“GRRRRRAGH!!”
“Momo, I’m leaving the golem to you. Don’t hesitate to destroy it—your survival comes first.”
“U-Understood…! Master, be careful too!”

I couldn’t afford to deal with both the girl in front of me and the golem that had turned against us. Daigorou’s handling was left to Momo.

That meant I could focus entirely on the opponent before me… though I wasn’t entirely comfortable leaving my back to Momo. Ideally, I’d finish this quickly.

“Saint, what about you? If cutting down a child weighs on your conscience, you can help Momo instead.”
“Don’t be stupid. If anything, not helping a kid would weigh on me more. Besides, this side is clearly the bigger problem.”
“Don’t call me a child. Neither I nor that girl over there have anything close to a clean background.”
“How rude, catching an innocent, delicate young maiden like me and saying such awful things.”
“That’s a funny joke. Delicate maidens don’t blast holes in ceilings.”

From behind Daigorou’s snarling form, the girl’s piercing gaze locked onto us. Her hands clutched a number of stones—smaller than the first one, but if she threw them all at once, dodging would be near impossible.

“Hmph, whatever. …More importantly, you—was that just now a unique magecraft?”
“And if it was? I have no intention of explaining.”
“That’s fine. I’ll just force the answer out of you—Thus, this is a weapon.

With those words spoken for the third time, she hurled all the stones in her grasp at once.

Any direct hit would be fatal, and on top of that, she had Daigorou charge forward to fill in any gaps in the barrage.

“Momo, just like I said. I’m counting on you.”
“Yes! Leave it to me!”

I deflected every stone’s trajectory to ensure I wasn’t hit, and in that moment, Momo surged forward, slipping through the gaps in the attack.

Without missing a beat, she grabbed a chunk of rubble from the floor and shoved it straight into Daigorou’s mouth—then, using just her arm strength, wrenched it to the side and threw it away.

“GRRRGGHHHH!!!?”
“I’m sorry, Daigorou! I’ll stop you soon, I promise!”
“Seriously? That kid’s strong…”
“Forget about Momo, focus on the fight!”
“Looking away during battle? How careless of you.”

Without sparing a glance at Daigorou and Momo, who had disappeared through the broken wall, the girl skillfully kicked up a stone from the ground.

The projectile, carrying absurd force for its size, easily smashed through the ceiling above, sending a rain of rubble cascading into the room. The sheer quantity of debris wasn’t an issue—I could deflect all of it. The real problem was the thick cloud of dust that completely obscured my vision.

“Tch, First—”
“Wait! The smokescreen works in our favor. Slight right, one o’clock!”
“…I’ll trust you. First Gale!”

I altered my prepared spell and fired it forward in line with the young man’s direction. The spinning projectile punched a hole through the dust screen, revealing the girl who had crept forward in silence.

The bullet struck her arm, sending the knife she had been gripping flying. The blade spun in a graceful arc before embedding itself deep into the room’s wall.

“…I should have erased my presence. Outlander.”
“Too bad. I saw you perfectly on my screen. Skill Call—Shukuchi!”

The air bullet knocked her off balance, and in that instant, the young man rushed into her guard.

A distance that should have required multiple steps was closed in an instant. His katana sliced in a clean horizontal arc, aiming straight for her stomach—

—Or rather, it should have.

“…Even now, you still go for a blunt strike? That’s not kindness, it’s foolishness.”
“Wha—!?”

His blade had come to a complete stop against her stomach.

It wasn’t because he had intentionally pulled his strike—something invisible had halted his sword entirely, as if preventing it from cutting any further.

“Damn it…! It won’t move!?”
“Katana… It really is a beautiful weapon up close. But such things are unnecessary in tools meant for killing.”
“Idiot! Drop your sword and back off!!”

The girl gently pinched the edge of the katana, applying only the faintest pressure. A delicate, almost graceful movement—yet with it came a sharp, ominous crack.

“—Thus, this is no weapon.

The moment the girl declared this, the katana—pristine and unblemished just seconds ago—shattered into countless fragments with a sharp crack.

“You’ve got to be kidding me—Gah!?”

The young man’s body was sent flying like dust in the wind, smashing through the wall and disappearing beyond it. What had struck him was nothing more than a tiny pebble, flicked at him by the girl’s fingers.

“Now then, all that’s left is the white one over there and—”
“Whoa! Master, Mr. Kagase just came flying this way!?”
“Whimper…”
“…Ah, the pink one, then.”

From beyond the hole in the wall, Momo peered into the room, carrying both the unconscious young man and the battered remains of Daigorou.

The golem’s limbs had been completely destroyed, and its torso was so dented and crushed that it could barely move. And yet, the fact that it could still whimper meant its core was intact. Momo had gone all-out on it.

“Momo, take care of that Idiot Black. There’s a good chance his organs are damaged—get him to the saint as fast as you can.”
“B-but wouldn’t it be better if we fought together—”
“Stay back! You touching her is the real danger here!!”
“Even if you realize that now… it’s already too late.”

The girl, who had just been standing in front of me, was suddenly right before Momo. It was the same technique the young man had used earlier—a movement so fast it closed the distance in an instant.

“Whoa!? W-Woah-cha—”
“You did quite a number on my golem, didn’t you? That strength, endurance, stamina… None of it seems remotely human.”

There was no time to chant. She had completely outmaneuvered us. Before I could fire an air bullet without an incantation, the girl’s hand had already touched Momo’s shoulder.

“—Thus, you are a weapon.
