”*
“Now we just have to figure out our battleplan…”

Saying that, Kou opened some map data.
It was a valuable map depicting all of Weisswald, entrusted to her by the queen.

It also showed the position of the defensive Harunia trees, with a few of them marked red, as they were the oldest trees and provided a barrier to Floria.

There were a total of eight such trees, and if one of them was destroyed, the barrier would shatter and Floria would become vulnerable to an enemy invasion.
Because of that, the younger Harunia trees around the older ones created a smaller barrier to protect each individual tree.

If all the smaller trees were destroyed, the older ones would become vulnerable, so the main priority was to keep the trees safe.

*”I’m sorry Mitsuki, I don’t know anything about strategy and all that, so I’ll just let you do all the heavy lifting.”*
“Don’t worry about it, I actually enjoy figuring this kind of thing out.”

Haru apologized for not being able to do more, but Kou told her that it was fine while marking good defensive spots in the map.
That went on for a while longer, with the two talking about various things.

*”Sister, the bath’s ready!”*
“Oh, it’s already so late?”

Then suddenly she received a message from Rouge, who had taken over managing the home control systems. Time had passed in the blink of an eye and it was already 8pm.

*”Ah, sorry for keeping you for so long. I should also go take a bath, so we’ll continue later. Can I drop by your castle for that?”*
“Yes, of course. I’ll go there around 9pm as well then. Rouge, can you go tell Adonis to be ready to receive a guest soon?”
*”Okayyy!”*

Rouge gave an energetic response as she disappeared and went into DUO. Kou watched her off, then opened the messaging app of her NLD and wrote to a familiar address, before getting ready to take her bath.

“Now then… We probably should have an internal meeting to discuss our general plan before a full blown strategy meeting with all the other guilds, so I’ll contact Subaru for now.”

*…If you have the time after dinner and bathing, come to Castle Seyfert to discuss some things.*

After sending a short message to Subaru, Kou went to pick a change of clothes and then headed downstairs to the bathroom.
