“Stardust… are you secretly the devs’ favorite daughter?” Endless Sea asked, his voice trembling.

“Probably not…” Zane replied through Starry, though even he wasn’t entirely confident in that answer.

“This is terrifying, absolutely terrifying,” Endless Sea mumbled to himself, then suddenly moved in close.

Startled, Starry took a step back. “Stardust, I want to become your disciple!”

“Ahaha…” Starry was at a loss for words since none of these feats were really Zane’s doing. “I’m not very good at teaching. But if you really want to learn… how about joining me on future party quests?”

“Awesome! I can’t believe I get to hitch a ride with a pro!”

“Oh yeah, we haven’t checked the loot from the Blood Bat yet, have we?” Zane suddenly remembered.

“Oh, right! Hold on, I’ll bring it out now.”

At that moment, a new world announcement appeared!

Zane was speechless. It seemed this solo expert had already become Starry’s devoted fanboy…

What incredible attributes! With the bonus vitality, it added a total of 280 HP, along with 8 points of strength and 13 points of defense. Now Zane didn’t have to worry about getting one-shot by bosses anymore!

However… the armor required a heavy-armor class to equip. Since he hadn’t chosen a class yet, Zane was uncertain if he should keep it.

She’s the only solo player ranked in the top ten for combat strength within the Glazed Lycoris Radiata. Even though your skills are definitely superior, her insights into the game might be different. It’s best not to provoke her.”

“Got it… though I wouldn’t go out of my way to cause trouble anyway,” Starry replied.

“The quest isn’t shared, so I won’t be heading back with you. I’m already at 96% of level 9. I’ll grind a few more monsters to level up—maybe I can even snag the third-place reward!” Endless Sea said.

Before they knew it, they had reached the cave entrance.

“Alright, we’re off. Later!” Zane waved.

“Later! Call me if you need me.”

“Okay.”

“Grandpa, I’m scared…” Little Lotus, the granddaughter of the village chief, ran over.

“Don’t be afraid, Little Lotus… The monster has been defeated by this big sister,” the village chief reassured her.

“Incredible…” Harrison also showed up. “Miss, how did you defeat the Blood Bat King? Even our young men couldn’t handle a single Blood Bat!”

This is… unexpected.

Where did all these villagers suddenly come from? If Treka had been hiding here, she could’ve wiped you all out! Zane thought this, but naturally, he wouldn’t say it out loud. No one would refuse a reward, after all.

“My companions and I endured many hardships and barely managed to defeat them,” Starry said modestly.

“Soon, I believe the animals outside the village will return to normal as well… Stardust, you’ve saved our entire village. This is your reward!”

The experience bar instantly filled to the max but didn’t push Starry to level 11. It seemed the Beginner Village had a level cap.
