Seeing Yaeger open her eyes with a calm expression, Rakshasa sighed in relief, thinking her condition wasn’t too serious.

“Lie down, Rakshasa. I’m going to begin.” Yaeger exhaled softly, her expression turning serious.

Rakshasa nodded and lay down, still unsure of what exactly Princess intended to do. Yet, if Princess didn’t explain, she wouldn’t ask.

Initially, Yaeger hadn’t explained because she wanted to surprise her. But now, she wasn’t sure if she could succeed and feared disappointing her if she mentioned it and failed.

Therefore, she chose to keep silent.

‘Let’s begin with a thorough inspection.’ Yaeger wasn’t entirely confident in the treatment, especially since Rakshasa’s body was so unusual.

‘At first, I thought it was the result of a failed Transcendent awakening, but now it seems more like a failed awakening of a special physique—maybe even the result of a forced awakening.’ Yaeger leaned toward the latter theory.

The reason was simple: it had happened to Rakshasa ten years ago. This suggested that her special physique had awakened prematurely, either through artificial means or environmental factors, but the awakening had failed, leaving her with numerous physical issues.

‘An eight-year-old’s body isn’t fully developed. Awakening powers and a special physique that early is never a good idea.’

After a detailed examination, Yaeger felt a headache coming on. Rakshasa’s condition was far worse than expected—treating her would be at least ten times harder than she had initially anticipated.

‘There are seventy-eight abnormalities in her body. Two energy clumps—one in her heart and another in her womb—are dormant for now, so I can leave them alone.’

“The problem is, with my current medical abilities, these seventy-eight abnormalities…” Yaeger sighed heavily before continuing. “Rakshasa, this is going to hurt a bit, but I need you to endure it.”

At this point, Yaeger could only do her best. ‘At the very least, I have to restore your hearing.’

If she gave it her all, there was a 90% chance she could restore Rakshasa’s hearing. Unfortunately, curing her mutism wasn’t possible just yet. Energy lines extended from the clumps in Rakshasa’s womb and heart, and some of them were directly impacting her vocal nerves.

‘I’ll have to address this later—maybe use the [Holy Spirit Drug] from the game to heal her.’

If under pressure, Yaeger was more likely to opt for the [Holy Spirit Drug].

There were two reasons for this. First, Yaeger’s medical expertise was tied to her proficiency with the [Green Emperor’s Longevity Manual], and with her current progress, it would take her too long to develop the skills needed to fix such intricate problems.

Second, she was soon traveling with Kahn, the disciple of the Great Warrior from the [Sword Clan], to Splitting Mirror Lake to find the Tomb of Leviathan and its hidden treasure.

The [Holy Spirit Drug] she needed was most likely stored within that treasure trove.

‘I never thought I’d end up needing the [Holy Spirit Drug] after all this,’ Yaeger sighed inwardly, a bitter smile forming on her lips. From the start, she had planned to use the [Holy Spirit Drug] to cure Rakshasa’s condition.

Shaking her head, she cleared away these irrelevant thoughts and refocused. Green needles manifested in her hands and were swiftly inserted into Rakshasa’s body.

Rakshasa was surprised, feeling a faint sting of pain.

Yaeger paid no mind, summoning more needles and continuing the treatment. Soon, Rakshasa’s body was covered with green needles.

‘Wait, am I missing a few needles?’ Yaeger suddenly paused, sensing something off.

She leaned back, carefully inspecting the green needles on Rakshasa’s body.

At that moment, she witnessed something bizarre. One of the green needles began to melt like snow, disappearing as it was absorbed into Rakshasa’s body. More needles followed, melting one after another.

“S̲h̲i̲t̲.” Yaeger muttered, encountering this issue for the first time. Her eyes widened, the green glow in her pupils intensifying.

In the next moment, Yaeger realized her life energy was being rapidly absorbed by the energy clumps in Rakshasa’s heart and womb. At the same time, Rakshasa unconsciously smiled faintly, as if in comfort. She appeared to be completely at ease.

‘Oh no, this is really bad. My life energy is going to reawaken her powers and physique prematurely! This isn’t the right time for them to awaken!’

If her powers awakened now, Rakshasa’s conditions would become permanently incurable! At the very least, her vocal nerves would be completely destroyed the moment her powers reawakened.

If that happened, Yaeger would be left with no options. Even her medical skills had their limits!

If she could reach a higher level in the [Green Emperor’s Longevity Manual] and master the [Heretical Seven Needles], she might be able to reverse fate and accomplish the impossible.

But for now, that was nothing more than a distant possibility. A promise she couldn’t fulfill anytime soon.

“I can’t wait that long.” Yaeger narrowed her eyes, summoning more green needles into her hands. She aimed to complete the acupuncture as quickly as possible, before more needles were absorbed.

This was a race against time—a battle between her and the energy clumps inside Rakshasa’s body.

Green needles rained down rapidly. The speed and intensity of the needles caused Rakshasa to feel sharp pain. Yet, Yaeger couldn’t afford to stop. Stopping now would mean total failure!

Despite her best efforts, the energy clumps continued absorbing her life energy at an alarming rate. Rakshasa’s awakening was speeding up uncontrollably!

‘I won’t let you awaken, not yet!’

Fortunately, Yaeger was faster. Ten green needles pierced fiercely into Rakshasa’s body. As soon as the acupuncture session ended, a burst of green light enveloped Rakshasa, forming a glowing cocoon around her.

“Phew, that was close. I almost didn’t make it.”

After inspecting Rakshasa, Yaeger confirmed that the two energy clumps had become dormant once again, making her exhale with relief. Finally, she could relax.

Since reaching the Grandmaster Realm, it was the first time she felt so fatigued. It felt like every ounce of her energy had been drained. Leaning against the bed, Yaeger kept an eye on Rakshasa while taking a moment to rest.

Time crept by. Around thirty minutes later. The green cocoon began to shrink rapidly, transforming into a thin film that clung to her body. The film then disintegrated into particles, which were absorbed into her skin.

When it was all over, Rakshasa emerged looking refreshed, flawless, and even more radiant than before.

“How are you feeling?” Yaeger asked as she stood up slowly.

Rakshasa nodded in response.

Suddenly, her eyes widened in shock. She had just heard a voice!

‘Am I imagining this? I think I heard Princess’ voice… It sounds just like in the game!’

“Looks like your condition is improving,” Yaeger said again.

‘It’s real! I can hear her voice!’ Rakshasa was so overwhelmed with excitement that she almost jumped. In fact, she did leap up, launching herself like a torpedo straight into Yaeger’s arms, hugging her tightly in sheer joy.

Unfortunately, her excitement was silent—she still couldn’t make a proper sound from her mouth.
