The original concept for this novel was simple:

A story where every female character—except the protagonist—is a genderbent girl.

Then some interesting or hehehe events would unfold.

It was purely written for fun.

But when I actually started writing, a lot more female characters showed up than expected—like Xiaohaitang and the Biyang Girls Academy girls.

That’s when I realized…

A world with only men simply doesn’t work!

I’m well aware that my writing isn’t exactly top-tier, so some characters probably didn’t come across clearly—or worse, maybe they came out completely off the rails.

So, let me use this afterword to briefly go over their character settings, just to see if they align with how you imagined them while reading.

Protagonist: Chang Kai 常凯

(Translator’s addition: a.k.a Chang Lingmeng 常灵梦)

He’s your average otaku—nothing particularly special about him.

Aside from owning the notebook, his only real superpower is… being ridiculously pretty. And honestly, it’s a huge pain for him.

His defining trait? Being an absolute coward.

Yes, that means timid, weak, and a bit of a cheapskate.

If you find these traits too lame for a male protagonist, just think of him as a female lead instead. That way, he’ll seem at least somewhat pitiful and easier to accept.

Oh, and by the way—

His "Dream Limited Girl" persona, Chang Kaizi, has the biggest bust in the entire series.

I swear—there will never be a character with a larger bust than her!

Can’t reveal too much about future plot points, but you might want to look forward to Chang Kaizi appearing in real life.

Master Hallelujah 哈利路亚

Catgirl Tangerine 橘子

Originally, in my thousands of words of scrapped draft outline, Tangerine was supposed to be the official main heroine.

After all, as the saying goes—

"A pet is only a small part of your life, but to them, you are their entire world."

So it only made sense that if Tangerine turned into a human, she’d naturally fall in love with the protagonist.

And she was originally meant to be the heroine.

…But writing that plotline turned out to be insanely difficult.

So in the end, she just became a little sister character instead.

A bit of a shame, but because of this, I ended up blurring the concept of a "main heroine."

If we really need to pick one… well, the protagonist can just be his own heroine.

Tangerine’s core charm lies in the contrast between her rough behavior & speech and her pure, kind-hearted nature.

But since her screen time has been a bit limited, I feel like I didn’t showcase that well enough.

Xiao Lei a.k.a. Zhao Zhao 赵蕾(小蕾) a.k.a 赵兆

First, let’s clear up a burning question—Mango or Banana?

Answer: Mango!

Even though she would never admit it, in terms of perversion, she and Zhao Zhao are exactly the same!

Inside and out, she’s just as yellow (h̲o̲r̲n̲y)!

The only difference? Xiao Lei has the restraint and pride of a girl.

Most of the time, she can keep herself under control.

…But as we all know, at night, self-control tends to weaken.

She thinks she’s "not a pervert" just because she doesn’t feel attraction toward female bodies anymore.

But the truth is, that’s only because she turned into a girl.

If a handsome guy appeared, she’d absolutely get flustered and fall for him.

Her attachment to the protagonist?

It all started when his glasses broke—his dazzling charm subconsciously captivated her.

This feeling, mixed with their childhood friendship, gradually evolved into love.

As for Zhao Zhao…

Well, there’s nothing complicated about it.

He’s just a pervy, muscle-loving mountain gorilla.

Haitang 海棠

The strongest character in the series.

Even if Lei Laohu went all out, he’d still lose to her.

A perfect character in every way… except for her chest.

Basically, whenever I need an overpowered flex scene, she’s the one who gets to show off.

For example, if you see her chopping a typhoon in half with an axe, don’t be surprised.

She’s ridiculously violent, but because her parents are literal role-model figures, she has a strong moral compass.

Since the protagonist doesn’t have the power to act cool, all the cool moments go to her instead.

I really want to write a scene where Chang Kaizi meets Haitang in real life…

Bust Size Ranking (From Largest to Smallest):

Chang Kaizi (Absurdly Overpowered) > Tian Xi > Feng Zi (Old Feng) > Xie Yuanyue > Lei Meow Meow > Tangerine > Tian Xi (Male) > Xiao Lei > Lei Luo > Halliluya = Haitang.

Lei Laohu 雷老虎

Sure, he’s a punk, but at least he’s a loyal and sentimental punk.

Technically, he collects "protection fees" because he knows his money won’t last forever.

So, despite being a rich second-generation gang leader, he’s actually trying to figure out ways to make money.

When you think about it that way… doesn’t he actually seem kind of responsible?

He also has a violent streak, but if his parents had been more reliable, maybe—just maybe—he and Xiaohaitang could’ve ended up as allies instead.

Lei Meow Meow 雷喵喵

Her character is designed as a cool-yet-cute idol—so confident that it borders on narcissism.

But ever since she developed her girly side, she’s had zero resistance to cute things (including herself and Lei Loli).

She even secretly poses in front of the mirror while using the bathroom to admire her own cuteness.

Her stage name actually came from a cat agent she saw in a KTV, courtesy of Tangerine’s gang.

Tian Xi 田西>田茜 a.k.a. Mohawk Fatso, lol

This character was never meant to be so likeable.

At first, she was just a genuine villain, a petty, backstabbing scumbag who was supposed to be sacrificed later on.

But then…

After I gave her a pair of **, my affection for her character skyrocketed.

…Yeah, I guess I really am a shallow man.

The next volume will focus on:

Yan Liuzhuan 严流转
Tan Rinka 谭凛花
Wu Qinglan 巫晴岚

And a few silhouette + question mark characters

Now, when you think of summer vacation, what’s the first thing that comes to mind?

Beaches, swimsuits, and volleyball, right?!

Of course, due to certain reasons everyone is well aware of, a certain airhead who seems to be first volume’s main heroine candidate will basically go missing.

Similar to how the author started the book, it was also purely a sudden drive for myself to translate this piece for English readers.

As a native Chinese and English speaker, I’ve been translating documents since forever, mostly formal and factual, with very little connection to literature and cultural references. This is my first time translating a webnovel even though I’ve been consuming them myself daily (certified trash consumer).

Both physical novels and webnovels are great, but webnovels have a different consuming method with the interactions with the publisher and interactions with fellow readers, which is definitely interesting.

I definitely am not the best suited for this job, but considering nobody has translated this webnovel yet, I figured that I might as well give it a try.

My translations are mostly done by ChatGPT, and some of them on DeepSeek, well copy and pasting those are the easy part I guess, then comes the editing part.

Easy sentences are generally fine, some with multiple subjects in the sentences tend to get jumbled up and some extra descriptions or comedic inserts are often omitted by the AI.
I check through all the sentences one by one with the original text, and make changes if deemed necessary. This results in my (not mine) translation having no specific style and sometimes, quite complicated descriptions.

Though the complexity, I don’t blame the machine for having so many difficult words due to the original text being very hard to reference sometimes, Chinese and English cultural nuances are generally quite different.
AI actually helps a lot in the process of translation, and I really need to give credit to them for being able to translate many difficult references accurately, and in a way my non-creative mind is unable to showcase in writing.

The whole process of translating and uploading the novel takes ~1 hour per chapter, and I need to have access to my laptop to be able to do the process smoothly.

Do give suggestions if you readers would want any change in translation style or anything related to reading experience so that you can enjoy the piece comfortably.

My best girl in this novel has not appeared yet, should be quite far in before she has any screen time. Hope I can stay translating till she gets her ultimate happiness.
