“Mind if I come in?” Kanata, wearing an eyepatch on his face and a bandage around his right hand, asked as he was about to come into Sakura’s room from the window.
“Not at all.”
“I shall, then.”

He quickly entered, closed the windows to both rooms, and then sat down next to Sakura on the nearby bed.

“…Once more, we’re home.”
“You’re right. Somehow time reversed, Mom and the others kept their memories… and there’s a lot I’m curious about, but we made it home safely,” Sakura replied as she closed the gap to Kanata.

Even so, they were already so near, there had hardly been any gap to close.

He squeezed it back.

Sakura’s face turned red in an instant. Kanata regarded her with a smile.

“Not even a… Date with you?” he teased.
“A… a date!”
“Yup. I’ve been thinking about it since we met Big Bro and Mika-nee, but now we could have it on Earth. You don’t want to?”

Sakura vigorously shook her head. Her hair, tied in pigtails, hit the boy repeatedly, but it looked like he didn’t mind.

“I want to go!”
“Great. Then, on a Sunday soon, let’s go clothes shopping, visit the aquarium… and then eat sweets at a café. I’ll pay for everything. That is, if you let me.”

Sakura sighed when she saw Kanata’s face filled to the brim with self-confidence.

“I’d feel bad about that… at least a bit…”
“Right, sorry. That’d probably be a bit much… In that case, for this date, I’ll pay for your clothes in celebration for your eyes being healed. And please let me also pay for the sweets, so I can look cool. We can split the rest like usual.”
“…Is that really alright?”
“Of course, it is.”
“Kanata… you have a habit of paying too much for others, you know?”
“Yep, at least when it comes to you, I’d pay anything.”

Sakura turned red again at his instantaneous reply. However, Kanata considered it the most natural thing to say.

“U-Understood. Even if I ask to pay for more, you probably won’t accept it, right?”

It happened when she was trying to say, I shall take advantage of your generosity. Sakura noticed the scene happening in Ayumu’s room, which was diagonal to her own. It was decidedly too shocking and adult for her.
