Fraus’ fall was sudden. Very sudden. The royals’ heads fell one after the other. The only one left was Princess Topersion, but she wouldn’t be back until the war with the Nigel Kingdom was over.

If she got wind of the information, she would likely try to come back as soon as possible, but Megi and Monobe’s subordinates worked to prevent that from happening. Rather than trying to capture the princess now, they chose to eliminate any uncertainty and secure their victory. After all, once the kingdom fell, capturing Topersion wouldn’t be all that hard. Given her personality, it was unlikely that she would try to run.

And that is how the case of Fraus ended.

“It’s time to go to Nigel.”
“Okay.”

After that exchange, Lullus and I headed to the Nigel Kingdom. I’d witnessed the end of another kingdom. Though this time it met its end in a completely different way from Viridis and Rubel. Although Fraus’ end wasn’t directly tied to the collapse of the world, it felt as if the idea alone had impacted it. Speaking of the collapse, I couldn’t just remove myself from the equation.

While I wasn’t the one causing the collapse, I had casually appeared just as it had begun. If this continued, then it wouldn’t be strange if the collapse was blamed on me. Whereas it was the other way around. I had to act because the collapse was already happening.

But maybe it was time for me to start acting as if I were the cause. Besides, since the world was going to collapse either way, there wouldn’t be anyone to remember me. And if there was someone to remember me, then it would be the people who were forcefully summoned to a world on the brink of collapse with their memories intact. Those who’d suffered a truly hellish experience.
