Get Nagatsuki and Ame hitched. I don’t plan on giving all-out support, and this is a matter between the two of them to begin with. I also have to consider the risk of ruining our relationship if I go too far.

“Ame, are you interested in Japanese bands?”
“I sure am. See, I actually like bands like EXIST.”
“Who cares about those fools? To tell the truth, I actually have a concert ticket, but I can’t go see it.”
“So you want me to go in your place?”
“The band members are all old men, though.”
“In music, an artist’s age is nothing! The important thing is whether it matches your music preference.”

She likely has never heard their songs before. While they are relatively famous, that’s only within Japan. However, I’d rather not have Ame be alone at a concert. Some annoying people will definitely try picking her up.

“It’ll be worrying to have you go alone, so I’ll have an acquaintance go along with you, one that’s a perfect pick for a bodyguard.”
“Well, annoying people are going to approach me if I’m alone anyway. So who is this person?”
“Nagatsuki.”
“You’re about the only person who would casually assign a twelve family member to be my bodyguard, you know?”

Honestly speaking, the only male I can introduce who can protect her is pretty much Nagatsuki. After all, I can’t really ask my bodyguards to be with her.

“He’s not a bad guy, and having a guy along does go a long way in terms of protection. No idea if he’s strong or not, though.”
“Just being with a man is enough of a deterrent for trouble. So, this Nagatsuki…? What kind of person is he?”
“Ah, he’s a cowa-… No, he’s the person who sat in front of me at the cafe today.”

In the end, Nagatsuki wasn’t able to say a word to her back at the cafe. And because of that, it seems like he didn’t leave much of an impression. Frankly, she might remember the younger brother more since he said his thanks for the meal.

“What did he look like again?”
“If he didn’t leave any impression, I think it’s fine. Just know that he is a good person.”

Between good and evil, he’d definitely be good. Meanwhile, I’m chaos. If they go to a concert together, that should leave her with some impression of him. It’ll depend on Nagatsuki’s efforts.

“Incidentally, what’s the reason you can’t go? Since you have a ticket, then you must like the band, right?”
“The ticket was a gift. And while I personally do want to be there listening with the audience, I really can’t do that.”
“Why is that?”
“Because I’m appearing as a guest.”

Just a thought, but is it really alright for me to be able to collaborate so easily when I’m in a different agency? It’s ominous how weirdly cooperative Sherry’s agency is. Does she have something planned for me later?

“So that’s why you were practicing with your instrument recently.”
“This time, I was requested to be a bassist. Since it was summer break and ‘I should have free time,’ I couldn’t refuse.”

Why did Ame just casually accept that I’m joining the concert like it’s normal? Lately, Kaori has been acting in a similar way too. I’m a high schooler, you know? A normal high school girl.

“You have a really hectic schedule, huh.”
“All thanks to a certain someone.”

Had Ani not sang with Sherry at the graduation, my first contract would have still been valid. Since he broke the contract himself, the condition of not being an active artist while still in high school is now invalid.

“So, what’s your decision?”
“I guess I’ll try going. I am curious about how concerts in Japan are, and I want to see your dazzling performance too.”
“Just a reminder, I’m going to be in a costume.”

Ame probably doesn’t think that I’d go on stage with a box on my head. I’ll keep this a secret until the concert day. Since it’ll be funnier that way. Unknown and the box are inseparable.

“In that case, I’ll inform Nagatsuki about this.”
“I’m going to take a bath now~”

All said and done, Ame’s part-time work is also going well. She is quite sociable to begin with, so she has good compatibility with service work. She seems to enjoy it as well, so that’s nice.

‘Ame is going to a certain band’s concert; are you coming along?’
‘That’s too sudden!’

I can imagine his panic. Still, chances come abruptly. What makes the difference is how you make the best of it.

‘I’m just providing you an opportunity here.’
‘I’m not mentally prepared yet.’
‘And miss this opportunity? If you can’t go, I’ll introduce her to some other guy.’
‘Please don’t!’

The only other person I can think of is Kyouske. As for Hadzuki… I don’t know. I feel like they’d be incompatible. With Ame being honest and Hadzuki being leery, they might not be able to hold a proper conversation.

‘Show your resolve. This is the most help I can give you.’
‘Isn’t there, like, smaller steps we need to go through?’
‘If you continue being wishy-washy, summer break’s going to end in no time and Ame will be on her way home. When that happens, you might not ever see her again.’

It is possible that she might come during winter too, but the chances are low. I can’t even guarantee that she’ll come next year. If Nagatsuki and Ame don’t become close enough this time, they might never have another chance again.

‘Ame’s going to be gone if you take your sweet time.’
‘I-I get it already. I’m going to be prepared by the time of the concert!’

There isn’t much time before it. It’s on Saturday this week, so four days after. I need to practice until then, too. If I were to perform with the people in Ani’s memories, I probably wouldn’t compare even with serious effort.

‘Still, Kisaragi. Why are you so cooperative this time?’
‘A friend of mine is in love; I’ll at least help out, you know?’
‘We’re friends?’
‘If we aren’t, then I’m taking everything back. ‘
‘That’s right! We are friends!’

We’ve been acquaintances for a while now, and he has been to my room, so it’s not wrong to call him a friend. Considering our initial relationship, we really changed a lot. It was mostly because of Ani being weird, though.

‘From my image of you, you would probably have started with a serious relationship and progressed the relationship gradually.’
‘I wanted it to be that way too, but there’s a time limit, right?’
‘Then you need to at least build a friendship with her.’

While the goal is to end up as lovers, there’s no telling if they can progress that far within the course of summer. As I said previously, that will depend on their emotions.

‘I just sent you the date, schedule, and venue. Ame isn’t familiar with the land, so escort her properly.’
‘I’ve been doing simulations, so that shouldn’t be an issue.’
‘Just so you know, I won’t be able to watch over it, so don’t think you’ll get any backup.’
‘Eh? For real?’

Did he honestly expect support from me? No, did he not think that they’d actually be alone together? So he thought that the three of us would be watching the concert together.

‘It’s a date, after all. Regardless if Ame sees it or not.’
‘D-date!?’

If I were asked if an outing between two friends of the opposite sex can be considered a date, I’d say no. I’m just saying this to light a fire under Nagatsuki.

‘I don’t have many cards in my hand, so take every chance you can get.’
‘I’m honestly grateful for the help. But I’m not sure if my heart can endure the anxiety.’
‘Don’t die because of love, okay?’

So there’s a chance that he’d be bed-bound due to heartbreak, huh. For Nagatsuki, I feel like he won’t get over it for a long time. After summer break, if the student council’s work gets stagnant, Kirigamine might complain to me, and I’d hate that.

‘If there’s any change, I’ll contact you. For now, come to the cafe tomorrow. We’ll have your introduction and I’ll hand over the tickets.’
‘Understood. I’ll be there at opening time.’

He has the initiative, but for some reason, his emotions can’t catch up to it. Frankly, I feel like he’s even worse than the president. When push came to shove, he continued courting on his own.

That ends the call. I’ll leave the rest to Nagatsuki. I don’t have the leeway to worry about others. I’m going to perform in front of a live audience with a box on my head. There’s no way I’m not nervous.
