Being cut… Honestly, it didn’t hurt or itch at all. Instead, my body felt heavier, and it was as if something important was slipping away from me.

“Master Finis! What are you doing?!”

Lullus screamed angrily.

(Ah, right. She probably doesn’t know what I asked God.)

“It’s okay. I’m alive and well. See?”

I waved to show Lullus I was perfectly fine. Then Zygos spoke, “You seem pretty calm.”

The princess and her attendant were speechless.

“Of course I am. I’m no longer a target now, am I?”
“True. But I’m still going to deal with the people you were protecting.”
“I’d prefer if you didn’t.”
“Can you stop me? Be my guest.”
“Very well. I will stop you, then.”

I reached out and grabbed the world-defying greatsword he had raised—
being careful not to break it. I had no intention of letting him kill Princess Topersion, but I also didn’t feel the need to stop Zygos myself.

Even without that sword, he could probably still kill a lot of people. But maybe that sword was meant for that very purpose.

“Your stats and skills should be all gone, right?”
“Correct. All aspects of this world have been erased from me. I’m no longer this world’s Demigod.”
“Then how can you grab this sword?”
“Simple. The moment I ceased to be a Demigod, I wished to be made a proper god. You asked God for a favor, too, didn’t you, Zygos? I just did something similar.”

Honestly, I only made that wish to watch the world collapse up close—but I didn’t expect things to unfold like this. Once I’d met Zygos, I had started considering it as a possibility. Lullus was looking at me as if she wanted to say something.

I wasn’t really sure what kind of god I had become—if I had truly changed at all. There was even a chance I had become a god who couldn’t remain in this world. In that sense, Lullus’ protecting me wasn’t meaningless.

I was sure God would tell me what kind of god I was later. For now, I turned back to Zygos.

“So, would you mind retreating?”
“That would probably be best. At this point, it’s clear I can’t win no matter what I try.”
“You’re surprisingly obedient all of a sudden.”
“No point fighting a battle I know I’ll lose.”

With that, Zygos sheathed his greatsword. I thought maybe he’d fake it and attack again—but no, he really did stop. That was a little anticlimactic. Then again, the only reason he even started this fight was because he thought he could win.

“By the way, on your way here, you should have passed what used to be a kingdom. What happened to it?” I asked him.
“I left it alone. I figured I could conquer it whenever, so it wasn’t a priority.”
“Glad to hear that. I’ll be heading there now, so I’d appreciate it if you went elsewhere. I suggest the East.”
“Is that a threat to make me go East?”
“No, it’s a threat not to come in my direction.”

Fumitsuki and Fujiwara were to the west, but Zygos probably wouldn’t kill them—and honestly, I wasn’t that inclined to help them either. As long as he didn’t come to what used to be Fraus, I didn’t care. The former elf king was to the east, too.

“Fine by me. I’ll head east then. See you around, Demigod Missy.”
“I just became a God, you know.”
“Ah, that’s right. Well then, see you around, God.”
“See you around, Zygos. Enjoy what little is left of your Demon Lord life.”

He would probably lose his memories and return to his original world eventually.

As I watched Zygos head east, I was about to reach out to God for answers when a voice called out behind me. It was Princess Topersion, whom I had sort of forgotten.

“What exactly do you mean by ‘what used to be a kingdom’?”
“It’s faster to see it for yourself. Would you like me to take you there?”
“Yes. As soon as possible, please.”

She hesitated for a moment, then nodded as if making up her mind. Whatever she was thinking—whatever conclusion she had come to—I would see it for myself once we arrived at what used to be Fraus. That said, I wondered if I was even allowed to use my power within the world.

If not, God would probably stop me—so I guessed I was okay.

I didn’t know exactly what kind of god I had become, but I had a general sense of what I could do. For instance, teleportation or spatial movement didn’t seem to be in the cards, so I was probably not a god of time or space. I was also not a god of creation, either. If anything, it felt like the opposite. But calling myself a god of destruction didn’t seem quite right either.

Anyway, I still needed to get Princess Topersion and her attendant to their destination. Flying seemed to be my only viable option. It was not a unique power to me—any god could probably do it. I could guarantee their safety, but I had no idea how they would feel experiencing flight for the first time.

I just hoped they didn’t get sick from the sensation of floating.

“Well then… I wish you a fitting end.”

I waved and sent the last royalty of Fraus to her execution grounds. At the same time, the earth shook. The tremors were strong enough that most people probably couldn’t stay standing, though I was fine.

Actually, I wasn’t sure if I could even call that an earthquake. The ground had cracked—more like a cliff had formed than a simple crack. The earth broke, and if I hadn’t jumped, I might’ve fallen right in.

(It didn’t crack because I was standing here, did it?)

“Looks like this world is really nearing its end.”
“It does. You’ve been wanting to say something, haven’t you, Lullus?”
“I had something on my mind, yes. But I think it doesn’t matter anymore.”
“I see. Well then, shall we go witness the conclusion? But first—I should probably ask God if it’s okay for me to remain in this world.”

And so, I reached out…
