White smoke billowed out as parts of the forest lay destroyed.
“No! No, no! No, no, no, no, no, no!”
Shock gripped me at the sight of the devastation I had wrought.
“I just used a dash skill—it’s not supposed to destroy anything!”
My target had been obliterated.
“But why?!!! Was the level gap with that Mob really that vast? Even if this is a dream, everything feels excessively amplified!”
Trees, gutted and splintered, began collapsing with a series of crackles.
“And it was a massive bear-like Mob… I had just locked on to it, about to identify its name when it just exploded. Something Bear, wasn’t it?” I muttered, a bead of sweat trailing down my face as I turned from the chaos I had unleashed.

Surprised by the loud noise that reverberated through the area, many creatures fled the scene. However, some were drawn to it—those who considered themselves strong.
It was irritated. The sudden shock and loud noise had wounded its pride. Living beings would instinctively flee when they felt threatened. This was the natural reaction of beasts without conscience. However, this one was among the strong.
It could not allow itself to shy away from a challenge that had posed a threat. It was determined to demonstrate who they were dealing with. It did not conceal its agitation and quickly moved in the direction of the sound.
Upon arrival, it was surprised—not by the devastation, but by the one present there. After all, they weren’t supposed to be in a place like this. Encountering humans typically required venturing farther, to the edge of the forest.
Moreover, the human standing before it was a young female. Its surprise quickly turned into excitement. Suddenly, the identity and cause of the loud sound became unimportant.
Before it stood a rare and exquisite catch. Humans were easily subdued. Some of them wielded weapons, but their feeble blades couldn’t penetrate its fur. Simply holding them down with its legs was enough to overpower them.
They would immediately cry out with just a light touch of its claws on their bodies. Furthermore, the sounds made by females were particularly gratifying to it. It savored the thought of extracting those cries, relishing them as if sipping a fine drink, before devouring the meat.
Contemplating the feast ahead, its mouth twisted, revealing massive fangs reminiscent of a saber-toothed tiger. Its enormous, three-meter-long body, akin to a black feline, slowly sank to the ground in a creeping stance.
The two tentacles extending from its shoulders trembled, and its golden eyes narrowed as it seamlessly blended into its surroundings.
«Invisibility»
Manipulate Mana to dissolve one’s presence, rendering them unnoticeable by others. It was now invisible to the human. Some humans possessed Mana and could sense its presence, but they lacked the Magic Power needed to see through its invisibility.
I’ll pin her down and then reveal myself just as I’m about to sink my claws into her. I’m sure she’ll let out a tasty sound, it thought, amusement rippling through it. It then abruptly pounced at its prey.
Its body slightly turned to the right, then its upper body twisted as it swung its arm down toward its target’s weapon.
The creature then exploded with a loud sound. It burst like a balloon, scattering black fur, flesh, and blood everywhere.
“Whoa! Another one exploded… This really can’t even be called overkill. I’m pretty sure this one’s a Quar Jaguar. Are the Mobs around here all beginner class?” I pondered as I surveyed the splattered remains.
I have to admit, this is quite gory. Yet, I’m somewhat okay with it. Did I always have a high tolerance for gore? Wait! Maybe it’s because I’m dreaming.
I convinced myself, feeling oddly unfazed by the gruesome scene.
“I’m finally starting to understand how to use skills!” Skills existed in my consciousness in the form of images. They didn’t appear as icons like they would on a game screen. As long as I visualized the skill I wanted to use, it would activate.
It was akin to deciding whether to throw a straight punch or a hook.
“I wonder if Magic works the same way? Might as well try with Enchanting.”
I raised my hands above my head, still clutching both swords, and began to sway as if dancing. I then started to sing, and as if accompanying my song, the sounds of musical instruments resonated throughout the area.
Little fairies appeared, each playing different instruments such as horns, lutes, harps, drums, guitars, organs, and more. Their melodies weaved together, creating an enchanting atmosphere.
My HP, MP, Recovery, Attack Power, Magic, Agility, Physical Resistance, Magic Resistance, Evasion, Critical Rate, Critical DMG, Movement Speed, Attribute Resistance, Mental Resistance, and Anomaly Resistance all increased significantly.
It seems I can use Magic in the same way. It also appears I can activate a series of them as if they were combined into one macro. Perhaps I’ll try executing a skill combo.
After a while, the little fairies concluded their performance and vanished.
“Many fled due to the earlier commotion, but it seems there are still quite a few Mobs nearby.”
I surveyed the surroundings, utilizing both my Radar and search abilities to pinpoint the Mobs.
Licking my upper lip, a wave of anticipation washed over me.
“Time for testing!”
With an excited grin, I dashed toward the nearest enemy.
